There is no verified loadout that wins every solo Hardcore run: map, tower ownership, early-wave economy, and how reliably you keep damage on the boss all matter. For the current post-rework mode, plan around the Void Reaver on wave 45: survive the opening with an affordable defense, build sustained boss damage, and preserve coverage through its curses and fast final phase.
What changed in Hardcore—and what you need to beat
Tower Defense Simulator’s v2.0.0 update, dated June 5, 2026, reworked Hardcore and added Voidcore, according to the official Tower Defense Simulator Wiki’s version history. Current Hardcore’s Void Reaver appears on wave 45, not wave 50; the older ordinary-Hardcore version of the boss was removed in the rework. The wiki’s wave data labels its current period “5 June 2026 – Present.”
The boss fight is less about one perfect tower lineup than maintaining damage through disruptions. The Void Reaver page describes Cursed Blade as debuffing towers and summoning six Blessed Souls, while Void Judgement curses six towers until the boss reaches zero health. At 60% health, Void’s Wrath grants the boss a 25% speed boost. At 180,000 HP—15% of its 1.2 million HP in Hardcore—Void Deathwish begins: the boss moves at speed 4.5 and stops using abilities. That last phase makes range and coverage urgent; towers that lose the boss can miss a short damage window.
Build the run in three jobs
1. Survive the opening with what you own
Choose an affordable early defense that can handle the selected map’s opening waves with your inventory. There is no evidence-backed universal opener or exact upgrade order here: sequence guides depend on their map, version, starting conditions, and tower access. A brittle opening that needs precise timing is a poor fit if you want a repeatable solo run.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
2. Fund only the economy your plan needs
Farm can support a damage-heavy plan, and a secondary TDS guide describes a general Farm-and-Commander approach. That is not a verified solo build for the post-rework mode, however. Do not assume a particular Farm progression, cash threshold, reward, or cost without checking it in the current game and for your map. Stop expanding the economy early enough to afford the damage and support you need before the boss.
3. Change from wave defense to boss damage
As the run approaches its final wave, prioritize sustained damage rather than adding more early-wave tools. The official wiki lists Juggernaut, Pursuit, Ranger, Turret, and Accelerator as high-DPS options, with Commander, Medic, and DJ Booth as possible support. Which combination is feasible depends on what you own and what your economy can fund; the list is a set of roles to consider, not a guaranteed winning loadout.

Keep damage on the Void Reaver
Cover more than one angle of attack
Spread your damage sources so a single curse or attack does not disable all of them. Where it makes sense for your economy, sell and replace a key cursed tower rather than letting a large share of your DPS sit idle. Support towers can improve a plan, but do not let them crowd out the damage needed to finish the boss.
Use range and repositioning for Deathwish
Ranger’s long range can help keep the boss covered, while Pursuit can be repositioned. If the boss moves beyond a tower’s range, the wiki advises replacing towers quickly; plan your placements and available cash with that possibility in mind. The Deathwish speed increase is the reason to preserve coverage before the boss reaches its last 180,000 HP, not to wait until then to react.

Do not make stalling your boss plan
The official wiki advises prioritizing boss damage: most stall options cannot stall Void Reaver. Freezer, Frost Blaster, and Sledger can chill it but cannot freeze it. Electroshocker, Tesla, and Warden cannot stun it and have weaker slowing effects. These towers may have other uses, but their control effects are not a substitute for damage uptime.
What a no-Accelerator example can—and cannot—tell you
A community video listing describes a no-micro, no-Accelerator loadout of Turret, Ranger, Military Base, Pursuit, and Mercenary Base. Its comments outline a sequence involving early Military Bases, then Pursuit and upgraded bases, followed by Mercenary Base, Turret, Pursuit, and Ranger investment, with abilities used late. Treat it as a player-authored example, not a verified current clear: its exact costs and timings were not checked against a complete current gameplay recording, and its map and modifiers were not established.

A community strategy mapper also indexes solo Hardcore guides and map pages, including Wrecked Battlefield and Wretched Front. An indexed guide is a place to look for map-specific ideas, not proof that its build still works after updates. Evaluate any candidate loadout against the same practical questions:
- Can it reliably cover early waves on your map, and how costly is it to come online?
- Does it require Accelerator, or is it designed to avoid it?
- Can it sustain boss damage after curses and other disruptions?
- Does its range or repositioning plan keep damage on the fast Deathwish phase?
- Does it require precise ability use or targeting micro?
- Do you own the towers, and is the strategy meant for your map?
- When was the sequence last checked against game changes?
Use current mechanics, not an old wave-50 script
Guides built around the legacy wave-50 Void Reaver do not describe current ordinary Hardcore after the June 2026 rework. Prefer current wave and boss information, then treat exact community placements as version-sensitive. The independent TDS Hub guide says it is updated for v2.4.0 and offers general Hardcore advice, but it is not a verified solo post-rework upgrade order; its opening structure differs from the official wiki’s current wave framing. For current boss and wave mechanics, the official wiki’s Void Reaver and Waves pages are the more relevant references.
