सीधा जवाब: YouTube पर FFmpeg की RTMP/RTMPS publishing के लिए HTTP वाले reconnect flags को भरोसेमंद reconnect switch न मानें। पहले Live Control Room से सही stream URL और key की पुष्टि करें; फिर FFmpeg के logs और process को monitor करें और process बंद होने पर उसे बाहरी supervisor से relaunch करें। साथ ही upload capacity और YouTube के stream-health संदेश जाँचें—क्योंकि relaunch खराब key, कमजोर नेटवर्क या YouTube की समस्या ठीक नहीं करता।
पहले पहचानें: समस्या किस layer पर है?
“Reconnect” एक ही चीज़ नहीं है। FFmpeg का process बंद हो जाना, input file या source का रुकना, RTMP/RTMPS output का disconnect होना, और YouTube ingest या नेटवर्क की समस्या अलग-अलग failure हैं। उपाय चुनने से पहले FFmpeg का log और process state देखें।
- FFmpeg बंद हो गया: बाहरी supervisor उसे फिर से शुरू कर सकता है।
- FFmpeg चल रहा है, पर output विफल है: log में output error देखें; केवल process restart loop काफी नहीं होगा।
- YouTube पर preview या stream health खराब है: URL/key, encoder settings और outbound network जाँचें।
- Input खत्म या unavailable है: input के लिए recovery चाहिए; output को दोबारा शुरू करना अपने-आप source बहाल नहीं करता।
किसी एक setup से यह गारंटी नहीं मिलती कि reconnect के बाद वही YouTube watch page स्वस्थ रहेगा। इसलिए production से पहले recovery को खुद test करें।
HTTP reconnect options RTMP publishing का सार्वभौमिक हल नहीं हैं
FFmpeg Project की Protocols Documentation में reconnect, reconnect_at_eof और reconnect_streamed HTTP protocol के अंतर्गत दिए गए हैं। RTMP अलग protocol section में है। इसलिए HTTP input के लिए documented reconnect options को YouTube पर RTMP/RTMPS output के automatic retry की गारंटी की तरह इस्तेमाल न करें। Option support और placement FFmpeg build, protocol तथा input/output के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।

बिना FFmpeg version, operating system और failure layer जाने कोई एक universal reconnect command देना सुरक्षित नहीं है। अपने build की documentation और log के आधार पर ही flags चुनें। लंबे समय चलने वाले publisher के लिए process supervision, log monitoring और YouTube में health verification अलग-अलग operational layers हैं।
YouTube पर URL, key और encoder सेटिंग जाँचें
- Live Control Room खोलें: YouTube Studio में संबंधित live stream चुनें और encoder setup में दिखाया गया stream URL तथा stream key लें। YouTube की encoder से live stream बनाने की मार्गदर्शिका इन्हीं विवरणों से publishing setup करने को कहती है।
- FFmpeg destination मिलाएँ: जाँचें कि output सही YouTube ingest URL पर जा रहा है और उसी live stream की key इस्तेमाल हो रही है। URL या key बदली हो तो encoder में भी update करें। YouTube के live stream settings में URL और key का संदर्भ है।
- Reset या compromised key बदलें: नई key को encoder configuration में डालें। असली key को command example, screenshot, सार्वजनिक log या chat में न दिखाएँ।
- Protocol और encoder विकल्प सत्यापित करें: YouTube की encoder settings guidance RTMP/RTMPS ingestion, H.264, H.265/HEVC और AV1 का उल्लेख करती है; वह CBR और 2 सेकंड keyframe interval की सिफारिश करती है, जो 4 सेकंड से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए।
- Bitrate को उपलब्ध upload के अनुरूप रखें: YouTube की bitrate guidance codec, resolution और frame rate के अनुसार बदलती है। ऐसा bitrate चुनें जिसे आपका outbound connection लगातार भेज सके; केवल resolution देखकर rate तय न करें।
Hindi cartoon होना अधिकार का प्रमाण नहीं है। किसी cartoon को 24/7 rebroadcast करने से पहले सुनिश्चित करें कि आपके पास आवश्यक अधिकार या अनुमति है; तकनीकी reconnect copyright permission नहीं देता।

FFmpeg process और logs से failure अलग करें
अगर FFmpeg process exit हो चुका है
Exit status और आखिरी log lines देखें, फिर बाहरी process supervisor या अपने deployment के restart mechanism से FFmpeg दोबारा शुरू करें। यह सिर्फ process exit को संभालता है; गलत stream key, अनुपलब्ध input, अपर्याप्त upload या YouTube ingest error को नहीं।
अगर FFmpeg चलता दिखता है, लेकिन stream नहीं पहुँच रही
Output से जुड़ी error lines देखें और पहचानें कि connection बार-बार fail हो रहा है या process किसी दूसरे काम में अटका है। फिर endpoint, key, encoder settings और network की जाँच करें। अपने deployment की design के अनुसार output को restart या process को relaunch करें। केवल HTTP reconnect flags जोड़कर RTMP output recovery मान लेना उचित नहीं है।

Restart loop की सीमा
बाहरी supervisor प्रक्रिया को दोबारा शुरू कर सकता है, लेकिन समस्या बनी रहने पर वही failure बार-बार लौट सकता है। Restart की संख्या और delay अपने system के अनुसार तय करें, logs सुरक्षित रखें और repeated failures पर alert रखें। कोई सार्वभौमिक delay या recovery time इन आधिकारिक मार्गदर्शिकाओं में स्थापित नहीं है।
Upload capacity और stream health की जाँच करें
- Outbound capacity की तुलना करें: configured stream bitrate के मुकाबले स्थिर upload उपलब्धता देखें। YouTube Help की streaming tips primary और backup bitrate के कुल योग से 20% अतिरिक्त outbound bandwidth headroom रखने की सलाह देती हैं (YouTube की वर्तमान undated guidance, 2026 में देखी गई)।
- Shared network उपयोग देखें: अन्य devices या uploads उपलब्ध capacity घटा सकते हैं। YouTube चेतावनी देता है कि connectivity disruption stream तोड़ सकता है। Wired Ethernet एक उपयोगी सुधार हो सकता है, लेकिन यह ISP capacity, router/power समस्या या YouTube ingest error का पक्का इलाज नहीं है।
- Live Control Room preview देखें: encoder preview आने तक प्रतीक्षा करें और stream-health messages पढ़ें। FFmpeg process चलना अपने-आप में इस बात का प्रमाण नहीं है कि YouTube को सही feed मिल रही है।
- प्रतिनिधि सामग्री से परीक्षण करें: YouTube motion और audio वाली सामग्री से test करने, stream health monitor करने और local recording इस्तेमाल करने पर archive file बढ़ रही है या नहीं देखने की सलाह देता है।
- Backup encoder failover test करें: YouTube की live streaming tips के अनुसार primary encoder रोककर या उसका Ethernet cable disconnect करके जाँचें कि player backup पर जाता है या नहीं। यह backup-encoder परीक्षण है, एक FFmpeg process के automatic reconnect का प्रमाण नहीं।
24/7 stream की तैयारी और archive की सीमाएँ
YouTube की event-preparation guidance encoder setup कम-से-कम 2 घंटे पहले करने और scheduled event से कम-से-कम 15 मिनट पहले उसे शुरू करने को कहती है। ये scheduled event की तैयारी के समय हैं—24/7 stream के reconnect interval नहीं।
