Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallTo keep a Hindi yoga nidra recording repeating in a YouTube livestream, add the local file to an OBS scene as a Media Source, enable Loop in its properties, and connect OBS to an encoder stream created in YouTube Studio. Test it privately or as an unlisted stream before going public. OBS and your computer must remain running for this do-it-yourself setup; YouTube warns that streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured in its archive.
Before you start
- Your YouTube channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. Check eligibility in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room; it depends on your channel’s actual status.
- Have the Hindi yoga nidra recording saved locally. OBS Media Source supports common audio and video formats including MP3, AAC, OGG, WAV, MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM. Media Source is available on Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Use only narration, music, images and video for which you have the necessary rights to livestream. YouTube scans live content for third-party matches. A detected match can replace the stream with a placeholder, and continued use can interrupt or terminate the broadcast. For licensed third-party content, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
Set up the looping recording in OBS
- Open OBS and create or select a scene for the broadcast.
- In the Sources panel, select +, choose Media Source, and create a new source. Browse to the local Hindi yoga nidra file.
- Open the Media Source properties and enable Loop. This makes the file play again when playback completes. Keep the source in the active scene.
- Decide whether to enable Restart playback when source becomes active. This is separate from Loop: it controls playback when the source becomes visible, not whether the file repeats at its end.
- Check the Audio Mixer while the file plays. The intended audio source should appear and its meter should move. If it does not, open Settings → Audio and select the correct device manually. With an audio-only file, make sure the scene also presents an intentional visual rather than an unintended blank screen.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live to reach the Live Control Room, then create or schedule an encoder stream.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for that stream into OBS’s stream settings. The key is a credential that lets OBS send video to your YouTube stream; keep it private and do not publish or share it.
- Set the output resolution and frame rate you intend to use. YouTube supports H.264, H.265 and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS ingestion and recommends CBR encoding with a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds.
- Choose a bitrate that fits the output and your reliable upload capacity. YouTube’s current guidance recommends these H.264 examples:
| Output | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate |
|---|---|
| 1080p at 30 fps | 14 Mbps |
| 720p at 30 fps | 8 Mbps |
| 480p at 30 fps | 4 Mbps |
These are platform recommendations for the listed formats, not a promise that your connection can sustain them. Higher resolution and frame rate require more upload bandwidth and can add encoder load. YouTube recommends testing at the intended resolution and frame rate with representative audio and movement.
Test the stream before publishing
- Start streaming from OBS while the YouTube event is private or unlisted.
- Wait for the preview in Live Control Room. Check that the picture and Hindi narration are present, the audio level is appropriate, and YouTube reports healthy stream status.
- Watch long enough to confirm playback and sound are behaving as expected. If you change resolution, frame rate or bitrate, test again with the settings you plan to use.
- Only switch the event to public when you are satisfied with the result. Monitor audio and video during the broadcast; a short test before your first real stream can reveal problems before viewers encounter them.
Plan for long broadcasts and local backups
A looping OBS source does not make the broadcast self-sustaining: OBS, the computer, power, the source file and the network all remain dependencies, and the setup needs monitoring. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not rely on YouTube’s archive as the only copy of a long broadcast.
OBS can record locally while it streams. Configure a recording path in OBS and make sure the selected disk has enough free space for the intended quality and duration; the required capacity depends on those settings. OBS recommends MKV for recording because an ungraceful stop is less likely to corrupt the entire file. An external SSD is one possible recording destination, but it is optional.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| The recording stops instead of repeating. | Loop is disabled, or the source is not active in the current scene. | Open Media Source properties, enable Loop, and confirm the source is in the active scene. |
| The picture or sound is missing in YouTube’s preview. | The wrong source, scene, audio device or stream settings may be selected. | Check the OBS scene and Audio Mixer, confirm the meter moves, and verify the Live Control Room preview before publishing. |
| YouTube does not receive the OBS feed. | The channel may not be eligible, or the stream URL or key may be incorrect. | Check the channel’s Live Control Room status and recheck the stream URL and key for the correct encoder event. Keep the key private. |
| The stream health is poor or unstable. | The chosen bitrate may exceed reliable upload bandwidth, or the computer may struggle with the output settings. | Test at the intended resolution and frame rate, use a bitrate your connection can sustain, and lower the output demands if testing shows instability. |
| The live stream is interrupted after a copyright match. | The recording may contain third-party audio or visuals without the required livestream rights. | Use content you are authorized to stream. If you have a license, ask the rights owner whether your channel must be added to its Content ID allowlist. |
| A long stream is missing from the YouTube archive. | YouTube warns that streams over 12 hours may not be captured. | Record locally in OBS and confirm the recording destination has sufficient space. |
