To repeat music while you listen, use YouTube’s Loop or Repeat control on a video or playlist. To broadcast a continuous radio-style stream as a creator, send a repeating program feed from streaming software or a hardware encoder to YouTube Live. These are different workflows: a viewer’s Loop control does not create or automate a live broadcast.
Repeat a YouTube video or playlist as a listener
YouTube’s playback controls repeat content already on YouTube; they do not start a live stream.
On a computer
- Open the video you want to repeat.
- Right-click the video player and select Loop.
- To repeat a playlist, open a video in that playlist, expand the playlist panel, and select its Loop control.
On a phone or tablet
- For one video, open it and select Settings > Additional settings > Loop video.
- For a playlist, play it and use the playlist’s Loop control. YouTube also documents tapping the control a second time to repeat the current video within the playlist.
On a TV or game console
While playback is active, use the remote or controller to select Repeat until it indicates the current video or playlist, or look for Repeat in Settings. The available controls can vary by device.
Broadcast a continuous music stream as a creator
A creator’s radio stream needs a program feed that an encoder sends to YouTube Live. YouTube describes an encoder as a tool that converts video into a digital format for streaming; encoders can be software or standalone hardware. You do not need dedicated hardware if software suits your setup. YouTube’s encoder guidance includes continuous live streams as a possible use of existing content libraries.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
1. Prepare the program feed
Set up your audio or audiovisual source in your streaming software or hardware encoder, and configure its playback or automation to repeat the music. The exact looping control depends on the source player and encoder; YouTube’s guidance does not prescribe one universal software setting. Check that the feed continues playing as expected before taking it live.
2. Create the YouTube Live stream
- In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go Live and set up the stream in Live Control Room.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown there into the matching encoder fields.
- Treat the stream key like a password: it lets the encoder send the feed to your YouTube stream. Do not share it publicly.
3. Send the feed and go live
- Start the source playback and begin streaming from the encoder.
- Check the incoming preview and stream health in Live Control Room.
- Use the Live Control Room controls to bring the broadcast live, then monitor the source and stream for interruptions.
4. Choose whether viewers can rewind
YouTube’s Enable DVR setting lets viewers pause, rewind, and continue during a live stream. DVR is a viewer control, not a way to make a finite recording repeat automatically.

5. End the broadcast and consider the archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Stop the encoder and stream when the broadcast is over. The cited guidance does not establish uninterrupted operation or automatic archiving for a stream lasting longer than 12 hours, so do not rely on either for a longer broadcast.
Clear the music rights before going live
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If matched content remains after a warning, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. Even a licensed track can trigger an interruption unless the rights owner has added your channel to its Content ID allowlist.

Before broadcasting, verify that your permission covers the specific composition and recording, the territories where you plan to stream, live transmission, and any archived playback you intend to keep. Ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting where applicable. YouTube’s livestream terms also place responsibility on providers to have the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights.
Do not assume that a track being available on YouTube, described as “free,” or licensed for a YouTube video is cleared for a continuous live broadcast. YouTube says Creator Music tracks are for long-form videos, not live streams; its help page describes availability for U.S. YouTube Partner Program creators, with expansion outside the U.S. pending. These platform rules do not determine the full legal position in every jurisdiction.
