Short answer: Gyre and LiveReacting both describe cloud services for looping prerecorded videos on YouTube without leaving your own computer running. Gyre’s published plans give specific HD and 4K stream limits; LiveReacting emphasizes interactive features and says its 24/7 plan supports unlimited duration, while concurrency and destinations depend on plan. Neither provider’s public descriptions establish which performs better in independent testing. If you want a simpler cloud option, StreamNeo is another service to consider first: it keeps an uploaded video or playlist running on YouTube, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot and a free first day.
Which service fits your always-on stream?
Choose by the job you need done, not just the “24/7” label. Compare concurrent streams, resolution, storage, scheduling, destinations, and whether you need audience interaction. The provider descriptions below are specifications and feature claims, not independently measured uptime or head-to-head performance. Features and plan terms can change; confirm the current limits and checkout terms before subscribing.
- StreamNeo — first alternative to consider: Cloud playback for YouTube with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, plus a free first day. Upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live; the computer can be off.
- Gyre: A fit to investigate if you need multiple concurrent streams or want its published plan-based HD/4K capacities, playlist scheduling, video conversion and storage, or YouTube channel authorization workflow. See Gyre’s current product and plan information.
- LiveReacting: A fit to investigate if interaction is central to the show. Its product page describes trivia, polls, giveaways, word games, guest appearances, and chat overlays, alongside prerecorded playlist streams. Feature access and simultaneous destinations depend on plan. See LiveReacting’s product page.
Gyre’s public plan table lists one HD stream on Start, four HD streams or one 4K stream on Start+, and eight HD streams or two 4K streams on PRO+. LiveReacting states that its dedicated 24/7 plan allows unlimited duration, but the reviewed material does not establish a complete comparable set of concurrency, resolution, and storage limits. Check its current plan details directly rather than assuming “unlimited duration” means unlimited simultaneous streams.
Compare the practical limits before choosing
| Decision point | Gyre | LiveReacting | What to verify for your channel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Continuous workflow | Upload and convert videos, build looping playlists, schedule streams; a product update describes YouTube API-based channel authorization and automation. | Prerecorded-video playlist workflow with cloud operation after setup. | Can existing channel videos be imported directly? What formats, transfer limits, or storage constraints apply? |
| Concurrency and resolution | Published plan capacities: Start, one HD stream; Start+, four HD or one 4K; PRO+, eight HD or two 4K. | 24/7 duration is stated for its dedicated plan; exact comparable concurrency and resolution limits are not established in the reviewed pages. | How many simultaneous broadcasts do you need, at what resolution, and are those limits included in the selected plan? |
| Storage and scheduling | Plan-dependent storage and scheduling; consult the current plan table. | Plan-dependent features; the reviewed pages do not establish a like-for-like storage allowance. | How much source footage must be stored, and can the service schedule the start, stop, and metadata actions you need? |
| Destinations and interaction | The reviewed materials focus on continuous prerecorded streams and scheduling; destination limits should be confirmed for the chosen plan. | Interactive features are described, while simultaneous destinations depend on plan. | Do you need a passive loop, an interactive program, or more than one destination? Confirm availability and limits in writing or at checkout. |
Gyre’s automation update describes YouTube API-based metadata and broadcast creation; the feature set and availability should be checked against the plan and current product information. LiveReacting’s interactive tools may matter for a hosted event, but they are not necessary for a simple music, ambience, or scheduled video loop. Provider descriptions alone do not establish comparative reconnection behavior or real-world uptime.

How to choose based on your stream
Choose around capacity first
Write down the number of concurrent streams, target resolution, duration, source-video storage, and destinations you actually need. Gyre’s published capacity figures make a concrete starting point if you need multiple simultaneous HD or 4K streams. For LiveReacting, confirm the exact plan’s concurrency and resolution allowances; an unlimited-duration stream is not the same as unlimited capacity.
Decide whether you need interaction
If viewers should answer polls, play trivia or word games, enter giveaways, see guest appearances, or use chat overlays, LiveReacting’s stated feature set is relevant. If the channel is intended to run a repeating playlist without a host, prioritize the playlist workflow, storage, scheduling, and the number of simultaneous streams instead.

Check channel control and operations
Ask how the service connects to YouTube, which broadcast details it can automate, how you start and stop a stream, and what happens after a disconnection. Gyre describes a YouTube API automation workflow in its YouTube API update. These are vendor-described capabilities, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service.
Prepare the channel and content before setup
Confirm YouTube livestream access
YouTube’s live-streaming requirements say the channel must be verified, must not have a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and the person streaming must be at least 16. Resolve access restrictions before configuring a third-party service.

Use content and music you have rights to broadcast
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to hold the necessary rights, including music rights. A licensed video or track is not automatically cleared for every platform, territory, or livestream use; confirm that your permission covers the intended broadcast.
Plan for monetization eligibility
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to livestreams and expect original, authentic content. Repetitive or mass-produced material may be ineligible. The policy page says its terminology changed from “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” on July 15, 2025. Merely keeping a stream live or repeating footage does not establish monetization eligibility.

Will YouTube archive a 24/7 stream?
Do not rely on YouTube to save a complete replay of an indefinite broadcast. YouTube Help says, “If your live stream is less than 12 hours, YouTube can automatically archive it for you.” A stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If the recording matters, keep a separate local archive; YouTube recommends recording one as a backup. The provider you choose does not change this YouTube limitation.
For an archive you need to retain, plan local storage according to the recording’s actual size and duration. YouTube does not prescribe a specific drive type or capacity.

Questions to ask before paying
- What is the exact number of concurrent streams on this plan, at the resolution I intend to use?
- How much source storage is included, and what happens if I exceed it?
- Can I schedule stream start and stop times, playlists, and the metadata or monetization defaults my channel uses?
- How many simultaneous YouTube destinations are permitted, and are interactive features included in this plan?
- What reconnection behavior, support terms, and plan duration apply? The public descriptions reviewed do not provide independent uptime measurements.
- What is the price shown at checkout today? The available provider information did not support a reliable like-for-like price comparison, so verify current prices and terms on each official plan page.
