सीधा जवाब: OBS रुकने पर YouTube लाइव जारी रखने का भरोसेमंद DIY उपाय है कि प्रसारण से पहले दूसरा encoder तैयार करें, YouTube के उपलब्ध backup विकल्प के साथ उसे configure करें और primary OBS encoder रोककर failover की जांच करें। सिर्फ दूसरा encoder install कर लेना पर्याप्त नहीं है। दोनों encoders साथ चलने पर उनके bitrates जोड़कर कुल upload जरूरत में YouTube की सुझाई गई 20% अतिरिक्त क्षमता रखें। बच्चों के वीडियो के लिए सही audience setting और चैनल की live-streaming eligibility भी जांचें।
पहले समझें: backup encoder क्या बचा सकता है?
Backup encoder encoding-side खराबी—जैसे OBS crash या कंप्यूटर बंद हो जाना—के समय काम आ सकता है, लेकिन यह हर रुकावट का इलाज नहीं है। बिजली, इंटरनेट या YouTube की ओर से लगी live-streaming restriction को encoder backup अपने-आप ठीक नहीं करता। YouTube के अनुसार, यदि आपके चैनल पर live streaming प्रतिबंध है, तो दूसरे चैनल से प्रसारण करके उसे दरकिनार करना restriction circumvention हो सकता है। YouTube की live-streaming restrictions संबंधी नीति देखें।
शुरू करने से पहले eligibility और kids settings जांचें
- YouTube के वर्तमान सहायता पृष्ठ के मुताबिक चैनल verified होना चाहिए और पिछले 90 दिनों में उस पर live-streaming restriction नहीं होनी चाहिए। Encoder YouTube पर live जाने का एक उपलब्ध तरीका है। Live streaming शुरू करने की पात्रता जांचें।
- Kids वीडियो के लिए तय करें कि stream “Made for Kids” है या नहीं और YouTube Studio में audience setting सही चुनें। Made for Kids live streams पर live chat, replay, Super Chat और personalized ads जैसी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध नहीं रहतीं। Audience setting को backup के दौरान बदलने की तरकीब न समझें।
- YouTube के वर्तमान सहायता पृष्ठ के अनुसार streamer की न्यूनतम उम्र 16 वर्ष है। यदि 13–15 वर्ष के प्रतिभागी किसी वयस्क के बिना visibly मौजूद हों, तो chat disable हो सकती है और stream हटाई जा सकती है। यह YouTube का नियम है, भारत-विशिष्ट कानूनी निष्कर्ष नहीं।
- अधिकार के बिना संगीत, कार्टून, गेम फुटेज या दूसरे लोगों का वीडियो प्रसारित न करें। Stream में इस्तेमाल की सामग्री के अधिकार आपके पास होने चाहिए; तकनीकी backup कॉपीराइट समस्या को हल नहीं करता।
OBS के लिए backup encoder कैसे तैयार करें
- YouTube Studio में live setup खोलें: Live Control Room में चैनल की eligibility, चुना हुआ event और stream key जांचें। Encoder setup में YouTube server URL और stream key जोड़े जाते हैं; key को निजी credential की तरह रखें और उसे सार्वजनिक रूप से साझा न करें। YouTube का encoder setup मार्गदर्शन देखें।
- Primary OBS प्रसारण पहले test करें: दर्शकों के लिए निर्धारित समय से पहले stream configure और start करें। Live Control Room का preview देखें और पक्का करें कि वीडियो, आवाज और stream health अपेक्षा के मुताबिक हैं।
- Backup encoder को पहले से configure करें: ऐसा दूसरा encoder या YouTube का उपयुक्त backup ingestion विकल्प तैयार रखें जिसे प्राथमिक encoder रुकने पर इस्तेमाल किया जा सके। Backup को असली प्रसारण से पहले उसी तरह जांचें जिस तरह उसे संकट में चलाना होगा। YouTube के सुझाए परीक्षण में primary encoder रोकना या उसका Ethernet cable निकालना और player को backup encoder पर जाते देखना शामिल है।
- Bandwidth की गणना करें: उपलब्ध upload bandwidth दोनों एक साथ चलने पर primary और backup के bitrates का योग संभाल सके। YouTube की सलाह है कि कुल bitrate की जरूरत के ऊपर लगभग 20% अतिरिक्त क्षमता रखें। मसलन, यदि दोनों encoders मिलकर 10 Mbps भेजते हैं, तो करीब 12 Mbps की उपलब्ध upload क्षमता का लक्ष्य रखें। अस्थिर या साझा Wi‑Fi से बचें; यह उदाहरण गणना समझाने के लिए है, YouTube की कोई अनिवार्य bitrate नहीं। YouTube की streaming tips देखें।
- Failover को सचमुच चलाकर देखें: परीक्षण प्रसारण में primary OBS encoder रोकें या उसका नेटवर्क disconnect करें। YouTube player पर देखें कि backup से वीडियो आता है या नहीं, और Live Control Room preview तथा stream health भी जांचें। केवल software खुल जाना failover का प्रमाण नहीं है।
- स्थानीय रिकॉर्डिंग और आवाज जांचें: यदि OBS में local archive चालू है, तो recording file का आकार बढ़ रहा है यह देखें और बाद में जांचें कि file ठीक से खुलती है। Backup पर जाते समय आवाज, वीडियो और playback भी जांचें।

चुनते समय चार बातें तौलें: failover स्वतः है या manual, दोनों encoders का कुल bitrate, दर्शकों के लिए स्वीकार्य latency, और local archive उपलब्ध है या नहीं। YouTube Live Control Room में stream health देखकर प्रसारण की स्थिति पर नजर रखें।
आम समस्याएं और उनके उपाय
- OBS बंद हुआ और stream भी रुक गई: backup encoder पहले से configure नहीं था, या failover test सफल नहीं हुआ। अगली live से पहले YouTube के परीक्षण तरीके से primary रोककर backup चलाकर देखें।
- Backup शुरू करने पर buffering या disconnect: संभव है कि दोनों streams की संयुक्त bitrate upload क्षमता से अधिक हो। दोनों bitrates जोड़ें, करीब 20% reserve रखें और साझा या अस्थिर Wi‑Fi की जगह अधिक स्थिर connection आजमाएं।
- Backup encoder जुड़ता नहीं: YouTube Studio में event और key दोबारा जांचें; HLS उपयोग करते हैं तो Live Control Room से लिया गया सही server URL और stream URL तथा encoder compatibility जांचें। Stream key को सार्वजनिक न करें।
- HLS पर दर्शकों को ज्यादा delay दिखता है: HLS में ultra-low latency उपलब्ध नहीं होती। यदि बहुत कम delay जरूरी है, तो अपने प्रसारण के लिए उपयुक्त अन्य encoder setup चुनें और उसे पहले test करें।
- Stream बंद हुई और चैनल live नहीं जा पा रहा: चैनल पर restriction है या नहीं, eligibility जांचें। दूसरे चैनल से उसी restriction को bypass करने की कोशिश न करें।
- वीडियो चल रहा है, लेकिन kids सुविधाएं नहीं दिखतीं: Made for Kids live stream में chat, replay, Super Chat और personalized ads जैसी सुविधाएं उपलब्ध नहीं रहतीं। यह audience setting से जुड़ा परिणाम है, encoder failure नहीं।
