One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchOn a computer, open YouTube Studio and go to Content → Live. Select the stream, choose Analytics, then view its watch-time report. You can also check channel-wide live watch time by switching Analytics to channel scope and selecting the Live content filter. For a broadcast that is still running, YouTube documents real-time metrics in Live Control Room, but does not confirm that Analytics shows a cumulative watch-time total for that individual live video before it ends.
Check watch time for a completed live stream
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.
- In the left menu, select Content, then the Live tab.
- Select the live stream you want to inspect and open Analytics.
- Choose the individual-video scope if you want that broadcast’s results. In YouTube Analytics, select the Live content filter to exclude on-demand videos. Choose Live & on demand if you want both types included.
- Open the watch-time report. YouTube says reports are available for an individual video or a channel, and report data can be downloaded as a CSV.
YouTube says stream metrics become available in Analytics within minutes after a live stream ends; it does not specify an exact processing time.
Check channel-wide live watch time
Use channel scope in YouTube Analytics rather than selecting one video, then apply the Live content filter. This answers a different question from the video-level report: it covers the channel’s live content for the selected reporting scope, not only one 24/7 broadcast. Use Live & on demand only when the total should include both formats.
What to check while the 24/7 broadcast is still live
Open the stream in Live Control Room for real-time stream metrics. YouTube identifies concurrent viewers, duration, views, and average view duration among real-time metrics for encoder streams. In the Studio computer interface, the documented route to stream engagement metrics is Content → Live → select the stream → Analytics → Engagement.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Concurrent viewers are the number of people watching at the same time; they are not cumulative watch time. YouTube’s documentation distinguishes Live Control Room’s real-time metrics from Analytics data, which is processed and despammed and based on Video ID. It describes total watch time as a post-stream metric. It does not explicitly establish that Analytics displays the ongoing video’s cumulative total watch time before a 24/7 broadcast ends. Do not treat a real-time viewer count or average view duration as that total.
Choose the view that matches the metric
| Where | Scope and timing | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Video-level Analytics | One selected video; metrics are available within minutes after the stream ends, according to YouTube | Post-stream watch time for that broadcast |
| Channel-level Analytics | Channel scope; select Live or Live & on demand | Watch-time reporting across the selected content types, rather than one broadcast |
| Live Control Room | Real-time stream metrics | Live status and measures such as concurrent viewers; not a documented cumulative Analytics watch-time total for an ongoing video |
The post-stream Total watch time metric means the total time the event was played across all views. Analytics and Live Control Room can differ because Analytics uses processed, despammed data and a Video ID basis, while Live Control Room provides real-time metrics.

Dual horizontal and vertical streams
For a dual horizontal/vertical broadcast, Live Control Room combines metrics for both formats. YouTube says metrics for only the vertical stream become available 24 hours after the stream ends. To isolate vertical performance on desktop, open the ended stream in Studio, select Analytics → Advanced mode, set Breakdown to Playback location, choose a date range longer than the first 24 hours, and select Vertical live feed.
Troubleshooting watch-time figures
- You cannot find a running total for a stream that is still live: YouTube’s documentation does not confirm a cumulative individual-video watch-time total in Analytics while the broadcast is ongoing. Use Live Control Room for its documented real-time metrics, then check video-level Analytics after the stream ends.
- The figure looks lower or different from a live count: Concurrent viewers are not watch time, and Analytics data is processed and despammed rather than a real-time display.
- The report includes the wrong videos: Confirm whether Analytics is set to video or channel scope, and select Live or Live & on demand to match the question.
- You need the results outside Studio: YouTube says watch-time report data can be downloaded as CSV.
- You cannot isolate vertical-feed performance immediately: YouTube’s documented vertical-only metrics availability is 24 hours after the dual stream ends.
YouTube notes that the Studio experience is being updated, with rollout starting July 2026, so labels or navigation may vary by account. The documentation does not explain whether separate events, restarts, or interruptions are consolidated into one continuous 24/7 total.
