Yes. Minecraft Dungeons II supports online cross-play across Windows, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Up to four players can play together online, locally in couch co-op, or in a session that combines local and online players.
Which platforms can play together?
Mojang’s official FAQ lists these supported platforms for Minecraft Dungeons II:
- Windows
- Steam
- Xbox Series X|S
- PlayStation 5
- Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch 2
The FAQ confirms online play through cross-play. That means, for example, a player on Xbox Series X|S can play online with friends on Switch, PS5, Steam, or Windows. The official list does not include Xbox One or PlayStation 4, so neither appears on the currently listed supported-platform roster.
What multiplayer modes are available?
Online cross-play
Players can team up online across the listed platforms, with a party of up to four. The launch announcement describes online play for up to four players, and the FAQ identifies it as cross-play.

Couch co-op
Players can share a device for local couch co-op. This is different from cross-play: couch co-op is local play, while cross-play connects players online across platforms.
Mixed local and online co-op
A local couch group can play in the same session as friends joining online. In an official Xbox Wire podcast, developer Laura de Llorens said the session adapts as players join or leave. The game supports up to four players in total.

Does console online co-op require a subscription?
Yes, console online multiplayer requires the relevant platform’s online subscription, sold separately. Xbox’s store listing specifies Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate for console online multiplayer; Minecraft’s announcement describes the requirement as platform-specific. This should not be read as applying identically to PC play.

Is cross-progression or cross-save confirmed?
The official sources cited here confirm cross-play, but do not establish cross-progression or cross-save. Playing with someone on another platform does not, by itself, mean that your save carries between platforms.
