Be.Live Stream Keeps Disconnecting on YouTube: How to Diagnose and Fix It

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If your Be.Live broadcast keeps disconnecting from YouTube, first check whether YouTube can start a stream without Be.Live. If it cannot, investigate YouTube account access or restrictions. If it can, use YouTube Live Control Room’s timestamped errors to narrow the problem to authorization, encoder output, or your outbound internet connection. Change one thing at a time, then verify it with a private or unlisted test.

1. Check whether YouTube allows your channel to go live

Try starting a YouTube stream without Be.Live, as Be.Live recommends. If YouTube itself displays an error or will not let you start, the problem may be channel eligibility or a restriction applied by Google—not a Be.Live connection failure. Follow the specific message YouTube shows and resolve any account or access issue before troubleshooting the integration. See Be.Live’s guidance for issues going live on YouTube.

If YouTube starts a stream independently but Be.Live does not connect or loses its destination, move on to the integration checks below.

2. Check Be.Live’s YouTube authorization

When the YouTube channel or broadcast details are missing in Be.Live, or the connection appears interrupted, check whether Be.Live still has permission to access your Google account. Reauthorization is a targeted remedy for integration or permission symptoms; it is not a universal fix for a stream that drops mid-broadcast while the connection is otherwise working.

  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  1. Check that your browser allows cookies and pop-ups for the sign-in flow. If the problem began after adding a browser extension, temporarily disable suspicious or newly installed extensions. Clearing the browser cache is another step Be.Live recommends.
  2. If the integration still appears interrupted, remove Be.Live from the connected-app permissions in your Google Account.
  3. Sign in to Be.Live again and grant the requested Google access when prompted. Recheck the YouTube destination and attempt a test broadcast.

Use the current prompts in your Google Account and Be.Live interface; labels can change. Be.Live describes these steps in its YouTube troubleshooting guide.

3. Read YouTube’s stream health errors before changing settings

Open YouTube Live Control Room or the Live Dashboard and look at the health indicator and any associated error messages. YouTube displays errors with timestamps, which can help you match a problem to an encoder or network event. Red indicates a critical error; yellow indicates a moderate one. Follow the message shown rather than changing settings at random. YouTube explains the indicators and messages in Live streaming error messages.

If the message identifies a format problem

For the format error addressed in YouTube’s guidance, check that the encoder is configured to send H.264 video and AAC audio. Do not treat those settings as the answer to every disconnect: use them when the displayed error points to a format issue. YouTube’s error-message guidance describes this configuration.

4. Decide whether the encoder or the connection is failing

YouTube recommends checking the stream in the encoder itself, updating to the latest encoder version, reviewing Live Control Room errors, and checking CPU load. If possible, review a local recording too: poor or interrupted source output there points toward a capture, source, or encoding problem rather than a YouTube destination permission issue.

  • Encoder preview or local recording is poor, or CPU load is high: update the encoder, inspect the source and its output, and check whether the computer is under heavy load. Compare the timing with YouTube’s dashboard errors.
  • Encoder output looks and sounds healthy, but the stream still drops: test the outbound internet connection. If it appears faulty, YouTube advises contacting your internet provider.
  • You sign in to YouTube directly through third-party streaming software rather than using a stream key: YouTube says to contact that software’s support.

Use YouTube’s full live-stream troubleshooting guidance alongside the errors and output you observe.

5. Assess network stability without guessing at a speed requirement

Possible signs of an unstable connection include pixelated or blurry video, frozen images, changing quality, robotic-sounding voice, and audio cutouts. Be.Live says it has no specific internet-speed requirement for going live, so there is no supported universal Mbps threshold to use as a pass-or-fail test.

Be.Live recommends a stable connection and suggests Ethernet or another hard-wired connection where practical to help avoid lag and delays. A cable is one troubleshooting option, not a guarantee: if symptoms continue, check the outbound connection and compare their timing with the encoder and YouTube error logs. See Be.Live’s pages on evaluating network quality and going live on YouTube.

6. Verify the fix with a private or unlisted test

Before relying on a change for a public broadcast, run a test stream and observe whether the disconnect recurs. Be.Live says you can set a YouTube broadcast to private or unlisted in the destination settings so it is not visible to subscribers. Check Live Control Room’s health and timestamps during the test, and note which single change—if any—stops the failure. Be.Live’s test guide covers testing the studio.

Or let it run in the cloud

The checks above are for diagnosing a Be.Live broadcast. If your goal is instead to keep uploaded, pre-recorded videos looping as a YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option—not a fix for a Be.Live camera broadcast. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It supports the quality you upload up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required.
