StreamShark’s Live Scheduler—also described as VOD2Live or simulated live—can play prepared video as a live broadcast and send it to YouTube. The workflow is: check that your account has access, prepare an active VoD asset in the quality profile that matches your schedule, create and populate a Live Schedule, wait for it to sync, then let it start at the scheduled time or use Go Live Now. StreamShark identifies YouTube as a supported destination, but its available instructions do not establish the current YouTube connection steps; confirm those in your account or a current destination-specific guide rather than assuming a particular authorization or event setup.
Before you start: check access and choose a schedule type
StreamShark says Live Scheduler is available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. If it is not visible in your account, ask your StreamShark representative or account manager about access or a trial. Do not assume it is included with every StreamShark subscription.
Choose the schedule mode that fits the broadcast:
- One-off: one broadcast at a specific date and time.
- Recurring: broadcasts on selected dates or across a date range, with configured start times.
- Continuous loop: repeat the selected content until you manually stop the broadcast. You can set a start time or start it manually.
You can also choose whether the schedule has a scheduled start or is started manually, select a quality mode, and optionally enable privacy protection. Use the schedule’s time zone carefully, particularly for recurring broadcasts or viewers in different regions.
Prepare the prerecorded video
Upload a new VoD or select an existing one
In the current V2 VoD workflow described by StreamShark, open Video on Demand and add the source video. Files under 5 GB can be uploaded from your computer. For a larger file, upload it to the file bucket first, then select it in the VoD workflow. Add the title, description, and tags, choose the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile, and submit the asset.

For an existing VoD, open its settings, select the Live Scheduler HD profile, and save. The asset must reach ACTIVE status before it can be used in a Live Schedule. StreamShark notes that content encoded with this scheduler profile is for Live Scheduler use and cannot be accessed directly as ordinary VoD.
Match the encoding profile to the schedule quality
The source video must be active and compatible with the schedule’s quality mode. StreamShark’s documented manual profile settings are:

The 4K profile is described in StreamShark’s legacy workflow; check the current portal options before relying on that exact profile configuration. If the selected VoD profile and schedule quality mode do not match, the video may not be eligible to add.
Upload, encoding, and synchronization take time. Prepare the video well before the planned broadcast, especially for larger files, and do not treat an upload being complete as proof that the asset is ready for scheduling.

Create a Live Schedule
- Open Live Scheduler and choose Add.
- Enter a title, description, and tags.
- Select the video player template and the quality mode that matches the prepared VoD. Select an ingest if applicable.
- Choose the schedule type. For a one-off broadcast, set the date, start time, and time zone. For a recurring schedule, select dates or a date range and configure its start times and time zone.
- For a continuous broadcast, enable Loop Content. If desired, set a scheduled start; otherwise, plan to start it manually.
- Optionally enable privacy protection, then save or create the schedule.
Multiple start times can be configured for the same day. Interface labels may change as StreamShark updates its portal; use the closest equivalent in the current account if a label differs.
Add videos and wait for synchronization
- Open the schedule and choose Add Videos.
- Select the prepared VoD. The guide allows a video to be added more than once; drag items to change their playback order.
- Choose Update Live Schedule after changing the schedule contents.
- Wait while the schedule shows Syncing Content. Start only once its state changes to Scheduled or Ready.
Do not assume a video that appears in the schedule has finished syncing. Allow time for the upload, transcode, and schedule sync to complete before the planned start.

Connect YouTube and start the broadcast
StreamShark product information names YouTube as a supported multistream destination, and its social-restreaming material also describes native YouTube streaming. That establishes YouTube as a supported destination, but not the current destination setup procedure. The available guidance does not specify the exact StreamShark menu path, YouTube authorization flow, or YouTube-side event and ingest requirements. Check the current StreamShark account or a destination-specific official guide for those steps. Keep the StreamShark Live Schedule distinct from any YouTube event or destination configuration.
Once the schedule is synced, a scheduled broadcast can begin at its configured time. To start it immediately, use Go Live Now. Use Stop Broadcast to end it. A schedule finishes after its videos play through unless Loop Content is enabled, in which case it continues until stopped manually.

Troubleshooting common scheduling problems
- Live Scheduler is missing: access is stated to require a subscription plan with a Dedicated Server attached. Ask your representative or account manager to confirm eligibility.
- A VoD cannot be added: confirm the asset is ACTIVE and its encoding profile matches the schedule’s quality mode. Re-encode or select the appropriate profile if necessary.
- The schedule remains in Syncing Content: allow more time for processing and sync. For future broadcasts, upload and prepare the source well in advance. If it does not progress, check the asset and schedule in the portal or contact StreamShark support.
- The schedule did not start when expected: verify its configured date, start time, and time zone, and confirm its state reached Scheduled or Ready. Use Go Live Now only when an immediate start is intended.
- YouTube is not receiving the stream: verify the destination connection and any YouTube-side configuration in current destination-specific instructions. The documented Live Scheduler steps alone do not establish those settings.
- The broadcast stops after the playlist ends: this is expected unless Loop Content is enabled. Enable the loop option for a continuous schedule, then stop it manually when it should end.
