To loop art gallery exhibition videos on YouTube Live, play the gallery’s authorized prerecorded files continuously through an encoder and send that live feed to YouTube. You can run the playback and encoder on a local computer, or use StreamNeo to play uploaded videos from the cloud. Before going live, verify that the channel is eligible, secure rights for every work and sound in the video, and test the feed in YouTube Studio.
What you need for a continuous gallery stream
- A YouTube channel eligible to live stream. YouTube says the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; streamers must be at least 16. Check current eligibility and setup guidance in YouTube’s live-streaming help.
- Video files you are authorized to stream, arranged as a playlist or continuous sequence. Include title cards or transitions if they suit the exhibition.
- An encoder feed. For a local setup, playback and encoding run on a computer; OBS is one example described in a secondary workflow guide. YouTube supports encoder streaming, but its help does not prescribe OBS or a specific playlist configuration.
- A broadcast in YouTube Studio, plus its stream URL and private stream key.
- A plan for monitoring interruptions and responding to rights or Content ID notices.
The reviewed YouTube guidance does not establish a minimum computer specification for this workflow. Check equipment you already have before buying anything; the relevant requirement is that it can play the files and run the chosen encoder reliably.
Clear rights before scheduling
Confirm permission for all material in the exhibition videos: the recorded artwork, footage, music, narration, and any other third-party content. The U.S. Copyright Office’s 2011 analysis of public performance rights describes those rights as applying to communication or transmission of a work to the public. It is general U.S. guidance, not a determination of the rights needed for a particular exhibition; check the licenses and applicable law for the works and jurisdictions involved.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. It may replace a stream with a placeholder image, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even licensed material can be interrupted if the relevant owner has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Where appropriate, ask rights owners to allowlist the channel before the broadcast, and keep permissions and license details available to the people monitoring it. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Set up a local encoder loop
- Verify channel access. Sign in to the gallery’s YouTube channel, confirm verification and live-stream eligibility, and resolve any restrictions before promoting a broadcast. YouTube lists encoder streaming alongside mobile, webcam, and console methods; an encoder is the relevant route for a custom prerecorded loop.
- Prepare the sequence. Put the authorized exhibition files in the desired order. Decide whether the presentation should run as one continuous sequence or repeat a playlist, and include any transition or identification cards in the video sequence. The reviewed official YouTube instructions do not document a native feature that turns a normal upload into a live loop.
- Create or select the live broadcast. In YouTube Studio, create a live stream or select the broadcast you intend to use. Copy the stream URL and stream key into the encoder’s YouTube connection settings. The exact Studio labels can change; use YouTube’s current stream settings instructions for the current interface.
- Protect the stream key. YouTube describes the key as the encoder’s password and address. Treat it as a secret: do not put it in public documents, show it on a screen share, or send it to people who do not need access. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in Studio and update the encoder.
- Configure playback and encoding. In the local encoder workflow, select the prepared files or playlist and enable continuous looping in the playback method you are using. Start the encoder output to YouTube, then wait for Studio to show that it is receiving a stable feed. YouTube’s official material supports encoder streaming generally; it does not specify OBS playlist settings or a particular loop configuration.
- Test before announcing. Confirm that the intended video and audio reach the broadcast, the stream remains active, and the sequence repeats as intended. Keep the Studio stream-health view open during the run and assign someone to respond if the feed stops or a rights notice appears.
Choose local playback or cloud playout
With a local encoder, the gallery controls playback directly, but the computer, power, internet connection, and monitoring need to remain available. Cloud playout removes the need for a dedicated local computer to keep the feed running, though the gallery should still decide who checks the broadcast and handles rights notices or service interruptions. Compare the options on recurring cost, sequence and overlay control, responsibility for connectivity and restarts, and interruption handling. No comparative price, uptime, or service-quality figures are established here.

StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos: upload the gallery video or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer does not have to stay on at home. Each slot streams uploads as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price regardless of quality; if YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. The first day is free with no card required, once per account. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera feed, so the gallery must still clear the content and monitor YouTube’s rights notices. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
