You can run a 24/7 YouTube story channel by sending a prerecorded episode playlist to YouTube Live through an encoder—or by uploading the videos to StreamNeo, adding your YouTube stream key, and starting the cloud stream. For a do-it-yourself setup, create the stream in YouTube Studio, enter its stream URL and key in your encoder, load your Marathi episodes, and monitor the preview. Plan sessions shorter than 12 hours if you need YouTube’s automatic archives; rights clearance and a recovery plan are essential.
Before you start: confirm your channel is eligible
YouTube’s stated prerequisites are a verified channel and no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days. Check these before preparing a schedule or encoder setup. YouTube’s live streaming guidance lists these requirements in its live streaming tips.
Set up a prerecorded Marathi stream yourself
- Prepare the episodes. Arrange the finished story episodes in the order you want viewers to hear them. Check that the files play correctly and that the picture and audio are suitable for continuous playback.
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live. Create a stream now, or use the Manage tab to schedule it. A scheduled stream can have a watch page ahead of time, where viewers can set reminders. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Choose an encoder. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders; its guidance says expensive equipment is not required to get started. Use a software encoder if it meets your production needs, or hardware if your setup calls for dedicated equipment. The official guidance does not quantify cost or reliability differences between them. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
- Connect the encoder. Copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room into the encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it can send a feed to your stream. Start the encoder and confirm that the feed appears in Live Control Room.
- Load the playlist and preview. Set the encoder to play your prerecorded episodes in sequence or loop them as intended. Check the preview picture and audio in Live Control Room before going live. YouTube recommends preparing ahead, checking the preview, verifying archive files and accessibility, and monitoring the stream. See its live stream settings guidance and live streaming tips.
- Go live and monitor playback. Once the feed and watch page are ready, start the live stream. Check that episodes advance as expected and that audio and video remain available.
Plan session lengths and replay access
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A single 24/7 session therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed complete replay. For a continuous channel, plan how you will end and restart sessions, and publish individual episodes or compilations separately when viewers need reliable replay access. There is no quantified cost, reliability, or reach comparison established for one continuous feed versus planned sessions. The practical distinction here is archive handling: use sessions under 12 hours when you want to rely on YouTube’s stated automatic archiving behavior, and keep separate episode uploads for straightforward replay and navigation.

Protect the stream and prepare for interruptions
- Keep the stream key private. It authorizes an encoder to send video to your stream. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Have a recovery plan. Decide how you will restore playback if the encoder or internet connection fails. YouTube’s live tips recommend testing failover when using a backup encoder and monitoring audio and video during a stream. A backup setup is an option, not a stated requirement.
- Check playback after setup changes. Preview again after changing the episode playlist or stream settings, and verify that any resulting archive is accessible.
Clear rights for stories, performances, images, and music
YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the provider to have the rights needed to use the live content, including music licensing rights, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Before streaming or archiving an episode, clear the story, performance, images, and music for the intended territory and for both the live broadcast and any replay. Understand monetization and originality rules
Monetization is conditional, not automatic. Eligible channels may earn through live ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and memberships, but ads are not guaranteed to serve to every viewer or at every opportunity. See YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.

YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams as well as the channel overall. A recurring story format can work, but episodes should have distinct substance rather than being repetitive or mass-produced, and the channel should make the creator’s role in producing the work clear.
