You can run a 24/7 Telugu folk songs stream from a Windows PC with YouTube Live Control Room and an encoder such as OBS. Before you start, verify the channel, clear rights for every recording, test the actual upload connection, and plan for interruptions: YouTube does not promise an uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast or one automatic archive for a stream that long.
What you need before going live
- A verified YouTube channel with live streaming enabled and no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time enablement can take up to 24 hours, so do it well before your planned start. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup guidance.
- A Windows PC, an encoder such as OBS, and an internet connection whose measured upload capacity can sustain your chosen stream settings.
- A playlist of recordings and compositions you have permission to broadcast, including any required Content ID allowlisting.
- A visual for the stream, such as a still image or looping graphic, and an operating plan for monitoring the PC, connection, and stream health.
YouTube’s cited documentation does not establish a particular Windows version, minimum PC specification, or OBS release requirement. Check the current help for the encoder version you install; OBS’s official portal is OBS Help.
Clear the Telugu folk music before building the playlist
Do not assume a traditional melody makes a particular commercial recording free to use. A recording and the underlying composition can involve different rights. Confirm that your permissions cover the intended live broadcast and territories, and keep a record of each track, its rights holder, permitted territories, and any relevant licence or clearance.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may trigger a warning, placeholder image, temporary interruption, or termination; a copyright strike can also end a stream. Even if you have a licence, ask the rights owner or distributor to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube explains these risks in its live-stream copyright guidance. Enable YouTube live streaming and create the broadcast
- Enable live streaming early. Verify the channel and complete YouTube’s live-stream enablement steps. First-time enablement may take up to 24 hours. Check that the channel has no active live-stream restriction before scheduling.
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create a new stream or schedule it using YouTube’s encoder workflow, described in Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the connection details. Copy the server URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the stream key as a secret: anyone who has it may be able to send a broadcast to your stream.
- Confirm the preview. Start the encoder and wait for the Live Control Room preview and stream-health information. Do not assume the public broadcast is ready until the preview appears and the stream is healthy; then use YouTube’s controls to go live.
Set up OBS for a music-and-visual stream
OBS is a software-encoder option for a Windows PC. The exact interface can vary by installed release, so use OBS’s current help for its controls rather than relying on a version-specific menu path. Build a scene with the authorized audio source and a still or looping visual; confirm that the audio is actually reaching the encoder before your test.
Use YouTube’s recommended encoder basics
For RTMP or RTMPS ingestion, YouTube recommends H.264 video, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Its advanced guidance lists AAC or MP3 audio and, for stereo, 44.1 kHz at 128 kbps. Encoder labels can differ, but match these values where the controls are available. Choose resolution and bitrate from a real upload test
For a mostly static music visual, a modest resolution may be sufficient, but select it based on the result you want and what the connection can reliably sustain. YouTube provides bitrate guidance by resolution, frame rate, and codec; there is no single safe bitrate for every Windows PC or internet plan. Measure upload capacity under realistic conditions, leave headroom rather than setting the encoder at the connection’s maximum, and test the planned settings before the broadcast.
During the test, use audio and video activity similar to the show, check the preview, and watch stream-health messages. YouTube recommends testing in advance and monitoring stream health during the broadcast. A wired Ethernet connection is an optional way to reduce dependence on Wi-Fi, but it does not guarantee sufficient upload speed.

Test the complete show before leaving it running
- Load the full playlist and visual arrangement, then play enough material to confirm the audio source, levels, and scene behave as expected.
- Start the encoder with the intended resolution, frame rate, bitrate, codec, and keyframe interval.
- Check that YouTube receives the feed and displays a preview. Resolve any stream-health warnings before going public.
- Run a longer rehearsal than a quick connection check. Confirm that the playlist advances or loops as intended and that the PC remains responsive at the chosen settings.
- Decide who will respond if the PC restarts, internet service drops, a rights warning appears, or the stream stops. A PC-based encoder does not guarantee automatic recovery.
Plan for a 24-hour broadcast and its archive
A stream running beyond 12 hours needs an archive plan. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not count on one complete automatic archive for a single 24-hour broadcast. If preserving the full program matters, plan a suitable recording and archive workflow separately, and confirm how YouTube handles the stream in your Live Control Room.
Also decide how often someone will check the stream, whether the playlist can continue after a local restart, and how you will recover from a lost connection. YouTube’s published guidance does not promise 24/7 availability or automatic recovery for a PC encoder. Keep the rights records and contact details for relevant rights holders accessible in case of a claim.

Common problems and what to check
- Live streaming is not enabled: Complete channel verification and enablement, allow for the first-time wait of up to 24 hours, and check for live-stream restrictions.
- YouTube does not receive the encoder feed: Recheck the server URL and stream key copied from the correct Live Control Room stream. If you changed or replaced the key, update the encoder accordingly.
- The preview appears but stream health is poor: Test upload capacity again, lower the bitrate or resolution to a sustainable level, and retest. Use YouTube’s health messages rather than assuming a nominal internet-plan speed reflects available upload bandwidth.
- A music match interrupts the stream: Review the rights for that recording and composition, contact the label or distributor where applicable, and confirm that the channel is on the rights owner’s Content ID allowlist. A licence alone may not prevent an interruption.
- The 24-hour stream is not a single complete archive: YouTube’s automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours. Treat longer broadcasts as requiring a separate archive plan.
- The stream ends during a PC or network outage: Check the local encoder, PC, power, and internet connection, then follow the recovery steps in Live Control Room. Do not assume YouTube will restore a PC-originated stream automatically.
