You can run a continuous Hindi real-estate project tour on a low-cost PC with OBS, but the PC and internet connection must sustain the chosen workload—and a local setup needs someone prepared to monitor and restart it if something fails. Start by confirming YouTube Live eligibility, then test a simple 720p30 H.264 scene before committing to a public 24/7 feed. YouTube lists 4 Mbps as its recommended H.264 video bitrate for 720p30; that is a platform recommendation, not a guarantee that your PC or connection can hold a stream reliably.
What you need before setting up the tour
- A verified YouTube channel without live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube says creators must be at least 16 to livestream. First-time live activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well ahead of the planned start. See YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance.
- A PC capable of encoding your selected resolution and frame rate, plus a stable upload connection with headroom beyond the video bitrate. OBS lists Windows 10/11 and a DirectX 10.1-compatible GPU among its baseline requirements, but compatibility alone does not mean a system can stream a particular workload. See OBS system requirements.
- OBS Studio, the project tour footage or other video source, and optionally a microphone for Hindi narration. A silent tour does not require a microphone.
- Permission to show the property and any people or material in the feed, along with the rights needed for footage, music, logos, and other content.
Set up YouTube Live and OBS
1. Enable live streaming and create the event
- In YouTube Studio, open the live-streaming workflow, create or schedule a stream, and follow the channel prompts if live streaming has not been enabled before. Allow up to 24 hours for first activation.
- In the event’s stream settings, obtain the stream URL and stream key. YouTube uses these to receive the encoder feed. Treat the key like a password: do not show it in a screen recording, share it publicly, or include it in a tutorial.
YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes connecting an encoder to a live event. Interface labels can change, so use the current YouTube Studio labels shown for your account.
2. Build a light OBS scene
- Open OBS and use the Auto-Configuration Wizard as a starting point; then verify performance with the actual tour content.
- Create a scene with the property tour video or other intended source. Add a restrained project-name label if useful. Keep animated overlays and unnecessary sources to a minimum on a low-cost PC.
- If you are narrating in Hindi, add the microphone as an audio input and check that speech is understandable without peaking or being drowned out by other audio. Monitor the actual scene, not just a microphone test in isolation.
3. Connect OBS to the YouTube event
- In OBS, open Settings > Stream.
- Select YouTube as the service if available, then enter or connect the stream key and server information supplied by YouTube Studio. Use RTMPS when the encoder offers the secure transport option recommended by YouTube.
- Keep the key private. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance recommends RTMPS as the secure extension of RTMP.
Choose resolution, bitrate, and keyframes
Use a setting the PC can encode continuously and the measured upload connection can sustain. YouTube’s published H.264 recommendations include these two common choices:

These bitrate figures are YouTube’s recommendations, not total network usage or a promise of performance. Other network traffic and connection fluctuations require additional headroom. The right result also depends on scene complexity and the PC’s encoder. Start with 720p30 if capacity is uncertain, then test before choosing a higher resolution.
- Codec: H.264 is a practical compatibility choice where available. YouTube’s listed RTMP/RTMPS settings also accept H.265/HEVC and AV1.
- Rate control: Set CBR, YouTube’s recommendation.
- Keyframe interval: Set 2 seconds; do not exceed 4 seconds.
- Transport: Prefer RTMPS when offered.
OBS’s baseline requirements do not establish what a particular inexpensive PC can sustain. Check which encoders OBS actually offers on that machine and test with the tour running. A compatible system is not a performance guarantee.

Rehearse and monitor the broadcast
- Set up the encoder at least two hours before an event where possible, as YouTube recommends. For a continuous channel, complete this rehearsal before launching the intended 24/7 feed.
- Start the encoder at least 15 minutes before a scheduled start. Check the Live Control Room preview and wait for stream-health messages before making the event public.
- Test representative movement, scene changes, and narration. Verify audio and picture in the preview, then confirm the stream is accessible from the channel or watch page and on a phone.
- During the live feed, monitor audio and video quality. For a 24/7 PC stream, arrange who will check it and how they can restore OBS, the PC, or the internet connection after an interruption. The documented platform guidance does not guarantee automatic recovery from a local failure.

Plan for the archive and for rights
A 24-hour stream is not assured as one complete archive
YouTube says live streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a single 24-hour broadcast will produce a complete archive. If a complete replay matters, consider dividing the feed into shorter sessions, verify current platform behavior, and retain source recordings independently where needed. Clear property access and content rights first
Obtain permission from the project owner and any appropriate consent from occupants or participants. Check the laws and regulatory requirements that apply where the stream is made and received; the necessary permissions depend on the location and circumstances, so this is not a jurisdiction-specific legal conclusion. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for rights and applicable requirements on the creator: YouTube Terms of Service.
Use only music, video, images, logos, and other material for which the channel has the required rights. YouTube scans livestreams for third-party matches; unresolved matches can interrupt or terminate a stream. Even licensed material may require the rights owner to allowlist the channel.
