Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?

Do not click End Stream unless the broadcast is finished: ending the event is not the same as briefly disconnecting the encoder, and YouTube’s help does not guarantee that an explicitly ended event can be reopened on the same page.
Stop the encoder or end the YouTube event?
A scheduled broadcast has two parts: the YouTube event, managed in Live Control Room, and the encoder, which sends the audio and video using that event’s stream URL and key. Stopping or restarting the encoder interrupts the feed; clicking End Stream explicitly finishes the broadcast in YouTube’s scheduled-stream workflow.
- Temporary interruption: restore or restart the encoder output and check that YouTube receives the feed. Do not click End Stream just to reconnect.
- Broadcast is finished: click End Stream in Live Control Room, then stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube’s live-streaming tips say to stop the encoder after the event has stopped on YouTube (YouTube live-streaming tips).
YouTube’s public help does not clearly establish whether an event explicitly ended in Live Control Room can be reopened on the same event page. If it is marked complete, check the event’s status in YouTube Studio’s Live tab and Live Control Room. If another broadcast is needed, create or schedule a new stream and share its link.
Restart a scheduled stream after an interruption
- Open the scheduled event. In YouTube Studio, go to Create → Go live, choose Manage, and select the scheduled stream.
- Check the event’s stream URL and key. The encoder must use the credentials associated with this event. If the key was reset, replace the old saved key in the encoder with the current one.
- Start or restart the encoder output. For the scheduled encoder workflow, wait for the feed preview in Live Control Room, then click Go live when the controls call for it.
- Verify the broadcast. Check the watch page and monitor the video and audio. If the event remains scheduled or the preview does not appear, troubleshoot the encoder connection before ending the event.
YouTube’s setup instructions describe the scheduled event and encoder workflow in Create a live stream with an encoder. The precise reconnect state can vary; the available help does not describe every interruption or auto-stop configuration.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Check Auto-start and Auto-stop before changing the order
In the scheduled stream’s settings, check whether Auto-start and Auto-stop are enabled. YouTube says that when these settings are on, a creator can start or stop streaming from the encoder. Stream settings may be reused, so do not assume the current event has the same toggles as a previous one. The public help does not fully explain reconnect behavior for every combination (YouTube stream settings).
If the encoder will not reconnect
- Confirm the event and credentials. Make sure the encoder is pointed at the scheduled event’s stream URL and is using its current key. YouTube’s encoder troubleshooting guidance says to retrieve the key from Live Control Room and enter it in the encoder.
- Replace a reset key. If you reset the stream key, update the encoder’s saved configuration. An old key will not connect as the current one.
- Check the connection protocol. YouTube documents RTMPS as a secure connection option. Use it only if your encoder supports it, and enter the RTMPS URL shown in Live Control Room (encoder troubleshooting and setup tips; RTMPS setup).
- Confirm the feed reaches YouTube. Wait for the preview and check audio and video before starting or resuming the event through the controls presented in Live Control Room.
Plan for 24/7 streams and their archives
Do not rely on YouTube to preserve a complete replay of a continuous 24/7 broadcast. YouTube Help says streams shorter than 12 hours may be automatically archived, while streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. This is platform guidance, not a guarantee for an individual stream (YouTube live-stream archive guidance).

If a replay matters, test the encoder’s local recording option, confirm the file continues to grow while streaming, and check that the recording drive has enough free space. YouTube’s tips also recommend setting up encoders at least 2 hours ahead and starting them at least 15 minutes before a scheduled event (YouTube live-streaming tips).
