You can run a continuous YouTube Live channel by arranging your original songs and cartoons into a playlist, then sending it through a computer encoder or a cloud streaming service. Before going live, classify the audience accurately, confirm rights to every part of the program, test the stream, and plan for interruptions: YouTube does not guarantee uninterrupted delivery or a complete archive of a 24/7 broadcast.
Plan a continuous program, not just a repeating file
Build a playlist that alternates songs and cartoon episodes in a deliberate order. The exact cadence is an editorial choice, not a YouTube requirement. Transitions or short original interstitials can help make the stream feel like a program when they add meaningful value; simply repeating the same material does not by itself establish that value.
Keep the source files and a separate local recording. Decide who will monitor the broadcast, what they will check, and who will respond if the stream or audio fails. A continuous stream still needs operational oversight even when the playlist runs automatically.
Clear the rights and set the audience correctly
Confirm rights for every element
Having created the songs or cartoons is not enough unless you control the rights needed for the full broadcast. Check the compositions, sound recordings, animation, characters, and any third-party material, and keep documentation. YouTube scans live streams for copyright matches; a match can interrupt or terminate a broadcast. Mark child-directed content accurately
A channel built around children’s songs and cartoons is likely to be Made for Kids. YouTube requires creators to designate the audience; do not rely on automated detection to make the decision. When content is set as Made for Kids, personalized ads and features including live chat and Super Chat are disabled, along with other restrictions. Review YouTube’s audience-setting guidance and choose the setting that accurately reflects the content.
Choose how to send the playlist to YouTube
YouTube Live accepts an encoder workflow: the encoder sends video to YouTube using a stream URL and stream key. Options include software encoding on a computer, a hardware encoder, or a cloud service. Choose based on whether it can loop or schedule prerecorded media, how it handles recovery and monitoring, your operating costs and technical effort, and whether you can keep a local computer and network available. YouTube’s encoder guide lists third-party options, but listing is not an endorsement and does not establish a universal best choice.

If you select a product from an encoder list, check that it supports your intended continuous prerecorded-media workflow and current YouTube Live compatibility. A live streaming encoder is a relevant category to consider; no particular model is established as the right choice for every channel.
Set up and test the YouTube Live stream
- Check channel eligibility. YouTube requires channel verification and no live-stream restrictions during the preceding 90 days. First-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guide.
- Create or schedule the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule a stream. Set the audience accurately as part of the stream setup.
- Configure the encoder. Copy the stream URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s matching fields. Treat the key like a credential: do not publish or share it. Use the encoder’s playlist or looping controls to load the planned order of songs and episodes.
- Preview before going live. Start the encoder’s preview or send its signal to Live Control Room, then check that the picture and audio are present and that the program begins in the intended order. Fix problems before starting the public broadcast.
- Start and verify the live page. Start streaming in the encoder and confirm the signal appears in Live Control Room and on the channel’s watch page. Check access on a mobile device as well as the channel page.
- Monitor the broadcast. YouTube recommends preparing the encoder ahead of time, previewing the feed, checking the local archive, verifying access on channel and watch pages and mobile, and monitoring audio and video. Assign someone to respond to an interruption rather than assuming a 24/7 playlist will never need attention. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
Plan around interruptions and the archive limit
YouTube does not guarantee that a continuous broadcast will remain uninterrupted. Keep local media and a recording, monitor the stream and network, and decide in advance who will restart or otherwise respond if the encoder or stream stops. YouTube’s operational guidance recommends monitoring and checking the local archive, but does not promise 24/7 uptime.

Do not count on a 24-hour live broadcast becoming a complete replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If viewers need a replay, keep your own recording and publish shorter replay videos or programming blocks separately. See YouTube’s archive guidance.
Understand monetization limits for a kids’ music stream
Eligible YouTube Partner Program channels can enable live-stream ads, but ad slots are not guaranteed. Made-for-Kids settings also disable personalized ads and several engagement features, so do not plan around those features being available.

Monetization review considers whether content is highly repetitive with minimal variation or value, and whether reused content has meaningful original contribution. A library of songs and cartoons may be yours, but looping it does not automatically establish monetization eligibility. Make authorship and programming value clear, and consult YouTube’s channel monetization policies and live-stream ad guidance rather than assuming that a continuous stream will earn revenue.
