Restream lets eligible plans loop a video up to 10 times, while Gyre markets playlists and continuous streaming. Before choosing, compare the loop behavior, storage, quality, stream count and current total cost against your actual schedule.
Where StreamNeo fits
- StreamNeo — runs uploaded videos and playlists continuously from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free.
- Gyre — the more directly positioned option here for continuous streaming of prerecorded video, with playlists and scheduling.
- Restream — supports scheduled prerecorded YouTube events, with looping documented up to 10 times on specified plans.
This is a feature-fit comparison, not a reliability test or a promise of audience growth, monetization, or YouTube policy approval. StreamNeo is YouTube-only and plays uploaded video; it does not stream from a camera. Its service details are at StreamNeo.

Choose by the loop you need
Choose Gyre for a continuous playlist
If the requirement is to keep prerecorded videos cycling as a continuing YouTube live stream, Gyre’s advertised focus is closer to that workflow. Check the live plan comparison for how many simultaneous streams, storage, and quality your chosen tier actually permits. The source page describes playlists, a scheduler and storage, but does not establish a universal loop cap or independent uptime result.

Choose Restream for scheduled events or a bounded loop
Restream documents scheduled prerecorded events that start automatically while you are offline. Its optional loop runs up to 10 times and is listed for Marathon and Media add-on plans, so it is not equivalent to an indefinitely repeating playlist. Its help page displayed the following plan examples when accessed on 2026-10-03:
- Premier: $39/month, a 2-hour video library and 1080p.
- Marathon: $79/month, a 4-hour video library and 1080p.
- Media: $239/month, a 12-hour video library and 4K.
These are amounts shown in the help article, not a guarantee of current checkout pricing, billing terms or tax treatment. Confirm the current plan and add-on requirements before paying. See Restream’s event documentation. Its separate Upload & Stream page markets playlists, scheduling and looping; do not rely on apparent “$0/mo” search extracts as pricing when the help page lists paid plans.

Check the full library, quality and stream count
Do not compare a provider by its headline label alone. Work out how much prerecorded material you need available, how many destinations or concurrent streams you need, and whether your source files meet the plan’s resolution limits. A plan’s storage in hours and a plan’s storage in gigabytes are different measures; neither by itself tells you how many files fit unless file duration and size are considered.
- Loop length: Calculate whether one 10-pass event is enough, or whether the playlist must continue indefinitely.
- Library: Compare total stored video time or GB with the size and duration of your actual catalog.
- Quality: Confirm the selected plan’s resolution and any frame-rate or conversion requirements. Gyre’s cited page includes HD and 4K options; Restream’s listed examples range from 1080p to 4K by plan.
- Concurrency: Check simultaneous stream allowances if you operate several channels or need multiple broadcasts at once.
- Cost period: Compare the price for the period you will actually run the stream, plus any required add-on. The Restream figures above are dated plan examples, and Gyre’s current checkout should be verified.
Plan around YouTube setup and archives
Confirm live-stream eligibility and current channel requirements in YouTube Studio before scheduling. YouTube’s official starting point is its live-streaming help page. Restream’s setup guide says first-time users may need phone verification and a 24-hour wait, and that the connected account must own the channel rather than only have manager or editor access: Restream’s YouTube setup instructions.

Do not confuse how long a broadcast can remain live with how long YouTube keeps it as a replay. Restream says it does not limit stream duration, but warns that maintenance can restart a stream after more than 24 continuous hours and recommends restarting every 24 hours. The same guidance says YouTube archives only streams under 12 hours. A 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be treated as one complete archive. See Restream’s stream-duration guidance.
This comparison does not establish that any particular repeated or prerecorded content qualifies for monetization or complies with every YouTube policy. Rights to the video and audio still matter, and platform eligibility and review are separate from the streaming service’s features. Check current YouTube rules for your channel and content rather than treating a successful scheduled broadcast as approval.

Alternatives and fit
For a YouTube creator who wants a cloud loop without keeping a computer on, StreamNeo is the first alternative to try: upload a recording or playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops uploaded material in the cloud, supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day without a card. StreamNeo is limited to YouTube and does not broadcast from a camera.
YTStream is another vendor-described hosted option; its site advertises 24/7 streaming, looping playlists, automatic restart and per-stream monthly pricing. Those are vendor claims, not independently verified results. See YTStream if per-stream pricing is your priority.
