The stream’s viewing time—not Super Chat revenue—is what may contribute. YouTube excludes livestreams that are unlisted, deleted, or not converted to VOD from the watch-hour threshold. A public stream retained as a VOD may contribute eligible viewing hours; do not assume every livestream hour automatically qualifies. How Super Chat payments relate to other YouTube earnings
YouTube Help’s current guidance, checked in 2026, describes a 70% share of net revenues from channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Super Thanks for partners who accept the Commerce Product Module. It separately describes a 55% share of net revenues from Watch Page ads under the Watch Page Monetization Module. These are module revenue-share terms, not a prediction of what a creator will earn from a particular stream or payment; YouTube does not guarantee a specific payout.
