A 24/7 schedule is not listed by YouTube as a standalone reason Super Chat is disabled. The cause is more likely to be channel eligibility, the stream’s settings, or an account restriction. Check the channel in YouTube Studio first, then inspect the specific livestream and any policy notices; the exact cause depends on your channel’s settings and status.
1. Check whether your channel is eligible for Supers
Super Chat and Super Stickers are fan-funding features with channel-level requirements. YouTube says creators must meet the minimum requirements for fan-funding features, be in a location where the features are available, and accept and comply with the applicable terms and policies, including the relevant Commerce Product Module. A 24/7 broadcast schedule is not identified as a disqualifier in YouTube’s published eligibility guidance. Check YouTube’s current Super Chat and Super Stickers eligibility guidance, then open YouTube Studio’s Earn section and look for the Supers tab or card.
- If Supers is not available for the channel, review the eligibility and terms shown in Studio rather than changing the stream’s duration.
- Location availability and eligibility policies can change, so use Studio and YouTube’s current Help information for your account and region.
2. Check the affected livestream’s settings
A channel may be eligible while Supers remain unavailable on one particular video. YouTube lists several stream-level conditions that disable Super Chat and Super Stickers:
- The livestream is age-restricted.
- Its visibility is unlisted or private.
- The video is marked as made for kids.
- It is a YouTube Giving fundraiser.
- Live chat or comments are turned off. YouTube explicitly says, “Super Chat and Super Stickers are also not available when live chat or comments are turned off.”
Inspect the livestream’s details and audience designation in YouTube Studio, and confirm that live chat is enabled. For an eligible live stream or Premiere with live chat on, YouTube says Super Chat and Super Stickers are automatically available. 3. Check audience, copyright, and policy restrictions
Made-for-kids designation
If the stream is set as made for kids, YouTube turns off live chat and Super Chat. Check the audience setting if viewers cannot see chat or send Supers. Do not change that setting just to enable monetization: use the designation that accurately describes the content. Read YouTube’s explanation of made-for-kids settings and features.
Copyright and Community Guidelines
A Community Guidelines strike, stream takedown, or copyright match or strike can lead to restrictions on live streaming. These account or content restrictions may affect the stream independently of its 24/7 schedule. Check YouTube Studio for notices and restrictions before treating the issue as a Super Chat setting problem. YouTube’s live-streaming tips also state that channels must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days to go live; that is a live-access requirement, not a complete list of Super Chat eligibility criteria.

4. Check whether the stream is using fundraiser tools
If Live Chat Donations are enabled for a stream, YouTube turns off Super Chat and Super Stickers to avoid confusion between the features. If you expected Supers, review the stream’s fundraising setup in Studio. YouTube’s Supers guidance describes the availability conditions.
5. Diagnose the symptom in this order
- Supers are missing across the channel: Open YouTube Studio and check Earn for the Supers tab or card, eligibility status, terms, and any account notices.
- Supers are missing only on one stream: Check its visibility, age restriction, made-for-kids designation, fundraiser status, and whether live chat or comments are enabled.
- Chat is missing or disabled too: Check the audience setting and account or live-stream restrictions; a made-for-kids setting disables live chat and Super Chat.
- The stream uses Live Chat Donations: Review the fundraiser configuration because that feature turns off Super Chat and Super Stickers on the stream.
- The settings appear correct: Read the notices in Studio and consult YouTube Help. The public eligibility rules cannot reveal the account-specific cause without your Studio settings and notices.
Does running a 24/7 stream change the answer?
Not according to the Super Chat eligibility guidance cited above: YouTube does not name a 24/7 schedule itself as a reason to disable Supers. A long-running stream can still have a disqualifying visibility, audience, chat, fundraiser, eligibility, or policy condition, so check those directly rather than assuming duration is responsible.
