Create one YouTube playlist for each livestream series, then save each available replay to the playlist that matches it. For example, keep weekly Q&A replays separate from game-night streams. You can organize them from a replay’s watch page or manage your channel’s playlists in YouTube Studio.
Create separate playlists from your livestream replays
- Find an available replay. Open the completed livestream replay on YouTube. A playlist can organize a video that is available on YouTube; it cannot create a replay or recover a stream that was not archived.
- Create a playlist for the series. On the replay’s watch page, select More → Save → Create new playlist. Enter a descriptive name, such as “Weekly Q&A replays” or “Game night livestreams,” choose the playlist’s visibility, and create it. YouTube documents this desktop workflow in its playlist instructions.
- Save later replays to the right playlist. Open each replay, select More → Save, and choose the playlist for that series. YouTube shows a confirmation naming the playlist that received the video. If you picked the wrong one, open Save again and change the selection.
Repeat with a new playlist for each distinct show, game, or recurring event. Use titles and descriptions that accurately explain what is in each collection; YouTube prohibits misleading playlist titles or descriptions and applies its Community Guidelines to playlists and their contents. Choose who can see each playlist
Set visibility when creating the playlist, and check it before sharing. Choose private for personal organization. If you want viewers or other people to access the collection, use a visibility setting that permits that access. Manage playlists in YouTube Studio
If you own the channel and are organizing several replay collections, you can create and maintain playlists in YouTube Studio instead of saving each one from a watch page.

- In YouTube Studio, select Create → New playlist.
- Enter the title and description, choose visibility, add the videos, and create the playlist.
- To manage an existing playlist, find it under the Studio Content area and open its details or arrangement controls.
YouTube Studio supports playlist management and ordering. YouTube also notes a daily limit on how many public playlists a channel can create; access to advanced features can increase that limit. The cited help does not state a numeric limit. See YouTube Studio playlist guidance.
Reorder videos within a playlist
On desktop, open the playlist and drag videos up or down to change their order. You can also manage arrangement in YouTube Studio. Ordering is useful when you want viewers to watch a series in sequence, but it does not change the replay’s availability or the playlist’s visibility.

Create or update a playlist on Android
In the YouTube app, open a video and select More → Save → New playlist. Enter a name and set privacy. You can also create a playlist from the You tab. After saving a video, the app provides a way to change where it was saved. App labels may change; look for Save or Add to playlist if the wording differs. See YouTube’s playlist instructions.
Check the archive if a livestream is missing
Playlist organization starts only after a replay or highlights video is available on YouTube. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. That does not guarantee that every shorter stream will be available as a replay. YouTube Help recommends: “We recommend recording a local archive as a backup.” Find the replay or highlights video on your channel first; if nothing is available, adding a playlist will not restore it. Optional: mark a playlist as an official series
For a recurring show on your own channel, YouTube lets eligible creators designate a playlist as an official series of videos intended to be watched together. Videos in a series may be featured or recommended when viewers watch another video in that series. This is optional; ordinary playlists are enough to keep livestream replays separate.
YouTube’s series-playlist restrictions include a verified account, a limit of one series playlist per video, and the requirement that the channel uploaded the included videos and has the rights to them. Details are in YouTube’s series playlist guidance.
