Choose a cloud service that explicitly supports sending prerecorded videos to YouTube Live, then verify its playlist and looping tools, scheduling, maximum run time, file sources, output settings, channel controls, and plan limits. StreamNeo is a direct option for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube: it runs from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
Start with the workflow you need
A cloud streaming service sends a broadcast to YouTube from the provider’s infrastructure, rather than requiring your computer to run an encoder throughout the stream. The key question is what it can do with your existing video files and what happens when the broadcast reaches its scheduled end.
YouTube’s encoder workflow connects an encoder to a server URL and stream key; scheduled broadcasts are managed in Live Control Room. Cloud providers may offer a different flow. For example, OneStream Live documents selecting videos from a local device, its library, or cloud storage, choosing a channel, and setting a schedule and duration. OneStream’s documented workflow is a vendor description, not an independent test.
What to check before choosing
Prerecorded files, playlists, and loops
Confirm that the service accepts the files you plan to use, lets you combine them into a playlist, and can repeat that playlist if you need continuous playback. Check whether files must be uploaded to the provider, can be selected from cloud storage, or can be sent directly from your device. YouTube’s verified encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud tool for continuous prerecorded streams and says it includes a converter intended to optimize files for YouTube Live standards. These are directory claims supplied by the vendor, not independent assessments of image quality or uptime. YouTube’s encoder directory

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Schedule, duration, and what happens at the end
Check whether you can start immediately, schedule a later start, repeat a schedule, and set an end time. Find out whether the service stops, repeats, or requires you to create a new broadcast when the configured duration ends. OneStream’s Help Center says its 24/7 YouTube feature requires the Enterprise plan and is limited to 30 days. That is the vendor’s stated limit on a page updated September 3, 2026; confirm the current plan terms before subscribing. OneStream Live Help Center
Output quality and encoding
Compare supported resolution, frame rate, codecs, and any conversion with YouTube’s current ingestion recommendations. For H.264, YouTube lists 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 30 fps, and 6 Mbps minimum and 17 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 60 fps. These are YouTube’s published recommendations, not measured performance figures for a cloud provider. YouTube advises choosing a quality that your available upload capacity can sustain, testing representative audio and motion, and monitoring stream health. It recommends RTMPS, which encrypts data into and through Google’s servers. YouTube encoder settings

YouTube channel connection and broadcast controls
Understand how the service connects to your channel and which details you still set in YouTube: title, visibility, scheduled time, and stream configuration. YouTube’s encoder guidance explains that you enter the Live server URL and stream key in an encoder. Its API documentation describes binding scheduled broadcasts to a stream configuration. Monitoring and recovery
Look for visible stream health, upload or playback errors, reconnect behavior, alerts, and an event log you can inspect. The available provider descriptions do not establish comparative recovery performance or uptime guarantees, so a feature listing alone is not evidence that one service is more reliable than another.

Prepare the YouTube channel and test the broadcast
- Activate live streaming early. YouTube says first-time live streaming activation may take up to 24 hours. Verify the channel and enable Live well before the intended broadcast. YouTube Help: get started with live streaming
- Set up the broadcast. Use YouTube Live Control Room to create or schedule the event, choose its visibility, and configure the stream. For an encoder workflow, enter YouTube’s Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. Keep the key private and use the channel-specific setup shown in YouTube.
- Run a private or unlisted test. Test the complete file-to-stream path, including the playlist, audio, motion, output quality, and channel connection. A Google-hosted civic livestreaming guide recommends testing the full setup as a private stream and scheduling it as public or unlisted; treat it as a general checklist and confirm interface steps in current YouTube Help. Civic livestreaming guide (PDF)
- Check stream health before going public. YouTube recommends testing before starting and monitoring stream health. If the ingest is unstable, reduce output demands to a quality your connection or provider can sustain. YouTube encoder settings
- Plan around archiving. YouTube Help says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. If an archive matters, check YouTube’s current guidance and the event’s actual duration rather than assuming longer streams receive the same treatment. YouTube Help: encoder setup
Copyright, reused content, and channel risk
A stream being prerecorded does not make its contents exempt from YouTube’s rules. Use video and audio you own or have permission to broadcast, and review YouTube’s copyright policies and monetization rules for reused content before building a recurring channel around material made by others. A livestream or loop can still be subject to rights claims and platform enforcement; neither a cloud provider nor a successful test grants permission to use copyrighted material. Keep records of licenses and permissions, and check current YouTube policies for the specific content and monetization arrangement.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It supports any quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; the Monthly price is $9.99 per month.

Quick Recap
Troubleshooting checks
- You cannot start a first live stream: YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours. Enable Live and verify the channel in advance, then check Live Control Room before the planned start.
- YouTube is not receiving the broadcast: Recheck the server URL and stream key in the service or encoder, confirm that the key belongs to the intended channel and event, and review the provider’s connection status.
- The stream health warning appears: Follow YouTube’s guidance to use a quality your upload capacity can sustain. Test the actual file, audio, and motion, and lower the output demand if the ingest is not stable.
- The playlist stops earlier than expected: Check the configured duration, schedule end, and plan limit. For OneStream’s documented 24/7 workflow, the Help Center states a maximum of 30 days and an Enterprise requirement; confirm current terms with the provider.
- The broadcast is not archived as expected: YouTube Help’s automatic archive statement applies to streams shorter than 12 hours. Check current YouTube guidance for longer broadcasts and save a separate copy if you need a dependable archive.
