सबसे पहले पता करें कि OBS में सचमुच network dropped frames बढ़ रहे हैं या समस्या encoding/rendering की है। नेटवर्क drops हों तो upload capacity, bitrate और network path जाँचें; “encoding overloaded” दिखे तो scene और GPU का भार घटाएँ। दर्शकों की buffering एक अलग समस्या हो सकती है। भारत के किसी खास ISP या शहर को दोषी ठहराने का आधार नहीं है—नीचे दिए गए steps से अपने stream के आँकड़ों के आधार पर कारण पहचानें।
पहचानें: network drops, encoding lag या viewer buffering?
एक ही “lag” के पीछे अलग कारण हो सकते हैं। OBS के आँकड़े और YouTube Live Control Room के health संदेश साथ देखें; संदेश के timestamp लिखें ताकि उन्हें OBS के counters या logs से मिला सकें। YouTube के Live streaming error messages और Live stream metrics इसमें मदद करते हैं।
- Network dropped frames: OBS के अनुसार यह आपके कंप्यूटर और remote ingest server के बीच network connection की समस्या का संकेत है; उपलब्ध upload क्षमता से अधिक bitrate भी वजह हो सकती है।
- Encoding या rendering overload: network drops न बढ़ें, लेकिन OBS “encoding overloaded” दिखाए या output choppy हो, तो encoder, GPU, frame rate या scene load देखें।
- Viewer-side buffering: दर्शकों को buffering हो सकती है, भले OBS में dropped frames न हों। ऐसे में broadcaster के network को अकेला कारण न मानें।
“Dropped frames” के निदान के लिए तीनों को एक metric में न मिलाएँ: OBS network drops, OBS encoding/rendering lag, और दर्शक की playback buffering अलग चीजें हैं।
पहले upload capacity और bitrate जाँचें
स्थिर upload speed को आधार बनाएँ
Advertised download speed यह नहीं बताती कि stream के लिए कितना upload उपलब्ध है। YouTube कहता है कि कुल streaming bitrate उपलब्ध upload bandwidth से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए और 20% headroom छोड़ने की सलाह देता है। अगर primary और backup encoder दोनों एक साथ stream भेज रहे हैं, तो दोनों का bitrate जोड़कर हिसाब करें। विवरण के लिए YouTube streaming tips देखें।

Resolution, frame rate और codec के अनुसार bitrate चुनें
YouTube की H.264 encoder तालिका में ये recommended bitrates दिए गए हैं। ये encoder configuration recommendations हैं, हर network या 24/7 setup के लिए गारंटी नहीं। दूसरे codec के लिए तालिका के मान अलग हो सकते हैं।

ये मान YouTube की live encoder settings guidance से हैं; इन्हें अन्य codec पर लागू न करें। अगर स्थिर upload और 20% headroom के बाद चुना bitrate फिट नहीं होता, bitrate घटाएँ या resolution/frame rate कम करें। YouTube stream से पहले मिलते-जुलते audio और motion के साथ test करने की सलाह देता है—स्थिर चित्र पर किया परीक्षण वास्तविक बच्चों के वीडियो जैसी motion को नहीं दर्शा सकता।

Network drops को क्रम से troubleshoot करें
- Bitrate घटाकर test करें. OBS में stream output bitrate कम करें और देखें कि network dropped-frame counter रुकता है या नहीं। Quality और स्थिरता के बीच trade-off नोट करें; लगातार कम bitrate से तस्वीर की quality घटेगी।
- Wi-Fi की जगह Ethernet से जाँचें. OBS streaming के लिए Wi-Fi को संभावित रूप से अस्थिर बताता है। Wired connection पर एक test करें। संदिग्ध cable, router/modem, network card, switch या extender भी जाँचें। Cable बदलना ISP congestion या खराब route ठीक होने की गारंटी नहीं है।
- VPN और security software को एक-एक करके जाँचें. OBS की troubleshooting guidance VPN या security software interference, पुराने network drivers और कुछ network-priority utilities द्वारा OBS को कम प्राथमिकता देने को संभावित कारण बताती है। एक बार में एक बदलाव करें, test पूरा होने पर security software फिर चालू करें।
- दूसरा ingest endpoint आज़माएँ, यदि उपलब्ध हो. Encoder या सेवा में server/endpoint चुनने का विकल्प हो तो दूसरे endpoint से परीक्षण route समस्या पहचानने में मदद कर सकता है; यह विकल्प हर setup में उपलब्ध नहीं होता।
- लक्षण जारी हों तो evidence के साथ ISP से संपर्क करें. समस्या के timestamps, OBS logs और YouTube Live Control Room health संदेश दें। OBS के Stream Connection Troubleshooting में network path की जाँच के उपाय हैं।
OBS का dynamic bitrate विकल्प congestion के दौरान bitrate घटाकर drops कम कर सकता है, लेकिन यह मूल network समस्या को ठीक नहीं करता; bitrate घटने पर picture quality भी कम हो सकती है।
अगर OBS encoding overloaded दिखाए
Network counter सामान्य हो, लेकिन encoding/rendering lag या “encoding overloaded” दिखे, तो bitrate को बार-बार बदलना पर्याप्त उपाय नहीं है। पहले scene और local GPU workload कम करें।

YouTube ingest settings और stream preflight
Encoder format और keyframes
YouTube RTMP/RTMPS stream configuration के लिए H.264 video, AAC या MP3 audio, CBR और 2-second recommended keyframe interval बताता है; keyframe interval 4 seconds से अधिक न हो। RTMPS इस्तेमाल करने की सलाह भी YouTube देता है। यदि Live Control Room किसी format error की सूचना दे, तो error के अनुसार format درست करें—बिना उस संकेत के format बदलना जरूरी नहीं। पूरी तालिका और configuration guidance YouTube encoder settings में है।

24/7 stream शुरू करने से पहले
- Encoder में resolution, frame rate, codec और bitrate सेट करें।
- Scheduled start से पहले encoder चलाएँ और YouTube Live Control Room का preview देखें।
- Channel/watch page तथा mobile पर playback जाँचें; audio और video को लगातार monitor करें।
- यदि backup encoder है, तो failover test करें। Local archive इस्तेमाल करते हैं तो जाँचें कि recording file बढ़ रही है।
- हर बदलाव या interruption का समय लिखें और उसे OBS व YouTube के health timestamps से मिलाएँ।
YouTube की encoder से live stream बनाने की guidance preflight और setup जानकारी देती है। यह किसी खास 24/7 backup architecture या uptime SLA को निर्धारित नहीं करती।
