You can stream prerecorded yoga classes continuously on YouTube by creating a YouTube Live broadcast and sending it through an encoder such as OBS. The encoder—not a YouTube playlist setting—plays and loops your prepared videos. You can run that encoder on your own computer or use a cloud service designed to keep prerecorded video streaming while your computer is off.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled. YouTube says the channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Check current access in YouTube Studio before preparing the stream.
- Yoga-class recordings and audio you own or are authorized to use in a livestream. Keep copies of relevant licenses and permissions.
- An encoder or hosting service that can send your prepared media to YouTube Live. OBS is a free, open-source software option; dedicated encoding hardware is optional.
How to stream prerecorded yoga classes on YouTube 24/7
- Prepare the classes. Organize the recordings in the order you want them to play. Check that each file has usable audio and that transitions between the final and first videos work if you intend to loop the playlist. Use original or properly cleared music and other material.
- Check live access in YouTube Studio. Confirm that your channel can create a live stream. If live access is unavailable, resolve the eligibility or restriction issue before building the broadcast.
- Create a live broadcast in YouTube Studio. Set the title, description, visibility, and thumbnail. YouTube provides a stream key for connecting an encoder to the broadcast.
- Connect your encoder. In OBS or another encoder, enter the stream key supplied by YouTube Studio. Treat the key like a password: do not share or publish it. OBS is free; a separate hardware encoder is not required for this workflow.
- Load and loop the prepared videos in the encoder or hosting service. Configure playback there rather than expecting an ordinary YouTube playlist to become a livestream. Test a complete pass through the material, including the return to the beginning, for clean transitions, continuous audio, and a stable outgoing connection.
- Start the encoder and verify the broadcast. Confirm the incoming stream and status in YouTube Studio’s live control room, then check the public viewing page from another device or browser. Keep an eye on playback and connection status, particularly after the first loop.
- Plan for interruptions and replays. An encoder or connection can fail, and YouTube’s official guidance does not guarantee an uninterrupted 24/7 feed. If viewers need each class as a replay, record the classes separately and upload or publish them individually; do not rely on a very long livestream archive.
Use your own computer or dedicated hardware
With OBS, the computer running the encoder must remain powered, connected to the internet, and able to play the media for the broadcast to continue. A dedicated video streaming encoder is another possible route, but it is optional; the available guidance does not establish that buying hardware improves reliability for a particular setup. Either way, test your actual files, network, and loop before relying on the stream unattended.
Copyright and YouTube monetization
Clear the rights for every part of the stream
YouTube scans livestreams for third-party material. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material; if the match continues, the broadcast may be interrupted or terminated. YouTube says a rights holder may need to add a licensed channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license or a “royalty-free” label alone does not ensure a match will not interrupt a live stream. Check that the permission covers livestream distribution and the relevant territories, and resolve allowlisting with the owner when needed. YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions place responsibility for obtaining the necessary rights, including music rights, on the content provider.
Permission does not guarantee monetization
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams as well as uploaded videos. Monetized programming is expected to be original and authentic; highly repetitive or mass-produced material may be ineligible. Reused-content review is separate from copyright enforcement, so permission to use material does not by itself make a channel eligible. Give viewers meaningful value through original instruction, thoughtful programming, or materially varied classes. YouTube makes the eligibility decision under its current policies; a 24/7 yoga channel is not assured monetization.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Know the archive limit for long broadcasts
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived. A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all: “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” If an individual class needs to remain available on demand, record and publish that class separately rather than relying on the continuous broadcast archive. See YouTube’s archive live streams guidance.
Troubleshooting common problems
The channel cannot start a livestream
Check live-stream access and restrictions in YouTube Studio. YouTube’s stated prerequisites include channel verification, no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and a streamer who is at least 16.

YouTube interrupts or replaces the stream
Look for a copyright warning or detected match in the live control room. Stop or replace the flagged material; if it is licensed, confirm that the permission specifically covers livestream use and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting.
The playlist stops, skips, or has a gap at the loop point
Check playback settings in the encoder or host, then test the end of the final class returning to the first. Verify the media files and audio independently. YouTube’s playlist interface is not a substitute for configuring loop playback at the encoder or service layer.

The broadcast goes offline while you are away
Check whether the encoder computer, playback, or local internet connection stopped working. A local setup depends on those elements staying available. For any setup, verify its recovery behavior rather than assuming a dropped connection will restart automatically.
The livestream is missing from archives
Check its duration: YouTube warns that broadcasts over 12 hours may not be captured at all. Keep separate recordings and publish class replays individually when they matter.
