How to Stream a Continuous Pranayama Playlist on YouTube Live in India

Use OBS Studio to loop prerecorded pranayama classes on YouTube Live, connect through YouTube’s encoder workflow, and test the stream before broadcasting.

To stream prerecorded pranayama classes continuously on YouTube Live, load the recordings into OBS Studio as a playlist, connect OBS to a YouTube encoder stream using its current server URL and stream key, then test the preview before making the broadcast public. The playlist can loop, but the broadcast stays live only while the computer, OBS, files and internet connection keep working. If you want the stream to run without a computer at home, StreamNeo is a cloud option for uploaded videos.

Choose the right OBS source for your class

Use a playlist source when you have multiple recordings to play in sequence, or a single media source when you want one recording to repeat. In OBS, VLC must be installed for the VLC Video source to appear. OBS documents these controls in its Media Sources guide.

What you want to play OBS source Loop control
A sequence of class recordings VLC Video Enable Loop Playlist to restart after the final file; choose whether to shuffle or keep the intended order.
One recording repeated Media Source Enable Loop.

Prepare the video files on the computer that will run OBS, and check that they play correctly before going live. If the class contains live teacher narration over the recordings, add and test a microphone; a microphone is not necessary for a fully prerecorded playlist.

Check YouTube Live eligibility

For encoder streaming, YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s general live-streaming page sets the minimum age at 16. Initial live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it in advance rather than waiting until the planned class time. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility information.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Do not confuse encoder eligibility with mobile live-streaming requirements. The mobile workflow has separate conditions, including a subscriber threshold and supported device; YouTube lists India as a supported location for mobile streaming. Those mobile conditions are not a general prerequisite for the OBS encoder workflow. See YouTube’s mobile live-streaming requirements. The official encoder instructions do not describe a special India-only setup.

Set up the continuous playlist and broadcast

  1. Prepare the recordings and rights. Confirm that you have the necessary rights to each class video, soundtrack, and other included material. Keep the final files locally accessible to OBS.
  2. Add the media in OBS. In the Sources panel, click + and select VLC Video. Add the recordings in the sequence you want viewers to see. Enable Loop Playlist if the sequence should begin again after its last file. For one repeating recording, add Media Source instead and enable Loop. If VLC Video is missing, install VLC and reopen OBS.
  3. Create or schedule the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule an encoder stream. Copy that stream’s current server URL and stream key; use the key for the intended channel and event. Treat the key like a password and do not share it publicly.
  4. Connect OBS to YouTube. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service, and enter the current server URL and stream key if using a custom server connection. YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains its stream connection workflow. Do not reuse a key from another event unless you have confirmed it is the one you intend to use.
  5. Start the encoder and test. Start streaming in OBS before starting the public broadcast in Studio. Inspect YouTube’s incoming preview and stream health, then check that both picture and audio are correct. YouTube recommends testing in advance and monitoring the stream while it is live; see its live streaming tips.
  6. Choose viewer controls. In YouTube Studio’s stream settings, decide whether to enable DVR. DVR lets viewers pause and resume the stream. Scheduling can show a stream as upcoming and let viewers set reminders. See YouTube’s live-stream settings guide.
  7. Check duration and archive behavior. YouTube’s encoder help says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Confirm current limits and archive settings in Studio before relying on a saved copy, especially for a long-running continuous broadcast.

Keep the stream running—and know the limits

Loop Playlist repeats the media; it does not keep the broadcast online if the computer shuts down, OBS stops, a local file becomes unavailable, or the network drops. For a do-it-yourself setup, keep the computer powered and prevent sleep, leave OBS running, maintain internet connectivity, and monitor YouTube’s stream health. A local loop is not a guarantee of uninterrupted uptime.

Protect the class from copyright interruptions

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects material belonging to someone else, it may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate the broadcast. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: YouTube says a rights owner may need to add a licensed channel to its Content ID allowlist. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.

YouTube’s livestream terms state that the provider represents it has the rights needed for worldwide exploitation of the live content, including music licensing rights, and meets applicable territory requirements. That platform statement is not a determination that a particular recording is cleared or a complete guide to Indian copyright law. Verify rights for the recordings, music, and territories relevant to your stream before broadcasting. See YouTube’s livestream terms.

Troubleshoot common problems

  • VLC Video is not in the Sources menu: VLC may not be installed. Install it, then reopen OBS and check the source list again.
  • The playlist ends instead of starting over: Edit the VLC Video source and enable Loop Playlist. For a single Media Source recording, enable Loop instead.
  • YouTube does not show an incoming preview: Check that OBS is streaming, the server URL and stream key are current and belong to the intended event, and the channel is eligible for live streaming. Confirm the stream health in Studio before starting the public broadcast.
  • The broadcast stops even though looping is enabled: Looping only repeats the files. Check whether the computer slept or shut down, OBS stopped, a file became unavailable, or the internet connection failed.
  • The live stream is interrupted or replaced: YouTube may have detected third-party content. Review the copyright guidance and confirm that the channel has the necessary rights; if licensed material is involved, ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting.
  • The stream is live but viewers report a problem: Check the Studio preview and stream health, and monitor both audio and video while broadcasting. Test the full setup before the scheduled class.
