For identical content, YouTube’s Live Streaming API supports sending one incoming stream to multiple broadcasts. For different content, configure a separate stream and output for each broadcast, then verify that the PC’s encoders and internet upload can sustain both.
Choose one shared feed or two independent feeds
First decide what viewers should see on each broadcast page. A shared incoming feed carries the same video and audio to both broadcasts. Separate feeds let each broadcast carry its own loop and settings.

YouTube’s API guide documents binding one live stream to multiple broadcasts, including an example involving a 24/7 feed and another broadcast showing part of that feed. The guide also describes using separate streams when simultaneous broadcasts need distinct settings. These are API-level architectures; the cited guidance does not establish a universal YouTube Studio button or workflow for every account. YouTube Live Streaming API documentation.
Set up two broadcasts with one identical loop
- Create the two YouTube broadcast resources and one incoming stream resource using YouTube’s Live Streaming API workflow.
- Bind both broadcasts to that same incoming stream. Confirm that the broadcast settings are appropriate for the shared video and audio.
- Configure the encoder on the PC with the stream’s ingest details, then start one output. Both broadcasts receive the same incoming content.
- Test both broadcast pages before relying on the setup. Verify that each receives video and audio and that YouTube reports healthy ingestion.
A single shared stream cannot deliver two different loop videos at once. If the broadcasts need different video, audio, or stream settings, use separate stream resources and outputs instead.

Set up two different loops
- Create a broadcast and a distinct incoming stream resource for each loop. Keep each broadcast paired with the stream intended for it.
- In the PC’s streaming software, add or play both loop sources and configure a separate output for each YouTube stream. Assign the correct video, audio, resolution, frame rate, and stream key or ingest details to each output.
- Set both outputs to 2160p at 60 fps and use YouTube’s recommended codec-specific bitrate and rate-control settings in the next section.
- Start a test of both outputs together. Check that both videos play as intended, the audio is correct, and neither output drops frames or triggers YouTube health warnings.
Two independent outputs increase the work the PC must do: it has to source both loops, keep both outputs active, and encode them as configured. Whether a particular PC can do that depends on its hardware, codec, source material, and other workload; there is no universal CPU, GPU, or memory minimum for this setup.
Use YouTube’s 4K60 encoder settings
YouTube Help’s live encoder guidance, checked in 2026, gives these settings for 2160p at 60 fps. The recommended bitrate is a target; the listed minimum is not a recommended quality setting. YouTube advises choosing a quality your connection can reliably sustain, testing with representative motion and audio, and monitoring stream health. For two independent streams at YouTube’s recommended video bitrates, the arithmetic total is about 70 Mbps for AV1 or H.265, or 100 Mbps for H.264, before adding practical network headroom. Those totals are calculated from YouTube’s per-stream recommendations, not separately published YouTube requirements. Measure sustained upload capacity under realistic conditions; a speed-test peak alone does not confirm that the connection can keep both streams stable. If it cannot sustain the chosen total plus headroom, lower the target or use a different connection or streaming arrangement.
A shared feed has one outgoing encoded stream, so the recommended video bitrate is for that one stream rather than doubled. YouTube transcodes incoming live video into different formats for viewers, but the PC still needs to deliver a stable ingest at the selected resolution and frame rate. YouTube says low-latency optimization is unavailable at 4K/2160p; the stream uses normal latency. YouTube Help: Live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.

Check whether the PC can encode both outputs
For one shared feed, the PC encodes one stream. For two distinct loops, it must sustain both outputs. Hardware encoding can be a practical starting point when available, but its presence alone does not guarantee that the particular PC can handle two 4K60 sessions. Test the actual codec, sources, and settings together and watch for encoder overload, dropped frames, and unstable output.
- Check the exact GPU model and its supported codecs and simultaneous encoding capabilities. Do not assume all GPUs have the same encoder count or capacity.
- NVIDIA’s January 30, 2025 encoding guide says some then-current GPU models provide dual or triple encoders for simultaneous encoding workloads. This is model-specific guidance, not a guarantee for every GPU or a requirement that each stream have its own physical encoder block. NVIDIA streaming and encoding guide.
- OBS provides an Auto-Configuration Wizard for basic settings and separate guidance for stream encoding. OBS says its stream connection goes directly from the computer to the streaming service. OBS Studio: Streaming with OBS.
Choose the codec that your encoder and YouTube workflow support, then verify performance rather than inferring it from a hardware label. NVIDIA’s recommendations for AV1 or HEVC apply to supported NVIDIA hardware and should not be treated as universal advice for every PC. NVIDIA streaming and encoding guide.

Test before scheduling the loops
- Use a private, unlisted, or other test broadcast appropriate to your workflow; test both broadcasts at once if they will run simultaneously.
- Use representative video motion and audio. Static slides or a silent test do not expose the same encoding and audio issues as the actual loops.
- Check the outgoing bitrate and frame rate for each output, confirm that audio is present, and review YouTube’s stream health indicators.
- Run the test long enough to observe whether the PC and upload connection remain stable under the intended load.
YouTube recommends testing before going live and monitoring stream health. Its health guidance includes issues such as low bitrate, frame-rate mismatch, missing audio, and video ingestion starvation.
