If YouTube live streaming is stuck at phone-number verification, check three things in order: whether the code arrived and was accepted, whether the right channel owner or manager is signed in, and whether YouTube Studio now shows the feature as enabled. A verified channel may still need up to 24 hours before its first live stream is available. Mobile streaming has extra requirements that do not apply to streaming from a computer.
1. Check the channel and your permission to verify it
- Sign in to the Google account for the channel you intend to stream from.
- In YouTube Studio, open Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility. Check whether the relevant features are enabled or verification is still pending. YouTube’s current guidance describes this page and its feature tiers in Get access to intermediate and advanced features and Learn about feature access for YouTube Creators.
- Confirm that your account has the right role for that channel. For a Brand Account, an owner or manager can complete phone verification; for a channel that is not a Brand Account, only its owner can do so. Advanced identity verification has a separate rule: it must be completed by the primary channel owner. See YouTube’s feature eligibility guidance and phone verification instructions.
If the wrong channel is selected, switch to the intended channel before requesting another code. Phone verification, advanced verification and live-stream eligibility are related but distinct checks; completing one does not automatically satisfy every other requirement.
2. Troubleshoot a missing or rejected verification code
YouTube sends a verification code by text message or automated voice call. If the text does not arrive, try the voice-call option. If neither delivery method works, YouTube advises trying a number from a different carrier. Messages can be delayed, so avoid repeatedly requesting codes before checking whether an earlier one arrives. See Verify your YouTube account.
- You never receive the text: choose voice call if offered, then consider a number on a different carrier.
- The code arrives late: wait for it before requesting another; a delayed message can make it unclear which code is current.
- YouTube says the number has reached its limit: a phone number can be associated with no more than two channels per year. Use another eligible number rather than repeatedly submitting the same one.
- The code is accepted but the feature remains unavailable: return to Feature eligibility and check the channel status and any separate restriction instead of assuming the phone code itself is still the problem.
3. Allow time for first-time activation
After you turn on live streaming, YouTube says the first live stream may take up to 24 hours to become available. This is an activation wait, not a guaranteed deadline for a code-delivery issue, an ineligible number, an account-role problem or a channel restriction. Check the status in Studio while you wait; if the channel still shows a verification or eligibility problem, address that specific message.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
4. Check whether a channel restriction or feature tier is blocking you
For computer streaming, YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days. Phone verification grants intermediate features; advanced access and live-streaming daily limits are separate. Review the channel’s Feature eligibility screen and YouTube’s current live-streaming setup guidance and feature-access overview.
If YouTube shows a restriction or a daily limit, receiving another code will not clear it. Follow the account-specific status shown in Studio; do not treat phone verification as a workaround for a channel restriction.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
5. Make sure you are applying the right requirements to your streaming method
Streaming from a computer
The 50-subscriber minimum is not a general requirement for computer streaming. For a computer stream, check channel verification, the 90-day restriction condition and the feature status in Studio.
Streaming from a phone
Mobile live streaming has additional requirements: at least 50 subscribers, a verified channel, no live-streaming restriction within the previous 90 days, activation, and a supported phone operating system. YouTube says the first mobile live stream may take up to 24 hours to become available after activation. See the current mobile live-streaming instructions for Android. These mobile requirements should not be confused with computer-stream eligibility.

Common symptoms and fixes
| What you see | What to check or do |
|---|---|
| No text code | Try voice-call delivery; if Google messages still do not arrive, try a number from a different carrier. |
| Message says the phone number cannot be used | Check whether the number has already been associated with two channels during the current year; use a different eligible number if it has. |
| Code accepted, but live streaming is not available yet | Check Feature eligibility and allow up to 24 hours for first-stream activation. The wait does not resolve separate restrictions or account problems. |
| Verification option or feature remains unavailable | Confirm the selected channel and your role: Brand Account owners or managers may phone-verify; a non-Brand channel requires its owner. Advanced identity verification requires the primary channel owner. |
| Computer streaming works differently from phone streaming | Check the correct mode. Mobile streaming requires at least 50 subscribers and a supported operating system; those are not general computer-stream requirements. |
