To use MIXLINE with Streamlabs Desktop, route the audio sources you want through MIXLINE to its MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record output, then add that output in Streamlabs Desktop as an Audio Input Capture source. Build and check the mix in MIXLINE first. The documented MIXLINE workflow is for Windows; Streamlabs Desktop’s broader macOS support does not mean MIXLINE is available there.
What MIXLINE does in this setup
MIXLINE, from Logitech G, lets you visually route audio inputs—such as apps and connected devices—to outputs. Streamlabs Desktop captures the MIXLINE virtual output you select. An input added to MIXLINE will not be heard at an output until you connect it with a route.
This is useful when you want different audio paths: for example, Discord in your headphones but not on stream, or music on stream without sending it to your headphones. Routing controls where audio goes; it does not grant permission to broadcast it. Use audio you have the rights to stream.
Before you start
- Use a Windows computer for the MIXLINE steps described here. Streamlabs’ MIXLINE guide identifies the software as currently available only for Windows.
- Install MIXLINE from Logitech G’s MIXLINE page, and install or open Streamlabs Desktop.
- Connect any audio devices you plan to use. Open the apps whose audio you want to route and make sure they are playing sound.
- Decide which MIXLINE output you will use—MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record—and use that same output both in your MIXLINE routes and in the Streamlabs capture source.

Add your audio inputs and outputs in MIXLINE
In MIXLINE, add the devices and application audio sources you need as inputs. Add your listening device as an output if you want to monitor through it. Add MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record as the virtual output intended for the application path you will capture.

Route each input to the right output
Connect an input to an output by dragging between the nodes, or use the input’s plus control and choose the target from its menu. Repeat for every source. Check the visible connections: an input with no route to the intended output will not reach that output.

Set levels and listen to the mix
Adjust input and output levels, including submixes if you use them. Use MIXLINE’s listening or monitor control to hear the mix and confirm that the sources you want are present at the appropriate levels.

Add the virtual output as a Streamlabs source
In Streamlabs Desktop, select the + next to Sources, choose Audio Input Capture, and add the source. Give it a recognizable name, such as “MIXLINE.” If a device chooser does not open automatically, open the source settings and select the same output you routed in MIXLINE: MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record.

Verify capture before going live
Play the routed audio or speak into the relevant source. Confirm that the Audio Input Capture source is set to the intended MIXLINE output and that activity appears in the Streamlabs mixer. If you cannot hear the intended mix, check the route and selected output before starting the stream.

Choosing MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record
The setup instructions identify both virtual outputs and direct you to select the corresponding one in the streaming or recording application. They do not establish a universal preference or document a technical difference that makes one better in every setup. Choose the output you configured for your intended path, then confirm that Streamlabs is capturing that same output.
Troubleshoot missing or silent audio
- A source is missing in MIXLINE: Check that the audio device is connected, or that the application is open and running. Make sure the app is producing audio.
- An input appears but is silent: Check that it has a route to the output you intend to hear or capture. Adding an input alone does not send it to an output.
- Streamlabs does not receive the intended mix: Open the Audio Input Capture settings and confirm they select the same MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record output that receives the routes in MIXLINE.
- You are on macOS: The documented MIXLINE workflow is Windows-only. Streamlabs Desktop’s general macOS availability is not evidence that this MIXLINE integration works on macOS.
