YouTube does not publish a fixed rate for each view of a 24/7 livestream replay. An eligible creator can earn Watch Page ad and YouTube Premium revenue when people watch the public replay, but those earnings depend on ads actually served, viewer and ad mix, and the channel’s eligibility—not simply on the replay’s view count.
What revenue can a livestream replay earn?
A public replay may earn Watch Page ad and YouTube Premium revenue if the channel has access to the relevant YouTube Partner Program features, accepts the Watch Page Monetization Module, and the video is eligible for monetization. Ads must be enabled, but that setting does not guarantee that YouTube will show an ad; the video also goes through a standard review. YouTube’s Watch Page monetization guidance describes the applicable module and eligibility.
For partners who accept the Watch Page Monetization Module, YouTube states that the partner receives 55% of net revenue from ads shown or streamed on public Watch Page videos. That is a share of net ad revenue—not 55% of an advertiser’s gross spend, not a fixed amount per view, and not a guarantee of earnings. YouTube says partner earnings are not guaranteed.
Eligible livestreams can also generate revenue through Super Chat, Super Stickers, channel memberships, and Premium viewing. Those sources are distinct from replay ad revenue, so a channel’s total estimated revenue should not be treated as money generated by replay ads alone.

Why replay views do not translate into a fixed payout
YouTube reports views, estimated monetized playbacks, and ad impressions as different measures. A view may have no ad; a monetized playback may produce more than one ad impression. Whether an ad appears can depend on factors including viewer geography, ad targeting and availability, Premium status, and the viewer’s prior ad exposure. For that reason, total replay views cannot be multiplied by a universal per-view rate to calculate earnings.
There is also no published special rate for a 24/7 replay. YouTube’s live-stream controls explain monetization during the broadcast: when live monetization is on, pre-roll and display ads are enabled automatically, and creators can use mid-rolls. But YouTube says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. Its public guidance does not establish that live ad intervals determine replay ad delivery or that a livestream replay has its own payout formula. See YouTube’s live-stream monetization guidance.

How to check live and replay ad revenue in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Analytics → Revenue. Review estimated revenue and the available revenue reports.
- Choose the Live filter. YouTube says Analytics provides a breakdown of ad revenue from live streams and live replays.
- Use an ad-specific report to isolate advertising. Revenue-source reporting or estimated ad revenue is more useful for this question than total estimated revenue.
- Keep RPM and CPM in context. RPM is creator revenue after YouTube’s share per 1,000 views and can include ads, Premium, memberships, Super Chat, and Super Stickers. CPM is an advertiser-focused cost per 1,000 ad impressions before revenue share; it is not the creator’s payout per 1,000 replay views.
Use the Live-filtered ad breakdown to examine live and replay advertising, and do not assume a channel-wide RPM represents replay ads alone. YouTube’s definitions of these metrics are in its Analytics and revenue guidance.
Why estimated revenue can change
Initial estimated revenue is not necessarily final. YouTube says monthly estimates can fluctuate because of invalid traffic, Content ID claims and disputes, or certain types of ad campaigns. It describes two adjustment points after revenue is generated: a more complete estimate after about one week, then finalization in the middle of the following month. Treat early Studio figures as estimates, not settled payment amounts. See YouTube’s explanation of revenue adjustments.

Do not confuse the 2026 view-count change with earnings
YouTube states that, beginning August 24, 2026, a view is counted when a video starts to play across formats, including livestreams and long-form videos. YouTube also says this change does not affect YPP earnings or eligibility. It is therefore not evidence of a changed replay payout, and the updated view count still should not be confused with monetized playbacks or ad impressions. Details are in YouTube’s content-performance guidance.

If the goal is to keep uploaded video playing as a YouTube livestream, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud continues looping the uploaded video, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. It is separate from YouTube’s monetization system; using a streaming service does not guarantee that ads serve or that a replay earns revenue.
