You can stream a Marathi radio playlist to YouTube Live using a computer and streaming encoder, but only after securing rights for every recording and composition for the intended live broadcast and territories. A publicly available radio stream or purchased track is not, by itself, permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube may also interrupt a licensed stream if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID.
Clear the music rights before setting up the stream
Check each recording and the underlying composition in your playlist. Identify the relevant rights holders, the countries where viewers may access the broadcast, and whether you plan to keep an archived replay. Obtain permission that expressly covers live transmission in those territories; ask whether it also covers the archive. YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions put responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers and other royalty participants.
- A song being publicly available on a radio station, or a copy being purchased, does not establish permission to rebroadcast it live.
- Do not assume a label such as “free” or an artist credit in a description grants the necessary rights. YouTube notes that rights rules can vary by country or region, and no music-use route guarantees avoiding claims or strikes. See its tips to find safe music and copyright overview.
- YouTube Creator Music licenses and revenue-sharing tracks are for eligible long-form videos, not live streams or Shorts. They are not a live-playlist workaround. See Creator Music usage details.
The available guidance does not establish that any particular Marathi station playlist or song is cleared. Confirm rights for your actual tracks and intended use rather than relying on a general claim about Marathi music.
Arrange Content ID allowlisting separately
Permission and allowlisting address different issues. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including other broadcasts. A match can trigger a warning or placeholder, and continued playback may lead to interruption or termination. YouTube says creators who have licensed third-party material should ask the rights owner to allowlist their channel through Content ID. Contact the owner before the event and keep the permission and contact details available. Read YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
A Content ID match does not, on its own, answer whether you have legal permission; conversely, having permission does not guarantee the platform will recognize it without the owner’s allowlisting steps.
Check channel eligibility and choose a streaming method
YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Confirm this before scheduling the playlist.

- Encoder on a computer: A practical choice for a playlist with a visual, overlays or a planned video layout. YouTube describes encoder streaming and lists OBS among compatible encoders.
- Mobile or webcam: YouTube also supports these routes, but they may not suit a continuous playlist with a designed visual as well as an encoder does.
- Hardware encoder: YouTube positions dedicated hardware encoding for higher-production events; it is not an inherent requirement for a playlist stream. YouTube says expensive equipment is not needed to get started.
See YouTube’s live-streaming tips for testing, previewing and monitoring. Add only visuals you have permission to use too: rights obligations apply to the complete live content, not just the audio.
Set up and test the broadcast
- Prepare the cleared playlist. Confirm the rights and territories for every recording and composition, archive permissions if relevant, and any required Content ID allowlisting. Avoid adding station audio or other material whose rights are unconfirmed.
- Choose the encoder route. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and set up or schedule the stream. In your chosen encoder, configure the stream using the connection details YouTube provides for that event. Keep the stream key private; anyone with it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Build the visual deliberately. Use a static image, playlist artwork or other on-screen material only when you have the rights to use it. Check that the visual does not obscure important information and that the audio is actually reaching the encoder.
- Preview before going public. Start a test transmission, inspect the Live Control Room preview, and verify that the event is accessible as intended. Listen for silence, clipping, interruptions and unwanted source audio; check that the picture and audio stay synchronized.
- Go live and monitor it. Watch the stream and its audio/video quality while it is running. Keep the rights owner’s contact available in case a Content ID match interrupts the broadcast. If you plan to retain a local recording, check that the archive file is being written.
YouTube offers both RTMP and HLS workflows. HLS is not required merely because the source is a playlist, and YouTube notes that HLS has higher latency than RTMP. Choose the protocol supported by your encoder and suited to the event. If using HLS, follow the current HLS setup guidance, which lists OBS as compatible and specifies audio parameters.

Troubleshoot common failures
- You cannot start a live stream: Verify the channel and confirm it has no live-streaming restriction in the past 90 days. Check the Live Control Room for the event’s connection status.
- YouTube warns about copyrighted content or interrupts the stream: Stop or replace the matching material rather than assuming the warning will clear. If the music is licensed, contact the rights owner and arrange Content ID allowlisting for your channel in advance; retain the relevant permission details.
- The stream connects, but viewers hear silence or poor audio: Check that the playlist is playing, the correct audio source is selected in the encoder, and the encoder’s audio meters respond. Preview and listen from the viewer side before the event.
- The preview is blank, frozen or unavailable: Confirm that the encoder is sending to the correct event connection details, then check its output and the Live Control Room preview. Test before the scheduled broadcast rather than diagnosing for the first time while live.
- The delay is greater than expected: Check whether you selected HLS; YouTube describes it as higher latency than RTMP. Use the protocol appropriate to your encoder and latency needs.
- The replay is missing or incomplete: Check whether archiving was enabled and whether your local recording was actually writing. Archive plans also need to be covered by your music permissions.
