If you broadcast a constant 35 Mbps H.264 4K/60fps feed to YouTube for 24 hours, the video payload sent from your connection is about 378 decimal GB, before protocol overhead. That is a broadcaster-side estimate—not the amount a viewer necessarily uses. YouTube transcodes live streams into different formats for viewers, so the viewer’s daily data use depends on the delivered playback bitrate and viewing conditions.
Broadcaster or viewer: which data use do you mean?
There are two different connections to consider. A broadcaster uploads an encoded feed to YouTube; a viewer downloads a version YouTube has prepared for their device and network. The bitrate YouTube recommends for incoming video is therefore not a reliable estimate of a viewer’s playback data.
YouTube says it transcodes live streams into multiple output formats so viewers on different devices and networks can watch. Its live encoder guidance describes the incoming feed, not a fixed bitrate delivered to every viewer. YouTube’s live encoder settings
How to estimate a broadcaster’s data use for 24 hours
Convert bitrate to bytes by multiplying by the number of seconds and dividing by eight. YouTube recommends 35 Mbps H.264 for live ingestion at 4K/2160p and 60 fps. At a constant 35 Mbps for a full day, the calculation is:

35 megabits/second × 86,400 seconds ÷ 8 = 378,000 megabytes = 378 decimal GB
This counts video payload only. A real connection or carrier meter may show a different total because of protocol overhead, interruptions, bitrate variation and the provider’s measurement conventions. The estimate also assumes the encoder continuously sends 35 Mbps for all 24 hours.

How codec and bitrate change the estimate
YouTube lists a 10–40 Mbps minimum-to-maximum range for AV1 and H.265 4K/60fps live ingestion. If either rate were held constant for 24 hours, the same calculation gives the following scenario range:

The 108–432 GB figures are calculations from the stated bitrates, not a prediction for every stream or a measured Indian carrier bill. Your actual upload depends on the bitrate your encoder sends and how consistently it holds that rate. Codec also matters. Google’s HLS ingestion documentation says HEVC generally provides 25% to 50% more compression than H.264 at the same video quality. That comparison does not determine the bitrate of a particular stream; use the rate configured for your encoder rather than assuming a fixed reduction. Delivering Live YouTube Content via HLS
Why a viewer in India cannot use the 378 GB figure as a daily allowance
The 378 GB calculation describes a broadcaster sending a 35 Mbps input feed. YouTube creates viewer output formats from the incoming stream, and the sources do not establish one exact daily data total for watching 4K/60fps YouTube Live in India. Playback use depends on the version delivered and playback conditions, including the viewer’s selected or automatically chosen quality and the time spent watching.

YouTube’s separate upload guidance recommends 53–68 Mbps for 2160p high-frame-rate SDR uploads. Those are file-upload recommendations, not live-ingestion settings and not viewer playback rates, so they should not be substituted into the live-stream calculation above.
