Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo run recorded tuition classes as a continuous YouTube Live stream, enable live streaming on an eligible channel, create a broadcast in YouTube Studio, and send your recordings through an encoder using YouTube’s stream URL and key. For a true 24/7 feed, the encoder and its internet connection must keep running—or a cloud service must do that work. Test privately before going public, clear rights to everything in the recordings, and do not rely on YouTube to archive a stream that runs 12 hours or longer as one complete video.
Check channel eligibility and plan the stream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. Its getting-started guidance also says the person livestreaming must be at least 16. Check the channel’s status in YouTube Studio and enable live streaming if prompted; activation may take time. Confirm the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Decide whether you need one continuous watch page or a series of scheduled broadcasts. A continuous feed is convenient for viewers who arrive at different times, but it is harder to maintain and does not guarantee a single complete archive. Scheduled, shorter broadcasts take more setup but make it easier to organize lessons and stay within YouTube’s stated archive window for streams under 12 hours.
YouTube’s developer documentation distinguishes a liveStream, the encoder feed, from a liveBroadcast, the event viewers watch. It documents a continuous 24/7 feed and the ability to associate a separate broadcast with the same feed; it does not promise uninterrupted operation. Most tuition channels can create and manage their event through Studio rather than using the API. See Google’s explanation of broadcasts and streams.

Audit recorded classes before broadcasting
Review every class in the playlist, not only the teacher’s lesson. You are responsible for having the rights needed to stream the material, and YouTube may detect third-party content during a live stream and interrupt it. A licence does not necessarily prevent an interruption: the rights holder may need to allowlist the channel in Content ID. Consult YouTube’s livestream terms and copyright guidance for live streams.
- Check music, textbook pages, slides, stock footage, software demonstrations, and any clips embedded in the lesson.
- Get appropriate permission for guest appearances and recordings that include students. Remove private student information that should not be broadcast.
- Make sure the classes follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and applicable rules for your operation and audience. YouTube’s terms refer to applicable territory requirements; the obligations for an Indian tuition business depend on its circumstances, so verify what applies to you.
- Keep evidence of permissions and licences, and have a replacement class or holding screen ready if a video must be removed.
Choose a playback method
Use an encoder on a computer
YouTube’s encoder workflow can send a live feed while prerecorded classes play as the source. This is the direct do-it-yourself option if you already have a suitable computer and encoder. YouTube does not prescribe a specific computer specification or require a paid encoder for this file-playback use case. The computer, encoder, source files, power, and internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue.

Use a continuous feed or separate broadcasts
A single ongoing feed reduces repeated setup, but creates more operational and archive uncertainty. Separate scheduled broadcasts can give each session its own title and watch page and make archive management more practical. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; its cited guidance does not establish that a 24-hour-or-longer stream will be saved as one complete video. If lesson archives matter, use shorter broadcasts or keep separate recordings and verify the resulting files.
Set up the stream in YouTube Studio
- Prepare your playlist. Arrange the recordings in the intended order, confirm each file plays correctly, and decide how the playlist should repeat. Keep a local copy of the source files.
- Create the event. In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live and use Live Control Room to start an encoder stream or schedule one. Choose a clear title and description, set the audience and privacy options accurately, and check the scheduled start time if applicable. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions are at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the connection details. In the stream setup, copy the stream URL (server URL) and stream key into the matching fields in your encoder. The key is a credential: do not post it, include it in a public screenshot, or share it with people who do not need access. Reset it in Studio if it is exposed.
- Configure the encoder. Select the class playlist as the media source and confirm the output matches the source and your connection’s capacity. Use the stream settings displayed by YouTube and the encoder; the supplied YouTube setup guidance does not prescribe one bitrate or resolution for every class and connection. YouTube’s live-stream settings guide explains the available stream settings.
- Preview before going public. Start sending the feed, wait for the preview in Live Control Room, and check picture, audio, orientation, and transitions between files. Test as private or unlisted first, then inspect the watch page on both a phone and a desktop before launching publicly.
- Start and monitor. Start the broadcast in Studio when the preview is correct. Monitor the encoder, YouTube’s stream status, internet connection, and whether the playlist advances. YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend monitoring stream quality and checking that local archive files grow during encoder events.
Keep a do-it-yourself stream running
A computer-based stream is only as continuous as the equipment and connection feeding it. For a 24/7 schedule, decide who will notice an interruption and what they should do; test the restart procedure before publishing the stream.

- Prevent sleep or automatic shutdown while the encoder is running, and confirm the computer can play the full playlist without pausing for prompts or updates.
- Use a stable internet connection and check the stream after the playlist changes files. A connection drop or encoder failure can stop the feed; restart it and confirm the YouTube preview returns.
- Plan for local power and network interruptions. A UPS is optional if local power continuity is a concern, but it does not replace a stable internet connection or restart plan.
- Keep an operator able to check the stream, handle copyright alerts, and restart the encoder. The platform documentation describes monitoring and failover testing, not guaranteed uptime.
Protect lesson archives and monetization eligibility
Do not treat a 24-hour livestream as a dependable recording strategy. YouTube states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, but does not establish the same assurance for longer streams. If you need a retained lesson library, schedule shorter broadcasts or record and segment the classes separately, then check that the expected videos are actually available after each session.
Technical success does not ensure monetization. YouTube’s monetization policy says content should be original and authentic; repetitive or mass-produced material falls under its inauthentic-content policy, and reused-content review applies at channel level. The policy page records a July 15, 2025 clarification about inauthentic content. A looped playlist is not automatically eligible, and no particular channel’s review outcome can be predicted. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies and assess the channel separately from the stream’s technical setup.

Troubleshoot common failures
| What you see | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| Live streaming is unavailable | The channel is not verified, has a recent restriction, or has not completed activation. | Check eligibility and any Studio prompts; allow for activation time before the planned launch. |
| Studio receives no encoder feed | The stream URL or key is missing, incorrect, or paired with the wrong stream setup. | Compare the encoder fields with the current values in Live Control Room. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder. |
| The preview is black, silent, or shows the wrong lesson | The playlist/source selection, playback, or audio routing is incorrect. | Play the file locally, check the encoder’s selected source and audio, then restart the preview and verify the watch page. |
| The feed stops or repeatedly disconnects | Computer, power, network, or encoder interruptions. | Check the encoder and connection, restore the feed, and confirm the preview is live again. Review the setup’s power and network continuity plan. |
| A copyright warning appears or the stream is interrupted | A third-party match was detected, or the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel. | Review the flagged material and its permissions; remove or replace content you cannot stream, and contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting where appropriate. |
| The 24-hour stream is not available as one archive | The stated automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours, not a 24-hour-or-longer stream. | Use shorter broadcasts or maintain separate recordings, then verify the saved files. |
