To simply repeat videos for yourself, use YouTube’s playlist Loop control instead; that does not broadcast live. A looping source also does not guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 streaming: the local-PC method depends on power, Windows, OBS, and your internet connection.
Choose between repeat playback and a live broadcast
A YouTube playlist can mean a collection that repeats in the YouTube player or a sequence of local video files sent to viewers as a live stream. These are separate workflows. For a live broadcast, use local files in an encoder; putting an ordinary YouTube playlist URL into OBS does not start a live broadcast.
- Watch on this PC: create or open a YouTube playlist and select Loop in its playlist panel.
- Broadcast to viewers: prepare local files, loop them with OBS Studio’s VLC Video source, and send the output to YouTube Live.
Loop a YouTube playlist for viewing on your PC
- Open a video you want in the playlist. On its watch page, select More → Save → Create new playlist.
- Name the playlist, choose its visibility, and create it. YouTube says a private playlist is visible only to its owner.
- For each additional video, select More → Save and choose the playlist. Open the playlist and drag videos into the order you want.
- Open a video in the playlist, expand the playlist panel on the right, and select Loop.
This repeats playback in the YouTube player; it does not create a live stream for other people. YouTube notes that a video or channel marked Made for Kids cannot be added to a playlist from a homepage, though it can still be added from search results. The steps are not Hindi-specific: add whichever Hindi videos you want to watch.
Prepare the Windows PC and video files
Check YouTube Live eligibility first
Make sure live streaming is enabled for the channel before arranging a long broadcast. YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and have no live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time may take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube Help (accessed 2026-10-03), so do not leave this check until the planned start time.

Install OBS Studio and VLC
Download OBS Studio from the official OBS download page; its Windows release supports Windows 10 and 11. YouTube’s encoder guide describes OBS as open-source software available at no charge. Install VLC as well, because OBS’s VLC Video source requires it. If OBS is 64-bit, install 64-bit VLC.
Check your media and usage rights
Prepare the video files locally and confirm that each plays with sound before adding it to OBS. OBS’s Media Source supports common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, MP3, AAC, OGG, and WAV. For a sequence of multiple files, use VLC Video rather than a single Media Source.

Only stream video and audio you have the right to use publicly. A video being available to watch on YouTube, or being in Hindi, does not grant permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms require the content provider to have necessary rights, including music rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party material; it may replace a stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. Even licensed material can require the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Prefer original work or a license that explicitly permits public live streaming and any archive you plan to keep.
Create a looping local playlist in OBS
- Open OBS Studio and create a scene for the broadcast.
- Add a VLC Video source. Add the local Hindi video files in the order you want them to play.
- Leave Loop Playlist enabled. OBS describes this control as restarting the source after it runs out of media files. Shuffle Playlist is off by default, so files play in list order unless you change it.
- Preview the scene. Check that both picture and sound are present, then confirm that the final file returns to the first. This is a recommended setup check, not a guarantee of continuous operation.
Keep OBS open and the PC powered and connected while broadcasting. If Windows sleeps, the PC loses power, or the internet connection fails, this local encoder cannot keep sending the stream. The playlist loop only restarts the media list; it does not recover your computer or network.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live to open Live Control Room.
- On the Stream tab, create a stream if this is the channel’s first encoder stream.
- In OBS streaming settings, select YouTube if the integration is available. Otherwise, copy the stream URL from YouTube into OBS’s server field and copy the stream key into its key field.
- Start sending from OBS. Check the preview in Live Control Room before making the broadcast public. YouTube says the stream page is created after the encoder starts sending.
Treat the stream key like a password. Do not publish it in an article, video description, or screenshot.
Plan for interruptions and archives
What 24/7 means for a local setup
A local-PC stream needs continuous availability of the PC, OBS, power, and network, as well as monitoring and a way to recover after outages. A media playlist set to loop cannot restart OBS after a crash or restore a lost internet connection. If you need a broadcast to continue through a home-computer outage, compare a cloud-based option rather than assuming the loop setting provides uptime.

Do not rely on a complete 24-hour YouTube archive
YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived and recommends keeping a local archive backup. It also says, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all” (Archive live streams, accessed 2026-10-03). A single 24-hour broadcast therefore carries archive risk; do not promise it will appear as one complete video. If an archive matters, plan shorter streams and check YouTube’s current guidance before going live.

Troubleshooting the local-PC method
