How to Loop a Hindi Product Demo on YouTube Live with FFmpeg

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To loop a prepared Hindi product-demo video on YouTube Live, run FFmpeg with -stream_loop -1 before the input file, then send its output to the RTMPS stream URL and key from YouTube Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, start FFmpeg, check the preview, and click Go live in Live Control Room. This delivers a prerecorded video as a live encoder feed; it is not a live demonstration from a camera.

Before you start

You need a finished video file, an installed FFmpeg build with the required encoders, and a YouTube channel eligible to stream. YouTube’s setup guidance says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days; its page also states that users must be at least 16 to live stream. Check YouTube’s current live-streaming setup requirements before the event, since platform rules can change.

Use video, audio, music, voice, and product claims that you have the rights to stream. A Hindi soundtrack or narration does not alter the technical looping process, but language alone does not establish that you have permission to use the material. YouTube’s setup guidance also directs creators to comply with its policies and ensure they have rights to stream included audio and video.

Check the loop boundary

Watch the end of the file directly into its beginning. Repeating a file repeats any abrupt audio change, visual jump, title card, or spoken introduction at that boundary. Adjust the edit if needed; do not assume the loop is seamless without checking it.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Get the YouTube stream URL and key

  1. Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or open the scheduled live event.
  2. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that event. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses both to connect the encoder feed.
  3. Keep the key private. Treat it like a credential: do not publish it in a screenshot, public script, or log. Replace the placeholder values in your command locally, not in material you share.

YouTube recommends RTMPS. Use the RTMPS stream URL supplied in Live Control Room and confirm that your FFmpeg build and event configuration support the selected settings. The stream key is part of the destination information; do not paste a real key into an article, example, or public repository.

Loop the video and send it with FFmpeg

FFmpeg documents -stream_loop -1 as infinite input looping. It is an input option, so place it before the corresponding -i. The -re option reads an input at its native frame rate and can be useful when pacing output for live streaming; it does not fix malformed media or every mismatch between source and output settings.

ffmpeg -re -stream_loop -1 -i "hindi-demo.mp4"
  -c:v libx264 -preset veryfast -b:v 4500k -maxrate 4500k -bufsize 9000k
  -pix_fmt yuv420p -g 60 -c:a aac -b:a 128k -ar 44100
  -f flv "rtmps://INGEST_HOST/APP/STREAM_KEY"

This is an illustrative command template, not a tested or universally suitable YouTube configuration. Replace the destination with the RTMPS stream URL and key from Live Control Room. Replace the example video filename as well, and check that your installed FFmpeg build includes the selected video and audio encoders.

Match the encoding settings to the stream

  • Resolution and bitrate: Set these to fit the source and the resolution-specific guidance in YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions. The example’s 4500k video bitrate is illustrative, not a recommendation for every resolution.
  • Keyframes: YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says it should not exceed four seconds. In the example, -g 60 means 60 frames per GOP; that is two seconds only at 30 fps. Calculate the GOP size from your actual frame rate.
  • Rate control and format: YouTube recommends CBR. The example uses -b:v, -maxrate, and -bufsize as an illustrative H.264 configuration, but you must validate the output settings against the current Live Control Room guidance and your source.
  • Codec and frame rate: YouTube’s settings page lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 among supported codecs, and frame rates up to 60 fps. Support in the platform does not guarantee that a particular FFmpeg build or stream configuration supports every combination.
  • Audio and color: For RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube lists AAC or MP3 audio options. Its ordinary SDR guidance lists Rec. 709 and stereo audio. Consult the current settings page for details that apply to your resolution and format.

YouTube transcodes live streams for viewers, so the encoder output is not necessarily the exact format every viewer receives. The platform’s current resolution-specific settings are a better guide than treating any one bitrate as universal.

Stream copy versus re-encoding

The example re-encodes video with libx264 and audio with AAC so the output parameters can be specified in the command. A stream-copy approach avoids re-encoding, but whether it is suitable depends on the file’s codecs, container, frame rate, keyframes, and compatibility with the selected YouTube ingest settings. The available platform guidance does not establish a universal best mode for every source file; validate the actual output before relying on it.

Start the scheduled live event

  1. In Live Control Room, confirm that the event is configured for the stream URL and key you will use.
  2. Run the FFmpeg command. Watch its output for connection or encoding errors.
  3. Wait for the encoder feed to appear in Live Control Room preview. Check that the image moves and the audio is audible and in sync.
  4. When the preview is correct, click Go live in Live Control Room to start the scheduled event.
  5. When finished, end the event in Live Control Room and stop FFmpeg as appropriate.

YouTube’s setup guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume the same archive behavior for longer streams or treat the threshold as a guarantee of archive availability.

Test and monitor the stream

Test before the event, using a private or unlisted setup where appropriate. Use audio and movement similar to the real stream, inspect the preview, and monitor YouTube’s stream-health indicators as the feed runs. Check the actual live output rather than relying only on FFmpeg’s local status messages.

YouTube’s streaming tips recommend upload capacity with 20% headroom over the total stream bitrate. Account for the combined primary and backup bitrate if you are sending both. A connection that only matches the nominal bitrate leaves no room for network variation.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Likely cause What to check or do
No preview appears Wrong stream URL or key, an incorrect destination, or an encoder connection problem. Compare the destination with the current event’s Live Control Room details; verify that the key has no missing characters and is not from a different event. Keep the key private while checking it.
Preview appears, but the event is not live The scheduled encoder feed has arrived, but the event has not been started in Live Control Room. Inspect the preview, then select Go live in Live Control Room.
FFmpeg reports an encoder or codec error The installed build may not include the selected encoder, or the requested settings may not be supported by that build. Check the encoders available in your installation and select a supported configuration. Confirm that it also meets YouTube’s current stream settings.
Stream health is poor or the feed buffers Upload bandwidth may be insufficient or unstable for the total stream bitrate. Measure available upload capacity under the conditions of the event, reduce the configured bitrate if appropriate, and retain YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom over the total bitrate, including primary and backup streams where applicable.
The video plays too quickly, too slowly, or unevenly Input pacing, frame-rate assumptions, or source/output settings may not match. Use -re for native-frame-rate pacing of the file input, then check the source frame rate and output settings. It is not a universal fix for malformed or mismatched media.
The picture or sound jumps at the repeat point The file’s end does not transition cleanly into its beginning. Edit or re-export the source with an intentional boundary, then test the transition before streaming.
Audio is missing or distorted The source audio, selected audio encoder, or output audio settings may be unsuitable. Play the source file, confirm the FFmpeg build supports the selected audio encoder, and verify audible, clean audio in the YouTube preview before going live.

What looping does—and does not—establish

FFmpeg can repeatedly feed a prerecorded demo to YouTube as an encoder stream. This alone does not make the demonstration live in the ordinary sense of a person presenting or responding in real time. The reviewed YouTube setup and encoder guidance does not establish whether a particular repetitive prerecorded stream qualifies for monetization or how YouTube will distribute or recommend it. Do not plan around a promise of either outcome; check YouTube’s current policies for your channel and content.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you would rather not keep a computer and home connection running, StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for uploaded videos: upload the demo, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It loops the video from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Every slot streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo also automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card.
