VOD rerun में encoder क्या encode करता है?
रिकॉर्ड किया हुआ gaming video OBS में source हो सकता है, लेकिन YouTube Live पर भेजा जाने वाला outgoing feed फिर भी encode करना पड़ता है। इसलिए x264 या NVENC का चुनाव इस बात पर है कि OBS उस live feed को कैसे encode करे—न कि मूल VOD पहले कैसे encode हुआ था। YouTube incoming stream को viewers के लिए अलग output formats में transcode करता है। YouTube की live encoder settings में समर्थित settings और bitrate guidance दी गई है।
x264 और NVENC में व्यावहारिक फर्क

OBS hardware encoding को performance के लिए सामान्यतः सुझाता है। OBS यह भी बताता है कि x264 कुछ स्थितियों में प्रति bitrate बेहतर गुणवत्ता दे सकता है, लेकिन वह CPU संसाधन मांग सकता है। आपके गेम, GPU generation, scene complexity और settings के बिना किसी एक encoder को हर हाल में बेहतर कहना उचित नहीं है। OBS का x264 मार्गदर्शन और hardware encoding सहायता इन trade-offs का संदर्भ देते हैं।
OBS में चुनाव कैसे करें और test कैसे चलाएँ
- Encoder उपलब्धता जाँचें: OBS की Settings में Output खोलें और Streaming output के Encoder विकल्प देखें। विकल्पों के नाम OBS version, operating system, GPU और driver के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं। यदि NVENC दिखाई नहीं देता, तो GPU/driver compatibility और OBS की पहचान जाँचें; केवल इस आधार पर नया hardware खरीदने का निर्णय न लें।
- एक test stream बनाएँ: YouTube पर private या unlisted live test करें। वही गेम, high-motion दृश्य, scene layout और audio mix रखें जिन्हें rerun में इस्तेमाल करना है। YouTube समान motion और audio के साथ परीक्षण तथा stream health देखने की सलाह देता है।
- Resolution, frame rate और bitrate तय करें: YouTube की मौजूदा live encoder settings में H.264 के लिए 720p60 पर 8 Mbps, 1080p60 पर 17 Mbps और 1440p60 पर 34 Mbps सुझाए गए हैं। ये YouTube के platform guidance के आंकड़े हैं, भारत की हर internet connection के लिए upload guarantee नहीं। Codec, resolution और frame rate के अनुरूप तालिका देखें; YouTube CBR, अधिकतम 60 fps और 2-second keyframe interval सुझाता है, और keyframe interval 4 seconds से अधिक न रखने को कहता है।
- Upload stability मापें: चुने bitrate को लगातार बनाए रखने लायक स्थिर upload capacity सुनिश्चित करें और कुछ headroom रखें। किसी खास भारत-व्यापी upload speed को सुरक्षित मानने का आधार नहीं है; ISP और घर के नेटवर्क के अनुसार क्षमता अलग होगी।
- Stats और stream health देखें: OBS Stats तथा YouTube stream health में dropped/lagged frames और encoding overload पर ध्यान दें। एक ही test में encoder बदलकर, बाकी settings यथासंभव समान रखते हुए, परिणामों की तुलना करें।
- नतीजे के अनुसार समायोजन करें: x264 overload हो तो output resolution या FPS घटाएँ, अथवा तेज preset आज़माएँ—तेज preset में गुणवत्ता का समझौता हो सकता है। NVENC के साथ GPU saturation दिखे तो गेम का GPU load घटाएँ; CPU headroom हो तो x264 test करें।
भारत में bitrate और network को कैसे समझें
YouTube के सुझाए bitrate platform की ingest settings हैं, किसी भारतीय ISP या शहर के लिए माप नहीं। Wi-Fi, घर के अन्य उपयोगकर्ता, peak-time congestion और router/ISP की स्थिरता के कारण वास्तविक upload बदल सकता है। इसलिए केवल speed-test के क्षणिक परिणाम पर निर्भर न रहें: अपने intended bitrate पर test stream चलाकर YouTube stream health देखें।

OBS की 30 नवंबर 2023 की advanced recording guide में x264 और NVENC के लिए keyframe interval 2 तथा quality-based rate-control के recording starting points हैं। वे recording के लिए हैं, live stream bitrate prescriptions नहीं; YouTube Live के लिए ऊपर दी गई ingest settings को आधार बनाएं। OBS की recording settings guide का उपयोग live bitrate तय करने के लिए न करें।
कब OBS rerun के बजाय cloud विकल्प उपयोगी है?

VOD को live feed की तरह प्रसारित करना copyright या YouTube channel policies से छूट नहीं देता। केवल वही gameplay, music और अन्य सामग्री प्रसारित करें जिसके उपयोग के अधिकार आपके पास हों या जो लागू permissions के अंतर्गत हो। YouTube की monetization नीतियों में reused content का मूल्यांकन copyright से अलग हो सकता है; किसी और के gameplay को दोबारा चलाना अपने-आप monetization योग्य नहीं बनाता। लाइव प्रसारण से पहले YouTube की channel monetization policies और live streaming requirements पढ़ें, खासकर यदि VOD में licensed music या तीसरे पक्ष की सामग्री है।
