Then thank viewers in the replay’s description, a pinned comment, or a later Community post. Make clear that it is a post-stream thank-you—not a live shout-out—and use “buyers” or “supporters” rather than “donors,” since Super Chats are purchases, not charitable donations.
Find Super Chat activity after the livestream
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.
- Open Earn > Supers.
- Review the Super Chat and Super Sticker activity available for the completed broadcast.
YouTube’s guidance recommends acknowledging Super Chat buyers while a stream is live—for example, with a verbal thank-you or by hearting a message. Those are live chat actions; after the event, use the available activity to prepare an accurate post-stream acknowledgement. YouTube Help: Super Chat & Super Stickers tips.
Post a clear thank-you for replay viewers
YouTube does not prescribe a particular placement for a thank-you after the stream. A description update, pinned comment, or later Community post are practical ways to reach people watching the replay.
- Description: Add a brief acknowledgement where replay viewers can find it.
- Pinned comment: Post a thank-you and pin it so it remains easy to see in the comments.
- Community post: Thank supporters in a separate update if that suits your channel.
For example: “Thank you to everyone who supported the original livestream with a Super Chat or Super Sticker. This is a post-stream thank-you for the broadcast.” If naming buyers, check spelling and avoid revealing personal information they did not intend to make public. Do not describe the acknowledgement as live if it was added after the event.

Can someone send a Super Chat on the replay?
Super Chats are highlighted messages in live chat during livestreams and Premieres. Once a livestream ends, its replay may be available on the channel as a video; YouTube’s guidance does not describe Super Chats being purchased on an ordinary replay. A Super Chat belongs to the original live event, not a later replay comment. See YouTube Help: Learn about live streams and Super Chat and Super Stickers eligibility, availability and policies.
Super Thanks is different from Super Chat
Super Thanks is a separate fan-funding feature. Eligible viewers may be able to purchase it on an archived long-form video, including an eligible livestream replay, but it is not available while a livestream or Premiere is live. It produces a distinct comment on the video; it does not add a Super Chat to the original live chat. Availability depends on the creator, video, and location.

If you mention Super Thanks in a post-stream message, describe it as a separate way eligible viewers may support an archived video—not as a way to send a replay Super Chat. Check YouTube Help for Super Thanks eligibility, availability, and policies.
Check eligibility before promising a feature
Fan-funding features require acceptance into the YouTube Partner Program and compliance with the relevant Commerce Product Module or applicable prior Commerce Product Addendum. Individual feature requirements and supported regions also apply. Super Chat and Super Stickers are unavailable on some video types, including age-restricted, unlisted, private, made-for-kids, and fundraiser videos; they also depend on live chat and comments being available. Check the current channel and video status in YouTube Studio before telling viewers they can use a feature.

YouTube states that Super Chat and Super Stickers are not crowdfunding or donation tools. Calling a purchase a “donation” can imply charitable giving or tax deductibility, so use “Super Chat buyer,” “supporter,” or “viewer who sent a Super Chat” instead.
