How to Play Multiple Property Tour Videos in a YouTube Live Stream

A YouTube playlist organizes property tours but does not power a live broadcast. Learn the encoder workflow, eligibility checks, and common fixes.

You can show several property tours in one YouTube Live event, but a YouTube playlist by itself does not feed videos into a live broadcast. Use a playlist to organize the tours, then use an encoder that can play the video files in sequence and send its output to YouTube through the Live Control Room. YouTube’s official setup covers the connection and going live; the exact playlist controls depend on the encoder you choose.

What a YouTube playlist does—and does not do

A YouTube playlist lets you collect videos and arrange their order. You can create one in YouTube Studio, add videos from search, a URL, or your channel library, and drag them into the sequence you want. That organizes the tours for viewers, but YouTube’s playlist instructions do not describe a playlist as the video feed for an outgoing live stream: YouTube playlist help.

A live broadcast instead sends an encoder’s output to YouTube. The encoder connects using the stream URL and stream key shown in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. A viewer’s desktop queue is another separate feature: it is for choosing what to watch next, and it is not saved when the browser closes unless you save it to a playlist. It is not a broadcast automation tool: YouTube queue help.

How to put several property tours into one live event

  1. Prepare the tour videos. Have the video files accessible to the encoder you plan to use, and decide the order, any transitions, and whether to show a holding slide between tours. Check that you have permission to use all footage, music, and other material in a live broadcast.
  2. Organize a YouTube playlist if useful. In YouTube Studio, create a playlist, add the relevant videos from search, a URL, or your channel library, then drag them into the desired order. Treat this as an organizational aid for viewers, not as the encoder’s live input.
  3. Create or schedule the live stream. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create or schedule a stream, and note its stream URL and stream key. Follow YouTube’s current encoder setup instructions for connecting the software: YouTube encoder setup.
  4. Build the sequence in your encoder. Configure the encoder to play the tour files in order and output the resulting presentation. Confirm in that encoder’s own documentation that it supports sequential playback of multiple prerecorded files, transitions, and any holding slides you need. The YouTube setup guide explains how to connect an encoder, but does not give product-specific instructions for building a multi-file sequence.
  5. Send the feed and go live. Start the encoder output. In Live Control Room, wait until YouTube shows the incoming preview, then select Go live. Monitor the broadcast and end it in YouTube when the event is finished. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived; check the current encoder guide for details and limitations.

Check channel eligibility before the event

YouTube’s live-streaming help says a channel must be verified, have no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. These are YouTube’s stated eligibility conditions; review the current help page before scheduling because platform rules can change: YouTube: Get started with live streaming.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Choose an encoder that can sustain the whole presentation

The key requirement is not merely sending a signal to YouTube: the encoder must play multiple prerecorded tours in sequence and maintain a stable output for the event’s full duration. Before committing, verify these capabilities in the specific encoder’s current documentation:

  • Sequential playback of multiple local or hosted video files, including what happens at the end of each clip.
  • Transitions, holding slides, and whether audio continues cleanly between tours.
  • Stable output at your intended resolution and the ability to detect a stopped file or lost network connection.
  • Recovery behavior after a network interruption and whether the presentation resumes at the right point.

There is no universal encoder button path for this workflow. YouTube documents the stream connection and start sequence, while playlist-building steps vary by encoder; do not assume a YouTube Studio playlist will automatically drive the encoder.

Troubleshooting before and during the broadcast

  • No preview in Live Control Room: check that the encoder is running and that it uses the stream URL and key from the correct scheduled or active stream. Wait for YouTube’s incoming preview before selecting Go live.
  • The playlist appears on the channel, but tours do not play live: the playlist organizes YouTube videos; it does not itself supply the encoder’s live output. Configure sequential playback in the encoder.
  • A tour does not advance or a transition is wrong: inspect the encoder’s playlist or media-sequence settings and test the complete sequence before the scheduled event. Exact controls depend on the software.
  • The channel cannot start a live stream: check verification status and whether a live-stream restriction applies, then confirm the streamer meets YouTube’s age requirement.
  • The live event ends earlier than expected: YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Plan the event within that guidance and consult YouTube’s current encoder instructions if you expect a longer broadcast.
