Make sure the replay is available first, and confirm the repeat indicator is on before leaving playback unattended.
Check that the live class has a replay
A finished live broadcast only loops if the channel has made a replay available. YouTube says a channel may post a replay or highlights after a stream ends; when available, the replay appears as a video on the channel. Not every live stream is guaranteed to have a replay. Find and open the class’s replay before setting repeat. YouTube Help: Find and watch live streams.
Turn on repeat for the replay
The control’s name and location can vary by device and app version. Use the route for the screen you are watching on, then verify that the current video is marked as repeating.
On a phone or tablet
- Open the replay’s watch screen in the YouTube app.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Additional settings.
- Turn on Loop video.

On a TV or game console
- Start the replay and press down to show the playback controls.
- Select Repeat. On some versions, the Repeat toggle is under Settings while the video is playing.
- Check that the control indicates the current video will repeat.

On a computer
Open the replay’s playback controls or settings and select the video repeat/loop option. Because control placement can change, check the indicator on your own player rather than relying on a particular icon location. YouTube Help: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.

Make sure the setting matches your goal
- Loop or Repeat plays the same replay again when it ends.
- Autoplay starts another related video after the current one ends. It does not repeat the yoga class; leave it off if you do not want playback to move on to another video. YouTube Help: Autoplay videos.
- Sleep Timer pauses playback after the selected duration. Turn it off if you want playback to continue overnight. YouTube Help: Set a sleep timer.
Why a finished replay is different from an ongoing live stream
Looping a replay repeats a completed video. DVR is a separate feature for viewers watching an active broadcast: it can let them pause and rewind the live stream. YouTube cautions that DVR may be limited or unavailable on very long streams, including streams longer than 12 hours; limits may also be lower on Apple TV, Apple AirPlay, or older app versions. For overnight repeat playback, use the finished replay and its repeat control rather than relying on an active broadcast or DVR. YouTube Help: Use DVR on live streams.
If playback does not continue as expected
- The class stops at the end: Check that you enabled Loop video or Repeat, not just Autoplay, and confirm the player shows repeat is active.
- The class is missing from the channel: The channel may not have made a replay available after the live stream ended. YouTube says a replay may be posted, but it is not guaranteed.
- Playback pauses after a while: Check whether Sleep Timer is enabled and turn it off.
- You are watching the broadcast, not a replay: DVR affects pausing and rewinding an ongoing stream; it is not the same as looping a finished video. Open the replay if one is available.
