Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchTo stream a Minecraft survival-world archive on repeat, add the video to OBS Studio as a Media Source, enable Loop, then send OBS to a YouTube Live broadcast. For multiple recordings, use OBS’s VLC Video source with a playlist and Loop Playlist enabled. The loop repeats the file; it does not keep your internet connection or broadcast alive if either fails.
Before you set up the loop
- Check that you can use every part of the recording, especially its music, sound effects, and other third-party audio. Permission to share Minecraft gameplay does not automatically grant rights to the soundtrack.
- Review the video and audio from beginning to end. A section that goes quiet, includes personal information, or uses music you cannot clear will repeat along with the rest of the archive.
- Make sure your channel can go live and decide whether the broadcast should be public, unlisted, or private. Check the channel’s current Live dashboard for access and broadcast controls.
Mojang’s Minecraft Usage Guidelines allow creators to make and share gameplay videos and streams, including ad-supported videos when the guidelines are followed. They also require videos to be free to view and sufficiently distinctive; commentary is one example of creator contribution, while a logo or overlay alone is not enough. Do not assume that replaying an unchanged archive automatically meets these requirements or guarantees monetization.
Loop one archive file in OBS
- Create or schedule the YouTube broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go live and set up the broadcast. If you schedule it, use the resulting event when you are ready to go live.
- Add the recording in OBS. In the Sources box, select + → Media Source. Create a source, choose the local video file, and confirm. OBS documents common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, and WebM; a format being listed does not guarantee every file will play correctly, so test yours before broadcasting.
- Enable the loop. Open the Media Source properties and check Loop. OBS documents this control as off by default. Without it, the file stops at the end instead of starting again.
- Check playback and sound. Start playback in OBS, confirm the picture fits the canvas, and check the Audio Mixer for activity. Listen for clipping, silence, or unexpected audio before taking the stream public.
- Connect OBS to YouTube. In YouTube Studio’s live control room, copy the stream key for the broadcast or reusable stream configuration you intend to use. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, select YouTube as the service, and enter the key using the available connection method. Treat the key as a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Test, then start the event. Start streaming from OBS and check the YouTube Live control room for an incoming preview and warnings. When the feed looks right, start the broadcast in YouTube Studio if the event requires that separate action. Confirm the live player is showing the looping archive.
Loop a playlist of recordings
For a rotation of several archive files, add a VLC Video source instead of creating a separate Media Source for every clip. OBS’s VLC source supports playlists and has Loop Playlist enabled by default, according to the OBS Media Sources documentation.
- Install VLC if it is not already installed. OBS requires VLC for this source; if you use 64-bit OBS, install 64-bit VLC.
- In OBS, select Sources → + → VLC Video, create the source, and add the files in the order you want them to play.
- Check Loop Playlist in the source properties if it is not already enabled. Confirm that the final file returns to the first file during a test.
- Check each clip’s audio and transitions. A playlist does not make differing volume levels, aspect ratios, or rights issues consistent.
Use recurring broadcasts without confusing the settings
A stream configuration and a broadcast event are separate YouTube concepts. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation describes reusing one stream resource for recurring broadcasts, with only one event live at a time in that scenario. For ordinary OBS use, set up the broadcast in YouTube Studio and use its stream settings; you do not need to build an API integration or manually construct HLS playlists.

Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Decide separately whether the event should be saved afterward. Archiving is a broadcast setting, not a consequence of enabling Loop in OBS. If you want a replay, enable the archive option for the broadcast and check the processed video afterward. YouTube may make Content ID claims on an archived stream after it ends.
Keep copyright and channel rules in view
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can lead to a warning, a placeholder replacing the stream, interruption, or termination. If you have a licence for third-party material, YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist to avoid live interruptions. An archived stream can still receive a claim after the broadcast.

- Clear music and other third-party audio for both live use and any replay you plan to keep.
- Do not treat permission to show Minecraft gameplay as permission to use a commercial soundtrack.
- Check Minecraft’s full creator guidelines for requirements beyond copyright, including free access, original contribution, and restrictions on using gameplay streams to promote unrelated products or services.
- Do not promise yourself or viewers that a loop will be monetized. YouTube’s and Minecraft’s rules, the channel’s eligibility, and the actual content all matter.
Troubleshoot common loop problems
| What you see | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The video stops at the end | Loop is off on the Media Source, or Loop Playlist is off on the VLC source. | Open the source properties and enable the appropriate loop control. Test through the end of the file or playlist. |
| The VLC source is missing or will not load | VLC is not installed, or its version does not match OBS architecture. | Install VLC; use 64-bit VLC with 64-bit OBS, then reopen OBS and check the source again. |
| OBS plays the video but YouTube shows no incoming stream | The stream key, selected service, or network connection may be wrong. | Check Settings → Stream, re-copy the key from the intended YouTube broadcast, and inspect YouTube Studio’s live control room for its incoming-stream status. |
| YouTube receives the feed but the event is not live | The encoder feed and the broadcast event may require separate start actions. | Check the live control room and start the scheduled or configured broadcast there when prompted. |
| The stream is interrupted after starting | A network or encoder interruption, or a third-party-content match, can stop or disrupt the broadcast. | Check OBS and YouTube Studio for connection or copyright warnings. Resolve the underlying issue; a local media loop does not restart a failed connection or override YouTube’s content checks. |
| The replay is missing or has a claim | Archiving may not have been enabled, processing may not be complete, or a post-stream Content ID match may have been made. | Check the event’s archive setting and the processed video in YouTube Studio after the broadcast. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If you want the archive to keep looping without leaving a computer on, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos as a continuous YouTube stream from the cloud. Upload the archive or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The stream continues with your computer off; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. It plays your uploaded files rather than broadcasting a camera, and it streams to YouTube only.
Every slot streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality-based tiers. The first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. Review your audio rights and YouTube archive settings whichever method you use.
