To run a 24/7 CBSE revision stream, send recorded lessons to a scheduled YouTube Live event through an encoder configured with YouTube’s server URL and stream key. YouTube provides the live-event workflow, but uninterrupted looping and recovery from computer, power, software, or network failures need a separate setup that you test and monitor. For a stream that should keep running without a computer at home, a cloud option is available below.
Plan the revision stream around the current CBSE syllabus
Start with the CBSE Academic Unit’s 2026–27 curriculum portal. Select the relevant class and subject, then organize recordings to match the syllabus rather than presenting an unlabeled collection of lessons. The portal includes secondary subjects such as Class X Mathematics, Science, and Social Science; check it again when the academic year or curriculum changes.
A useful rotation can combine topic explanations, worked examples, short recaps, and clear transitions that tell students what comes next. Label the class, subject, chapter or topic, and lesson order in the YouTube stream details and on screen. These are practical editorial choices, not a CBSE requirement.
CBSE circular TRG-02/2026, dated 7 January 2026, describes how repeated telecasts and YouTube availability can support self-paced learning. It also outlines a video-production workflow: identify the subject, topic, and subject-matter expert; develop and review a script; storyboard; record; add graphics; edit; and review the programme. The circular reported 67 e-videos on PM eVidya CBSE-15 at that time; that is a dated count, not a current total.

Prepare recordings and clear rights before going live
Make the lesson sequence coherent
Review each recording for syllabus fit, legibility, audio quality, and a clear start and finish. Arrange lessons in an order that makes sense to a student joining midstream, and use title cards or spoken transitions to identify the topic. Recheck older recordings against the current syllabus before including them.
Check every asset you broadcast
You are responsible for the necessary rights to the video and audio in the stream, including music, images, slides, excerpts, and other third-party material. YouTube’s live-stream terms require rights for worldwide exploitation on Google services, including relevant music licensing rights.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can cause a warning or replacement of the stream with a placeholder; continuing to include the material can lead to a temporary interruption or termination. Even if you have a licence, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube explains this in its live-streaming restrictions guidance.
Check channel eligibility and schedule the YouTube Live event
- Confirm eligibility. YouTube’s current live-streaming requirements say the channel must be verified, must not have a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days, and the person streaming must be at least 16. Check the page before launch for current requirements.
- Schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and choose Manage, then schedule a stream. Scheduling can create an upcoming watch page and allow viewers to set reminders. Follow YouTube’s encoder-stream setup instructions for the current Studio flow.
- Keep the stream key private. YouTube provides a server URL and stream key for the encoder. The key is a credential that lets the encoder send content to your channel; treat it like a password and do not display it in recordings, screenshots, or public instructions.
Send prerecorded video through an encoder
A recording does not become a YouTube live stream merely because it is playing on a computer. An encoder must send its output as a live feed to the scheduled event. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders; it does not require dedicated hardware for this workflow.

- Choose an encoder approach. Use a software encoder if you already have a computer-based workflow and can configure its media playback and restart behavior. YouTube also documents hardware encoders and recommends professional-grade hardware for higher-production-value events, but does not prescribe a particular model for continuous prerecorded playback.
- Configure the feed. Enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key in the encoder’s streaming settings. Configure the encoder to play the prepared recordings in the intended order or playlist. The exact playlist, loop, and restart controls depend on the encoder you choose; YouTube’s setup instructions do not establish a universal configuration or guarantee unattended looping.
- Preview before starting the event. Start the encoder feed and inspect the preview in Live Control Room. Check that the right event receives the feed, the video is visible, and the audio is audible and correctly synchronized. Start the event only after the preview is correct.
- Test the full rotation. Verify what happens at the end of a recording and at the end of the playlist. Check that the next item starts as expected, transitions do not leave a long blank screen or silence, and the encoder behaves as intended after a restart. Do this before relying on it for an overnight or continuous broadcast.
YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend preparing in advance, checking the preview, testing encoder failover, checking local archive files, confirming access through channel and watch pages and on mobile, and monitoring audio and video. For a 24/7 operation, assign someone to respond to alerts and restore the feed; a successful test is not a guarantee that a computer, network, or encoder will run indefinitely.
Design for continuous playback and VOD archives
Plan looping and recovery as separate operational tasks. The encoder needs to keep playing the sequence, and someone needs a tested response if the encoder, power, or connection fails. YouTube’s setup advice does not guarantee unattended playback or automatic recovery.

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived in its live-stream archiving guidance. The cited guidance does not establish that a single uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be archived in the same way. If accessible VODs matter, consider shorter scheduled sessions or make independent recordings, and confirm current Studio behavior before relying on a particular archive outcome.

Repeated prerecorded lessons are not automatically eligible for monetization. YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams. They assess “inauthentic content,” including repetitive or mass-produced material, separately from reused content. Make the educational purpose, original explanation, and editorial work clear; do not promise ad approval or earnings. Ads and some fan-funding features may be available to eligible live streams, subject to current rules and the channel’s status.

Troubleshoot the common failure points
- The event has no incoming feed: Check that the encoder is using the server URL and stream key for the scheduled event, then confirm that the encoder is actually sending. If you reset or replace the key, update the encoder’s saved settings.
- The preview is blank or has no sound: Check the encoder’s selected video and audio sources, the media file’s playback, and the preview in Live Control Room before starting the event.
- The playlist stops or does not restart: Confirm the encoder’s playlist and loop settings, then test the end of the sequence and a manual restart. A 24/7 loop is not guaranteed by YouTube’s event setup alone.
- The stream drops during operation: Check the computer, encoder, and network; review alerts and assign a person to restore the feed. Test any encoder failover in advance rather than assuming it will work.
- A third-party-content warning appears: Identify the matched material and remove it or resolve the rights issue. A licence may not by itself prevent interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel.
- A 24-hour stream has no ordinary archive: YouTube’s automatic archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours. Use shorter sessions or independent recordings when an archive is important, and verify the current behavior in Studio.
- The stream does not earn or qualify for monetization: Review the channel’s status and YouTube’s current monetization policies; looping lessons alone does not establish eligibility.
