You can use JioFiber to send a continuous YouTube lofi livestream, but the plan’s advertised download speed does not prove that its upload will stay reliable around the clock. First check your plan’s usage and service terms, measure upload speed where the encoder will run, choose a bitrate with headroom, and test the broadcast before making it public. You’ll also need rights for every track and visual, a plan for power or internet interruptions, and a separate approach to recording the stream: YouTube says a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured as an archive.
Can I stream 24/7 on JioFiber?
JioFiber can carry a YouTube livestream if the connection at your premises can sustain the stream’s upload bitrate. That is different from a guarantee that a particular plan or locality will support uninterrupted broadcasting. No locality-specific JioFiber measurements or hands-on reliability test establish that here; verify your own connection and plan.
Check whether your connection is prepaid or postpaid and read the current terms for that plan before treating continuous broadcasting—especially a monetized channel—as permitted without restriction. Jio describes unlimited plans as for home use and says misuse, unauthorized use, or commercial use can lead to service discontinuation. Its current postpaid terms treat consumption above 3300 GB in a bill cycle as misuse and say plan data benefits may be withdrawn; prepaid terms specify a 3300 GB threshold per 30-day recharge cycle. Check the connection and plan before choosing settings
Measure upload capacity
The relevant measure is sustained upload capacity, not the download-speed number in an offer. YouTube says the total stream bitrate must fit within available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving 20% headroom. Other household traffic can reduce the capacity available to the encoder, and a network disruption can break the stream. YouTube’s streaming tips explain the headroom guidance.

- Run repeated speed tests at the intended encoder location, including during busy household periods. Prefer a wired Ethernet connection where practical.
- Choose a stream bitrate below the upload rate you can depend on, leaving YouTube’s recommended headroom and allowance for other household use.
- Because a speed test is only a snapshot, send an unlisted or private test stream and monitor YouTube’s stream health over a representative period before going public.
Estimate monthly data use
A continuous stream uses data throughout the billing period, and household devices add to that total. Estimate the stream’s monthly traffic from its bitrate and operating time, then compare it with the applicable plan terms and your household’s expected use. Do not assume that the word “unlimited” means no threshold or usage conditions.
Set up and test the YouTube encoder
In YouTube Live Control Room, create or schedule a stream, then give the encoder YouTube’s server URL and stream key. Keep the key private: anyone who has it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel. Exact encoder menus vary by software, so use its YouTube streaming configuration rather than relying on a menu name that may not exist in your version.

Choose a bitrate your upload can hold
YouTube publishes recommended ingest settings by codec, resolution, and frame rate. For H.264, its current guidance lists 5 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps. These are YouTube recommendations, not a promise that a JioFiber connection will maintain either rate. YouTube’s encoder settings include the recommendations for other resolutions, frame rates, and supported codecs.
A mostly static or slowly animated lofi scene may not need a high frame rate. Start with a resolution and bitrate the measured connection can sustain; if the test stream reports health problems, reduce the bitrate or resolution and test again. Don’t raise quality just because the plan advertises a high download speed.

Run a representative test
- Use the same encoder, resolution, bitrate, network connection, and household conditions you expect to use live.
- Check YouTube’s stream-health indicators and encoder errors during the test, not only whether the preview appears.
- Confirm the encoder stays awake and the stream continues through the operating period you can reasonably test.
- Write down a restart procedure and keep the stream key somewhere secure so you can recover without exposing it.
Clear music and visual rights before broadcasting
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including copyrighted content, and may interrupt or terminate a stream when it detects it. An active live-stream copyright strike is among the restrictions YouTube lists. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and live-stream restrictions explain the relevant risks.
For every track, loop, sample, and visual, confirm that the license explicitly covers a continuous YouTube livestream and monetized use if you intend to monetize. Keep copies of licenses and permissions. “Royalty-free” alone does not establish that a particular license grants those rights.

Prepare for power, internet, and restart interruptions
Use Ethernet if practical, prevent the encoder from sleeping, and schedule disruptive system updates outside the broadcast window. Monitor stream health and decide who will notice a failure and restart the encoder. A continuous setup also depends on the router and encoding computer staying powered.
A UPS sized for the actual equipment load can help through a short power interruption; runtime depends on the load. It cannot prevent or repair a JioFiber-side outage. If you plan mobile-data or another-ISP failover, test it separately and check its data and usage conditions too.

Plan the archive separately from the 24/7 broadcast
A stream that stays live continuously is not necessarily saved as one complete YouTube archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all; it recommends keeping a local recording backup. YouTube’s archive guidance.
If a YouTube archive matters, plan shorter sessions and test the end-and-restart process you intend to use. Record locally if you need a backup, and size storage for the bitrate and recording duration. A single uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast should not be treated as a guaranteed complete archive.
