First identify which playlist is repeating. If you are watching a YouTube playlist, set repeat for the playlist rather than only the current video. If you run a 24/7 livestream, check the playlist or file sequence feeding the stream: the watch-page repeat control does not change what your encoder or hosted service sends.
Are you watching a playlist or running a livestream?
These are separate systems. A viewer playlist is a set of videos being played on YouTube. A creator’s livestream source is the sequence of prerecorded files an encoder or hosted broadcaster sends as one live feed. A repeated video in one system is not necessarily a problem in the other.
- You are watching: check whether repeat is set for the current video or the entire playlist.
- You operate the stream: inspect the media source and what it sends at the end of each file.
Fix repeat on a viewer playlist
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist box and select its Loop control. Check that the setting applies to the playlist, not just the current video.
- On a TV or game console, select the playlist and choose Repeat until the control reads Repeat • Playlist. YouTube documents a separate repeat state for the current video.
The exact controls vary by device. YouTube Help’s looping instructions cover computer and mobile playback as well as TV and game console playback. If the whole playlist is meant to cycle but only one video repeats, changing the repeat scope is the relevant fix.
Fix a 24/7 livestream source that keeps sending one video
Changing a YouTube watch-page loop setting cannot repair the creator’s outgoing feed. Check the playlist or file sequence in the encoder or hosted streaming service that supplies the live broadcast.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Inspect the source sequence. Open the playlist or queue in the encoder or hosted service. Confirm the intended files are present and in the right order.
- Check what happens when a file ends. Verify that the source is configured to continue to the next file and, if intended, restart the sequence after the last file. The exact setting name and location depend on the encoder or service.
- Watch the outgoing feed at a file boundary. If it returns to the same file when another should play, the repeat is likely in the source workflow. If the source changes as expected but the viewer still sees the same item, investigate playback separately.
- Check continuity as well as order. YouTube’s live-stream setup documentation describes encoder streaming as one way to send a live feed. Google’s live-stream API documentation describes a continuous feed using a liveStream resource bound to liveBroadcast resources. These are broadcast and source concepts, distinct from a viewer’s playlist controls.
There is no universal menu path or setting for every third-party encoder and hosted service. Identify the product and its source configuration before following product-specific instructions.
Choose the right workflow after diagnosing the repeat
If the source sequence is the issue, the relevant choice is where that sequence runs and who maintains it—not which viewer-side repeat button is enabled. With a local encoder, you maintain the computer and encoder supplying the feed. A hosted service runs its own cloud playlist workflow; check that service’s current terms and the behavior it supports before choosing it. These workflow differences do not establish a performance ranking between services.

Hardware shopping is not a sensible first fix. The available remedies point to playback settings or source configuration, not to a camera, capture card, cable, or other accessory.
