YouTube says Super Chat and Super Stickers are automatically available on eligible live streams and Premieres when live chat is on. Its published list of excluded video types does not name members-only streams. However, YouTube does not expressly guarantee availability for this exact combination, so confirm the option in YouTube Studio and on the live stream before counting on the income.
Members-only viewing and members-only chat are different
A members-only live stream limits who can watch: viewers must have an eligible channel membership level. A members-only live chat works differently: the stream can remain public, while only members are allowed to post messages. These settings affect access and participation respectively; neither should be confused with the other.
Super Chat is a paid highlighted message in live chat. Super Stickers are paid animated images. Both depend on channel-level fan-funding eligibility and the eligibility of the individual stream. YouTube describes them as automatically available on eligible live streams and Premieres where live chat is enabled. YouTube Help: Manage YouTube Super Chat & Super Stickers for Live Chat.
What YouTube’s rules establish—and what they do not
YouTube’s published exclusions for Super Chat include age-restricted, unlisted, private, Made for Kids, and YouTube Giving fundraiser videos. Members-only streams are not named in that list. That supports the expectation that a members-only stream can qualify, but it is not an explicit promise that every such stream will offer Supers.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The official guidance also does not say that running continuously for 24 hours or longer changes eligibility. The careful answer is therefore conditional: a members-only 24/7 stream may offer Super Chat if the channel and stream qualify and live chat is available, but check the specific broadcast rather than relying on a general rule.
Check eligibility before relying on Super Chat
- Confirm channel eligibility. The channel must be in the YouTube Partner Program and meet the applicable fan-funding requirements, including age and supported-location rules. Use YouTube Studio to verify the channel’s current status.
- Check commerce setup. Accept the applicable Commerce Product Module and make sure Super Chat is enabled in YouTube Studio.
- Check the stream and chat settings. Make sure the stream is eligible, live chat is on, and it is not one of YouTube’s listed excluded video types. If chat or comments are turned off, Super Chat cannot function through live chat.
- Verify the actual purchase option. Open the live stream as a viewer and confirm that Super Chat is offered. YouTube’s general rules do not settle every detail of members-only, continuous broadcasts.
YouTube has different Partner Program thresholds for fan-funding features and ad monetization. Do not assume the higher ad-monetization threshold is necessary for Super Chat; check the current feature eligibility shown in Studio because thresholds and availability can change. See YouTube Partner Program overview and eligibility.

Members-only stream vs. members-only live chat
| Setting | Who can watch? | Who can post in chat? |
|---|---|---|
| Members-only live stream | Eligible channel members, according to the stream’s membership-level settings | Chat access depends on the live chat settings |
| Public stream with members-only live chat | Everyone | Channel members only |
For either configuration, check whether the specific live chat offers the Super Chat purchase option. The fact that a stream is public or members-only does not replace channel and stream eligibility checks.
How much of Super Chat revenue does the creator receive?
YouTube Help states that creators receive 70% of Supers revenue confirmed by Google. The calculation is after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees; YouTube says it currently covers transaction costs, including credit-card fees. This is not 70% of the gross amount before those deductions. The figure is from YouTube Help as accessed in 2026; the page does not display a publication year. See YouTube Help: YouTube partner earnings overview.

Keeping a 24/7 YouTube stream running
Eligibility for Supers and keeping a broadcast online are separate questions. For a prerecorded-video stream, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Each slot supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price, and includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. It streams to YouTube only; it does not broadcast a camera feed. You still need to confirm Super Chat availability for the specific stream in YouTube Studio and as a viewer.
