You can run a 24/7 YouTube Bollywood instrumental radio stream by sending a continuous audio-and-video feed from an encoder such as OBS, or by using a cloud service that loops uploaded videos. Before you stream, clear the rights to every recording, composition and visual asset for the live broadcast—and for any replay you keep. Instrumental music is not automatically copyright-free, and YouTube may interrupt a live stream when it detects third-party content.
Clear the music and visuals before setting up the stream
“Instrumental” describes the arrangement, not the rights. Removing vocals does not clear the sound recording or the underlying composition. A purchase receipt, attribution, “royalty-free” label or permission to upload a track in an ordinary video does not by itself establish permission to broadcast it continuously live.
YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions require the person providing live content to have the necessary rights for use on Google services worldwide, including applicable rights from artists, labels, publishers and other royalty participants. The rights you need can vary by catalog and territory; obtain qualified advice for the places where you plan to stream if needed.
Build a track-and-asset rights inventory
For each song, recording and visual, record its source, relevant recording and composition owners, permitted territories, live-stream permission, license term, monetization permission and whether the rights holder must allowlist your channel in Content ID. Keep the agreements and related correspondence. Confirm that permission expressly covers a continuous YouTube live broadcast, not merely an upload or short-form video.

Do not rely on Creator Music for a live radio stream
YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ says the program does not support licensing for live content. Its eligible track and video-license arrangements should not be treated as clearance for a continuous live radio stream.

How to livestream pre-recorded videos on YouTube 24/7
YouTube separates the scheduled live event from the incoming media feed: the event is the broadcast, and the encoder sends the audio and video that make up the stream. You can run that encoder on a local computer or use a hosted service. YouTube’s Live Streaming API overview explains the broadcast-and-stream model; YouTube for Artists describes encoders as an option for more customization and control than a simple mobile or webcam stream.
1. Prepare and test the playlist
- Assemble only recordings and visuals for which you have the necessary live-stream rights.
- Check that the sequence loops as intended, the audio remains present, and the video plays reliably throughout the playlist.
- Keep a way to pause the playlist or replace an individual track promptly if you receive a copyright warning.
2. Enable live streaming and schedule the event
Use YouTube Studio’s current live workflow to enable live streaming and create or schedule the event. Check that the channel is eligible and that live streaming is enabled before building a long-running setup; follow the labels and instructions displayed in Studio, which can change over time. The API overview is useful for understanding that the event and the media feed are separate pieces.

3. Connect an encoder and send the feed
For a local setup, use an encoder such as OBS to play the video loop and send its audio and video to the YouTube event. OBS documents encoder options and hardware-encoding considerations in its help resources. The right encoding settings depend on the source, computer and connection; use the current values and status information YouTube provides for the event rather than assuming one bitrate or resolution suits every setup. Confirm that YouTube receives both picture and sound before leaving the stream unattended.
Treat the stream key like a password: enter it only in the encoder or service you intend to use, do not publish it, and replace it through YouTube if it is exposed. You will need the key to connect an encoder or hosted streaming service to your YouTube live event.

4. Monitor the live control room
Check the connection state and watch for copyright warnings when the stream starts and while it runs. YouTube says it scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including another live broadcast. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder; if the content remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube also advises creators who have licensed third-party content to ask the owner to add their channel to the Content ID allowlist. A license does not guarantee that automated live matching will leave the broadcast uninterrupted. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
5. Decide what happens to the replay
If YouTube archives the stream, the resulting video may receive a Content ID claim after the live event. Check that your permission covers the replay as well as the live broadcast before enabling or retaining an archive. Live and replay uses are distinct questions for your rights inventory.

Choose between a local encoder and a cloud stream
A local setup gives you direct control over the encoder and media workflow, but the computer, power and upload connection need to remain available. With a cloud service, your own computer does not need to stay on for the stream to continue, but you depend on the service’s workflow and still need a connection for setup and management. Neither method clears music rights.
| Consideration | Local encoder computer | Hosted cloud stream |
|---|---|---|
| Control | Direct control over the encoder and local media workflow. | Depends on the vendor’s interface and supported workflow. |
| Continuous operation | The computer, encoder, power and upload connection need to stay available. | Your computer can be off during the stream; setup and management still depend on your connection and the provider. |
| Cost | Hardware and electricity costs depend on what you already own; no current cost comparison is established here. | Check current plan pricing and terms; pricing varies by service. |
| Monitoring and recovery | You need to plan how you will monitor the encoder and restore the stream if it stops. | Check the provider’s current alerts, restart behavior, support, content retention and stream-key handling. |
| Music rights | You are responsible for clearing the music and visuals. | You are still responsible for clearing the music and visuals. |
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It is the first cloud option to consider here because the stream can keep running with your computer off, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. It plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast from a camera. StreamNeo does not clear music or visual rights, so you still need permission for every track and asset.
- Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team.
- The same features apply on every plan; only the billing period changes. There is a free first day with no card, once per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month.
- Billing options are daily, weekly, monthly, six months or yearly, with cancellation available at any time. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.
Try the first day free, then upload your video, add your YouTube stream key and go live: start with StreamNeo.
Plan for copyright interruptions and monetization review
A live stream can be interrupted even when you have a license
Automated matching can flag licensed music if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel. If a warning appears, use your prepared pause-or-replace process and contact the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. Review the live control room rather than assuming a stream that began successfully will run without intervention.
Rights clearance and monetization eligibility are different
Permission to use a track does not guarantee YouTube Partner Program eligibility or ad revenue. YouTube says its monetization policies apply to live streams; its channel monetization policies include guidance on inauthentic, repetitive or mass-produced content and assess reused content separately from copyright. Original curation, track information, artwork or animation, editorial framing and meaningful variety can give a channel more distinct value, but none guarantees monetization approval.
Quick Recap
Troubleshoot common 24/7 stream problems
- YouTube shows no incoming signal: Check that the correct event and stream key are selected, the encoder is running, and the playlist is producing both audio and video. Review the event’s connection status before relying on the stream.
- The picture is present but the audio is missing: Check the encoder’s audio source and confirm that the playlist itself has audible audio. Test the feed before leaving it unattended.
- YouTube displays a copyright warning or placeholder: Pause or replace the affected material, check the track’s live and territory permissions, and ask the rights holder whether your channel can be allowlisted in Content ID. A warning can still occur when you hold a license.
- The stream stops or is terminated: Check YouTube’s live control room for a copyright notice or connection issue. Restart the feed after addressing the cause; for a local encoder, also check that the computer, power and upload connection are available. A cloud service may offer recovery features, but confirm its current behavior and support terms.
- The replay receives a claim after the event: Recheck whether your permission covers archive/VOD use, not only the live broadcast, and follow YouTube’s claim process if you believe the claim is mistaken.
- The channel is not approved for monetization: Review the channel’s overall content against YouTube’s current inauthentic- and reused-content rules. Copyright clearance alone does not settle that review.
Keep these checks in place before going live
- Written permission covers the specific recording, composition and visual assets, your intended territories and continuous live use.
- Permission separately addresses monetization and any replay you intend to keep.
- You have a process for copyright warnings and a way to pause or replace a track.
- The playlist, audio and video have been checked, and the encoder or cloud workflow reaches the correct YouTube event.
- Your stream key is stored securely, and you know how to replace it if exposed.
- You are treating monetization as uncertain rather than assuming that a 24/7 format or music license ensures eligibility.
