Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFor a continuous YouTube stream of prerecorded lessons, there is no verified universal “best budget VPS” in India: the right plan depends chiefly on the stream bitrate, whether the server must encode video, and the provider’s actual outbound-transfer rules. The published options below provide useful starting points, but none has been independently demonstrated to sustain this workload around the clock. If you need playback rather than root access to a server, StreamNeo is the first alternative to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with a free first day.
What to check before choosing a VPS
A VPS can host a prerecorded video and send it to YouTube continuously, but a low monthly price alone does not establish that it can do so reliably. Compare the full cost and operating limits, not just CPU and RAM.
- Outbound transfer: calculate expected monthly video traffic from your bitrate, then confirm whether the plan’s allowance counts outbound stream traffic and what happens at the limit.
- Network terms: ask whether sustained egress is permitted, whether traffic is throttled, and whether the advertised speed is a port rate or a usable continuous rate.
- Workload: looping an already encoded file is different from real-time encoding. If you encode on the VPS, CPU needs depend on codec, resolution, frame rate, encoder preset, and number of streams. The listed plans have not been validated for either workload.
- Files and recovery: account for source-file storage and delivery, backups, restart behavior, support, taxes, and current regional availability.
For YouTube ingest settings and a pre-launch test, use YouTube’s live encoder settings guide. It recommends RTMPS and provides settings by codec and frame rate. Its recommended H.264 bitrates include 10 Mbps for 1080p30 and 14 Mbps for 1080p60.
Estimate the bandwidth your stream will use
For a constant bitrate, estimate video payload as bitrate × seconds ÷ 8. Using a 30-day month, these figures are arithmetic estimates based on YouTube’s published recommended H.264 bitrates, not provider-measured usage. They exclude protocol overhead, reconnects, and other traffic.
#1 Best Overall
| Bitrate | Approximate payload for 30 days | Context |
|---|---|---|
| 6 Mbps | 1.944 TB | Arithmetic estimate; not a YouTube recommendation cited here |
| 10 Mbps | 3.24 TB | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate for 1080p30 |
| 14 Mbps | 4.536 TB | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate for 1080p60 |
These decimal-terabyte estimates describe stream payload sent from the VPS. The provider may define “bandwidth” or transfer differently, so confirm its accounting before buying. For example, Endercloud’s listed 2 TB allowance would be below the estimated 30-day payload at 10 Mbps if that allowance counts VPS stream egress.

| VPSWala India KVM VPS, VPS 8 | ₹1,438/month; 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe, 400 GB transfer. VPSWala catalogue/pricing reviewed 21 August 2026; monthly price excludes GST. | Whether the transfer allowance covers outbound stream traffic; 400 GB is far below the 30-day payload estimates above for continuous streams at the listed example bitrates. |
| Endercloud India VPS, starting listed plan | ₹999/month; Mumbai location, 3 vCore, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe, 2 TB bandwidth at 1 Gbps. Endercloud page accessed in 2026. | Whether “bandwidth” means outbound transfer, overage or throttling rules, sustained egress, availability, support, and final price. The page primarily markets the location for game hosting; streaming has not been independently tested. |
VPSWala lists Mumbai, Noida, and Jaipur nodes. That establishes advertised locations, not verified stream quality or continuous performance. Endercloud lists Mumbai plans, but its published specifications likewise do not demonstrate successful 24/7 YouTube delivery. Ask the provider to confirm the exact node and transfer terms for your account before committing.
Set up and test a VPS-based stream
The exact server commands depend on the operating system, encoder, and whether you are relaying or transcoding; the provider listings cited here do not prescribe or validate a particular setup. Use the encoder or streaming software you choose to configure the source file, YouTube ingest, and any required restart behavior. The important checks are the stream key, ingest settings, outbound transfer, and a representative test.

- Choose the output settings. Match resolution and frame rate to the source and select an appropriate bitrate from YouTube’s current encoder guidance. Avoid assuming a higher setting is better if the source is lower resolution or the VPS transfer allowance cannot support it.
- Configure YouTube ingest. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and use its stream key and ingest information in your encoder. Treat the key like a password; do not publish it or place it in a public script or repository.
- Run a representative test. Include the real audio and motion, then check YouTube’s stream health and the VPS’s CPU, memory, network traffic, disk space, and process status. YouTube Help says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.”
- Plan restarts and outages. Confirm how your software reconnects after a network drop or process failure, and test recovery before relying on the stream. Keep a separate copy of important source files and any recording you need.
- Recheck after launch. Monitor actual transfer against the provider’s allowance and review stream health. A successful short test does not prove sustained 24/7 egress.
Do not rely on one 24/7 broadcast as your only archive
YouTube’s live stream archive instructions say streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, recommend recording a local archive as a backup, and warn that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If keeping a complete recording matters, do not treat one indefinite live broadcast as the archive. Record the educational material independently and consider shorter scheduled streams; confirm current behavior in YouTube Studio.
Keep educational replays useful and policy-compliant
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams. They require monetized content to be original and authentic; repetitive or mass-produced material without meaningful educational or creative value may be ineligible. A loop is not automatically a policy violation, but repeating material solely to accumulate views is not a sound monetization strategy. Make the stream meaningfully useful to learners, use content you have rights to stream, and avoid interchangeable repetitions. This is an eligibility concern, not a prediction about the outcome of any channel review.

Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is continuous playback of uploaded recordings, rather than managing a server, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it keeps a YouTube channel live from the cloud, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and the first day is free with no card. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Monthly: $9.99 per month. For Indian creators, UPI and cards are supported. Start the free first day on StreamNeo.
Frequently Asked Questions
