There isn’t enough verified evidence to name one best budget mini PC for an always-on YouTube Live retail promo in India. An Intel N100 mini PC is a reasonable category to investigate for a modest feed, but product listings alone don’t establish sustained encoding performance, 24/7 reliability, current price, or local warranty quality. First define the video workload and YouTube settings; then compare exact configurations and support terms.
If you want the broadcast to continue without leaving a computer running at the shop or home, StreamNeo is a cloud-based alternative for looping uploaded videos on YouTube.
Start with the promo feed, not the processor
A mini PC runs the encoder that sends your video to YouTube. Whether a low-cost system is suitable depends on what it must encode and how the broadcast is produced; “mini PC” or “N100” by itself is not a workload specification.
Describe what will be on screen
- Mostly static card or simple loop: a modest, pre-rendered feed is a different task from encoding several live sources. Specify the output resolution and frame rate you actually need.
- Animated text, transitions, or multiple scenes: include the overlays and scene changes in your test. They may change the workload compared with a single, unchanging image.
- Camera footage or multiple sources: account for the capture devices, connections, and encoder settings as well as the PC. An N100 listing is not evidence that a particular setup will handle multi-camera or high-motion 1080p60.
- 4K or production-critical broadcasts: do not infer suitability from a low-cost product listing. Require workload-matched sustained testing and a recovery plan before buying.
Translate the workload into encoder settings
YouTube’s current RTMP/RTMPS guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, frame rates up to 60 fps, constant bitrate (CBR), and a recommended two-second keyframe interval that should not exceed four seconds. YouTube recommends RTMPS. Its H.264 bitrate recommendations include:

#1 Best Overall
| Output | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate |
|---|---|
| 720p30 | 3 Mbps |
| 720p60 | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 5 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 6 Mbps |
For AV1 or H.265, YouTube lists 10 Mbps at 1080p30 and 12 Mbps at 1080p60. These are platform ingestion recommendations, not measurements of mini PC performance or promises of picture quality. Check YouTube’s current encoding settings when configuring your encoder; the right choice depends on your content and equipment.
What an N100 listing does—and does not—tell you
Intel N100 mini PCs are a plausible low-cost category to investigate for a modest, specified feed. MINISFORUM lists an N100 UN100P, and PrimeABGB’s India mini PC listings include an MSI system with an N100. Those listings establish that products in the category exist; they do not establish which configuration is best, whether a particular unit is in stock, or how it performs during continuous encoding.
Rank #2
- Ideal for Gifting
- Ideal for a bookworm
- Compact for travelling
The available product information does not provide comparable evidence for sustained encoding performance, power draw under your intended load, India pricing, or after-sales support. YouTube describes how an encoder connects to its stream URL and key, but does not certify a specific mini PC for your continuous workload. Treat N100 as a search lead—not a guaranteed minimum or a model recommendation.
How to compare India listings before buying
Compare complete, ready-to-run systems rather than relying on processor names or barebones prices. For each candidate, verify the listing and terms that apply to the exact unit you would purchase.
Rank #3
- Delivered price: include shipping and any import costs that apply.
- Seller and after-sales terms: confirm who sells the unit, the return window, warranty length, and where service is available. A listing does not establish the quality of local warranty support.
- Exact configuration: check the CPU, RAM, SSD, and operating system. Do not compare a barebones machine with a ready-to-run system as if they were equivalent.
- Connections: verify wired Ethernet and all ports needed for a camera, capture device, display, or other production equipment.
- Cooling and sustained operation: look for credible testing under an encoder workload similar to yours, including thermals and noise. A short benchmark or a product listing is not proof of 24/7 suitability.
- Recovery and continuity: establish how the system will restart after a power cut, OS update, encoder crash, or internet outage. If a missed promo has a material cost, consider whether an alert, backup connection, or backup encoder is warranted.
No comparable values are established for these factors across the cited N100 listings, so they do not support a ranked “best budget” pick. The choice between a modest single-source loop and a multi-source or high-motion production should be settled with a test of the actual setup, not a guess based on a product category.
Check the upload connection as carefully as the PC
YouTube advises maintaining 20% upload headroom above the combined bitrate of the primary and backup streams. Measure upload speed—not just download—at the installation location and during the times the promo will run. Include other office or shop traffic in the test. YouTube warns that a connectivity disruption can break a stream; a capable encoder cannot compensate for an unreliable connection.
Rank #4
If you plan to send a backup stream, include its bitrate in the headroom calculation. Test the complete arrangement under normal network use before relying on it for a continuous broadcast. The consulted guidance does not establish which ISP, router, or backup connection is suitable for your location.

Confirm channel eligibility and activate live streaming
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave it until the promo is due to begin. Follow YouTube’s live streaming setup guidance for the current workflow.

Connect the encoder and verify the preview
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and open the Live Control Room.
- In your encoder, enter the YouTube stream URL and stream key. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Set the intended resolution, frame rate, codec, CBR bitrate, and keyframe interval. Use RTMPS where your encoder supports it, and check YouTube’s current settings rather than treating the figures above as fixed hardware requirements.
- Start a test transmission and confirm that the Live Control Room preview shows the correct video and audio before making the promo public.
Plan for continuous operation
YouTube’s event guidance advises preparing the encoder at least two hours beforehand, starting it at least 15 minutes before the event, checking the preview, confirming that a local archive file is growing, and monitoring stream health, audio, and video. For a continuous promo, also decide who or what will respond to a failure: a restart, operator alert, backup connection, or backup encoder may be more consequential than a small processor upgrade. YouTube’s guidance does not assess particular India UPS, ISP, or failover products.
Decide how the replay will be preserved
Do not assume a single always-on broadcast will produce a complete YouTube replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a replay matters, plan a local recording and consider scheduling the broadcast in segments; verify the current behavior in YouTube Studio rather than relying on one long archive.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the promo is a recording or playlist rather than a live camera production, StreamNeo can loop uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud. The process is: upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live.
- Your computer and home or shop connection do not have to stay on for the stream to keep running.
- Every quality is included at one price per slot; uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding or quality tiers.
- StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card, with one free day per account. The monthly option is $9.99 per month.
StreamNeo is for uploaded videos and YouTube streams, not a live camera feed. Start your free StreamNeo day.
