To add a video to an existing playlist, open YouTube Studio on a computer and go to Content → Playlists. Open the playlist menu, choose Edit on YouTube, then use More → Add videos to select a video from search, a URL, or your library. Adding it changes playlist membership; it does not guarantee that a 24/7 stream already running through separate software will reload its queue.
Choose the method that matches what you’re doing

Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.

Select Content in the left menu, then open Playlists.

Find the playlist you use for your 24/7 workflow. Open its menu and choose Edit on YouTube.

In the playlist editor, choose More → Add videos.

Pick the video using search, paste its URL, or choose it from your library. Confirm the selection to add it.

Review the playlist order. Drag the video up or down to change where it appears.

Add a video from its watch page

Open the published video on YouTube.

Select More → Save.

Select the existing playlist. YouTube displays a confirmation identifying the playlist that received the video.
Add a new upload to the playlist
During a computer upload, use the Playlist field in the video’s upload details. Choose the existing playlist rather than creating a new one. This assigns the upload to that playlist as part of publishing.

Check or undo the playlist change
After adding the video, verify that it appears in the intended playlist and at the desired position. In the playlist editor, drag an item up or down to reorder it. To remove an item, open its menu and choose Remove from [PLAYLIST NAME].
If these controls are missing, the available editing options can depend on account type; YouTube notes that playlist editing may not be available for supervised accounts. YouTube’s interface can also change, so check the current Studio controls if the labels differ.

Will the running 24/7 stream play the new video?
Not necessarily. Editing a YouTube playlist and configuring a live stream are separate operations in YouTube’s help guidance. A playlist edit confirms that the video belongs to the playlist; it does not establish that a live stream—especially one operated by third-party software—uses that playlist as its playback queue or reloads it automatically.

Identify what actually supplies playback: a YouTube playlist, third-party streaming software, scheduled video playback, or another setup.

Open that operator’s queue or playlist view and check whether the new item appears there.

Use the setup’s preview or another available playback check to confirm the new video is reached. If it is absent, consult the operator’s instructions for refreshing or updating its source rather than assuming YouTube will do so.
YouTube’s live-stream guidance describes stream settings and the Live Control Room; its playlist guidance covers adding, removing, and reordering items. The guidance does not specify a universal refresh interval or say whether a particular third-party setup needs restarting. A live-stream archive uploaded to a channel by default can be organized into playlists, but that does not make an archive playlist a 24/7 playback queue.
