Not confirmed for YouTube. StreamShark documents a Live Scheduler that can play uploaded video on a schedule or loop it 24/7, but its documentation does not establish that this scheduler sends the video to YouTube Live. It supports playback without your personal computer supplying the video; whether it can keep your YouTube channel live that way is a question to confirm with StreamShark.
What StreamShark’s documentation confirms
StreamShark’s Live Scheduler can schedule uploaded video-on-demand (VOD) content to play as live at defined times or continuously on a 24/7 loop. Its support guidance says the feature is available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. It describes HLS and DASH feeds for the schedule, but does not explicitly identify YouTube Live as an output destination.
That distinction matters: a StreamShark schedule playing without your computer is not, by itself, proof that YouTube receives that schedule. StreamShark’s OBS guide describes a separate live-input workflow in which OBS sends an event feed to StreamShark using StreamShark’s server URL and stream name. StreamShark also documents remote management of supported on-premises encoders and social simulcasting, but those materials do not establish that its VOD Live Scheduler outputs to YouTube.
What to ask StreamShark before relying on it
Contact a StreamShark representative or account manager and ask specifically about Live Scheduler access and YouTube Live output. Its scheduler article directs customers to those contacts about access or a trial.

- Does Live Scheduler send its VOD schedule directly to YouTube Live, or only provide HLS/DASH feeds?
- What plan and Dedicated Server configuration are required, and is the feature included in your subscription?
- How is the YouTube stream key configured, and what happens if YouTube disconnects the feed?
- Can you test the complete YouTube output—including preview, audio, stream health and recovery—before depending on unattended operation?
For the schedule itself, StreamShark says to upload and process files into a format Live Scheduler accepts, then add them to a schedule. It advises uploading large content in advance. Loop mode continues until the broadcast is manually stopped.
A YouTube event still needs an incoming feed
YouTube’s encoder workflow makes clear that scheduling an event does not supply its video. An encoder must send the YouTube server URL and stream key, and its feed must be started; then the event can be taken live in YouTube Live Control Room. YouTube recommends previewing the encoder feed, checking stream health, and monitoring audio and video. Live streaming also requires an eligible, verified channel with streaming enabled. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived.

So if you use an encoder-based setup, keep the encoder running and sending the feed for as long as you want the channel live. A scheduled event alone will not replace it.

- AJA HELO Plus with PlayToStream. YouTube’s official encoder guide lists this as a hardware option for scheduling prerecorded media and streaming directly to YouTube Live without a computer. It is a separate hardware path, not evidence of StreamShark compatibility. Confirm current PlayToStream availability and compatibility with the manufacturer or seller before buying.
These options are not interchangeable. Check whether the source is prerecorded or live camera/gameplay/desktop input, whether YouTube Live is an explicitly supported destination, what plan or hardware is required, and how scheduling, looping, monitoring and recovery work. A prerecorded VOD loop is not a substitute for an ongoing live camera, gameplay or changing desktop feed.

Common failure points to check
- StreamShark plays, but YouTube stays offline: a working schedule or feed URL does not establish YouTube output. Confirm the destination integration and required configuration with StreamShark.
- The YouTube event is scheduled but has no video: configure an encoder or supported delivery path with the YouTube server URL and stream key, then start the feed.
- The channel cannot start a live stream: confirm the channel is eligible and verified, and that live streaming is enabled.
- A VOD schedule does not loop as expected: verify the files have uploaded and processed, are accepted by Live Scheduler, and are included in the schedule. For loop mode, note that StreamShark says it continues until manually stopped.
- The stream is live but quality or sound is wrong: preview the encoder feed and monitor stream health, audio and video before relying on an unattended broadcast.
