To run a 24/7 Gurbani stream on YouTube, prepare a rights-cleared audio-and-video program, connect an encoder to a YouTube stream through Live Control Room, and keep the encoder and its internet connection running while you monitor stream health. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documents how a continuous broadcast can remain live while a separate, shorter broadcast uses the same incoming stream. That arrangement helps organize events; it does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Before you start: confirm access and rights
Check YouTube live-stream eligibility
YouTube’s current eligibility guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. The streamer must be at least 16 years old. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance for the current requirements before you schedule a broadcast.
Clear the specific recordings and visuals
Gurbani as a subject does not determine whether a particular recording can be rebroadcast. The composition or text, a specific performance, its recording, and any accompanying music or visuals can raise separate rights questions. Get permission from the relevant rights holder for the material you plan to use; do not assume devotional or traditional content is automatically free to stream.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including other live broadcasts. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; content that remains can lead to a temporary interruption or termination. Even when you have a licence, the rights owner may need to add your channel to the Content ID allowlist. YouTube for Artists advises: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and YouTube for Artists.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Choose the right setup for a continuous Gurbani program
An encoder workflow suits a prepared program that should continue around the clock: the encoder sends audio and video to YouTube, and the computer and network running it must remain available. If you are broadcasting a live performance or camera feed, you still need an encoder workflow, but the input is live rather than a prepared recording. YouTube lists encoder streaming as one way to go live; its API distinguishes the incoming stream from the viewer-facing broadcast.
A dedicated computer is an optional way to run an encoder locally. YouTube’s guidance does not specify a universal minimum CPU, memory, storage, or connection speed for every encoder and media workload, so choose hardware only after checking the requirements of the encoder and format you intend to use. A local setup also depends on the computer’s power, network, and ongoing monitoring.

Set up the YouTube broadcast and encoder
- Prepare the program. Decide what viewers will see and hear, assemble your permitted recordings and visuals, and check the full sequence for gaps, unwanted silence, abrupt changes, or audio problems. Test with representative audio and video before making the stream public.
- Create the broadcast in YouTube Studio. In Live Control Room, create or select the viewer-facing broadcast and the incoming stream for your encoder. YouTube’s API treats these as separate resources: a
liveBroadcastis the event viewers watch, while aliveStreamis the incoming audio/video feed and its delivery settings. - Copy the ingestion details from YouTube. Use the ingestion address and stream name (stream key) shown for the selected stream. Enter those details in your encoder’s streaming destination fields. Treat the stream key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to send video to your channel.
- Choose compatible encoder settings. Use YouTube’s current settings for your selected resolution, frame rate, codec, and connection. For RTMP-based streaming, YouTube recommends RTMPS. Its encoder guidance recommends constant bitrate and a two-second keyframe interval; the settings table says the interval should not exceed four seconds. Check YouTube’s live encoder settings for current resolution- and frame-rate-specific bitrate guidance instead of guessing or relying on an old preset.
- Run a test and inspect stream health. Start the encoder with representative material and check YouTube’s stream-health indicators, along with the picture, audio levels, and network stability. Select a quality your connection can sustain; a nominally higher setting is not useful if the connection cannot deliver it consistently.
- Start the continuous broadcast. Start sending the encoder feed and confirm that YouTube receives it and the intended broadcast is live. Keep the encoder, source media, computer, and network operating for as long as you want the local feed to continue.
Keep the channel live while running shorter events
YouTube’s Live Streaming API describes a 24/7 broadcast that shares an incoming stream with a separate, simultaneous broadcast. The shorter broadcast can be completed without stopping the continuous feed. In practical terms, this lets you organize a distinct viewer-facing event—such as an interview—while the always-on program continues. This is a broadcast-organization pattern, not a promise that an encoder, internet connection, or YouTube service will never fail. See the YouTube Live Streaming API broadcast workflow and live-streaming events documentation.
Monitor interruptions and plan a response
- Encoder stops or loses power: the outgoing feed stops. Restore power or restart the encoder, then verify in YouTube Studio that the intended broadcast is receiving video and audio again.
- Internet connection drops or becomes unstable: check the connection and the encoder’s sending status. Resume only after the connection can sustain the selected settings, then confirm stream health in Live Control Room.
- YouTube reports a content match or warning: follow the notice and address the rights issue. If the material is licensed, contact the rights owner about the required Content ID allowlisting; a licence alone may not prevent an automated interruption.
- The image or sound is poor: inspect the source file, encoder output, and connection; test again with representative material before returning to a public continuous feed.
YouTube provides stream-health reporting and documents possible copyright interruptions, but those sources do not establish a particular uptime guarantee or a complete redundancy plan. For a locally operated setup, decide who will monitor the feed and how they will respond to power, encoder, network, or rights problems.
