You can keep a Hindi devotional playlist live on YouTube by running a video encoder and playlist process on a cloud server, then sending its feed to a YouTube broadcast. First confirm that your channel can livestream and that you have permission to rebroadcast every video and song. YouTube documents 24/7 broadcasts, but the server, playlist software, monitoring and recovery are your responsibility unless you use a managed service.
Before you start: check channel eligibility and media rights
Confirm YouTube Live is enabled
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so do this well before your planned launch. These are YouTube Help requirements, not guarantees that a particular broadcast will be approved.
Clear the rights for every playlist item
Use only videos and music that you own or are licensed to rebroadcast on a YouTube livestream. A devotional, bhajan, kirtan or Gurbani recording is not automatically exempt from copyright or other YouTube rules because of its religious subject. The fact that a song is traditional also does not establish that a particular recording or arrangement is free to use.
- Keep records of licenses or permissions for both the composition and the specific recording where applicable.
- Do not treat a YouTube watch-page URL as an authorized encoder input or as permission to retransmit someone else’s stream.
- Review YouTube’s current live-streaming policies and its copyright safety checklist before going live.
Use the free copyright safety checklist to organize that review. No encoder setting can make an unlicensed playlist safe to rebroadcast.

Choose how to run the cloud playout
There are two practical approaches. The do-it-yourself route gives you control but requires you to select, configure and supervise the server software. A managed cloud playout service may take on some of that work; confirm its current YouTube compatibility, continuous-stream limits, archive behavior, data handling and terms before relying on it.

YouTube’s documentation does not specify a required cloud server size or endorse a particular playlist application or hosting provider. Size and configure your server based on the chosen software, media, target resolution and sustained upload capacity; validate those requirements with the relevant provider and software documentation.

Set up a self-managed cloud stream
1. Prepare the media and playlist
Put authorized video files somewhere the server process can read them. Build a playlist using the format supported by your chosen playout or encoder software, and decide whether items should repeat in order or follow another supported sequence. Test the playlist end to end before scheduling a public broadcast: confirm that it advances between files, that audio is present, and that the final item returns to the intended next item.
Storage needs depend on file sizes and playlist length. Leave room for the media, any temporary files your software creates and operational logs. YouTube’s cited setup guidance does not establish a storage figure for a cloud server.

2. Create the YouTube broadcast and obtain its connection details
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live and configure a broadcast.
- Copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key shown for the broadcast into the encoder or playout software running on your server.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to that broadcast. Do not paste it into public scripts, screenshots, logs or support posts.
- Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview and stream health before making the broadcast public.
Labels and available broadcast controls can change in YouTube Studio. Use the server URL and key displayed for the specific broadcast rather than assuming that another broadcast’s details are interchangeable.
3. Match encoder settings to the connection and output
Choose a bitrate the cloud server’s sustained upload connection can maintain, and test with representative picture motion and audio. YouTube’s current settings guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC and AV1 as supported video ingestion codecs, and AAC and MP3 as supported audio codecs. The software must support the codec you select.

- Rate control: Use CBR (constant bitrate), as YouTube recommends.
- Keyframes: Set a two-second interval; YouTube says the interval should not exceed four seconds.
- Transport: For RTMP ingestion, use RTMPS when available. YouTube recommends RTMPS because it encrypts the feed to Google’s servers.
- Resolution and bitrate: Match the output to the source and the capacity you can sustain. YouTube’s current table lists H.264 1080p at 30 fps as 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended. Those are platform settings, not a promise of uninterrupted delivery or a requirement to stream at 1080p.
- Audio: Check that the selected audio codec is supported and that levels are audible without clipping during both quiet and loud passages.
Do not increase output quality beyond what the server and its upload connection can maintain steadily. A stable, tested feed is more useful than a higher setting that repeatedly drops frames or disconnects.
4. Test privately, then launch
- Run a representative playlist segment through the complete cloud-to-YouTube path.
- Inspect the Live Control Room preview and stream health for missing audio, unstable delivery, unexpected scaling or other warnings.
- Confirm that the playlist transitions correctly and that the encoder remains connected during those transitions.
- Only after the test is satisfactory, set the broadcast’s visibility and start the intended continuous schedule.
Keep a 24/7 broadcast operating
Google’s YouTube Live Streaming API documentation describes a channel with a 24/7 live feed and a separate broadcast occurring during that continuous feed. This establishes that continuous-feed broadcasts are a documented use case; it does not specify cloud-server provisioning or guarantee uptime.

Plan for process and connection failures
A cloud server removes the need to keep a home computer running, but it does not remove the need to monitor the encoder and server. Configure process supervision and alerting using the tools supported by your chosen operating system, hosting provider and playout software. Decide how the playlist should resume after a process restart, and test what happens after a simulated encoder stop or server restart before relying on the setup.
YouTube says its encoder workflow automatically archives streams that are under 12 hours. Do not assume that one uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast will produce one complete archive. Decide whether you need recordings, shorter broadcast segments or another archive plan, then verify the behavior in your own channel and workflow.
Monitor the viewer-facing result
- Check YouTube Live Control Room’s preview and stream-health indicators after launch and during ongoing operation.
- Watch for encoder exits, playlist stalls, exhausted storage, server or network interruptions, and audio or video disappearing while the connection remains open.
- Arrange an alert and a recovery procedure appropriate to your software and hosting setup; YouTube’s setup documentation does not prescribe a particular supervisor or alerting system.
