Short answer: The Beelink SER5 with a Ryzen 5 5500U, 16 GB RAM and 480 GB NVMe SSD is a reasonable mini PC to shortlist for a simple YouTube promo stream—but it is not a proven 24/7 performer or a verified “best” buy. Treat it as a candidate, confirm the exact Indian listing and warranty, and test it under your real workload before relying on it. If your promo is a prerecorded video loop, compare a cloud service such as StreamNeo before buying hardware; if it uses a live camera or complex scenes, a local encoder may be necessary.
First decide what the promo stream needs to do
A prerecorded loop, a camera feed and a production with multiple video layers place different demands on a system. A simple file loop is generally a lighter encoding workload than several live sources and animated overlays, but no published test here establishes how the SER5 performs in either setup.
- Prerecorded video loop: Compare a mini PC with a cloud service that can play uploaded videos continuously. The cloud route avoids keeping a computer and home connection running.
- Live camera or capture source: You need a local capture and encoder workflow, or another service that supports the particular live input. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a live camera.
- Multiple sources, scenes or overlays: Test the exact production in the software you intend to use. A processor name alone does not establish sustained encoding capacity.
YouTube supports encoder software on a computer as well as standalone hardware. Its verified encoder directory lists OBS as open-source computer streaming software and describes Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded YouTube video. Directory listings are not comparative reliability tests or endorsements. YouTube’s encoder guide has the current directory and setup guidance.
Why the Beelink SER5 is a candidate, not a confirmed winner
The cited India listing describes a Beelink SER5 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 480 GB NVMe SSD, and names Amazon India as the store. The listing and its price history are a snapshot, not an official seller quote or a guarantee of current stock, delivered cost, warranty or configuration. Check the live page before buying: PriceHistory.app’s SER5 listing.
#1 Best Overall
There is no cited independent result showing this configuration’s continuous-encoding performance, reliability, temperatures or service life. Do not treat the model as tested for round-the-clock streaming based on its CPU and memory specifications. Before purchase, verify the precise SKU, seller, RAM and SSD, ports, Ethernet configuration, delivery and tax, warranty support, and return terms. The purchased configuration must match the one you evaluated.
Compare the whole setup, not just the PC price
- Workload: Identify whether the source is a file loop, live capture, or a scene with multiple sources; set the intended resolution and frame rate.
- Connection: Check that the unit has the network connection you plan to use, then test upload stability on that actual wired or wireless setup.
- Long-run behavior: Validate temperatures, fan noise, dropped frames and restart behavior in the installation environment. A short test or headline specification cannot establish 24/7 reliability.
- Power and network continuity: The local chain includes the mini PC, router or modem, encoder and power. A UPS sized for the actual load may reduce interruptions from short power events; calculate the required load and runtime rather than assuming any particular UPS will suffice.
- Support and recovery: Compare local warranty and replacement arrangements with the operating attention, backup power and recovery process required by a self-managed PC.
Set up YouTube Live and the encoder
YouTube’s encoder setup uses the Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. Keep the stream key private: do not expose it in screenshots, promotional assets or public documents. YouTube notes that enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours. Follow the current instructions in Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

- Prepare the channel. Confirm live streaming is enabled and allow for the first-time activation delay. Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or select the stream you intend to use.
- Choose an encoder. Install and configure your computer streaming software, such as OBS, or use another supported encoder. A mini PC by itself does not create the stream; the encoder and a valid source must be configured.
- Copy the connection details privately. Enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key in the encoder’s streaming settings. Treat the key like a password. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube rather than continuing with a compromised key.
- Set output to match the promo and connection. YouTube’s guidance reviewed on October 3, 2026 recommends RTMPS, CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, with no more than four seconds between keyframes. It lists H.264, H.265 and AV1, and up to 60 fps. Select settings your encoder and connection can sustain.
- Check bitrate against resolution and frame rate. YouTube’s recommended H.264 bitrate is 10 Mbps for 1080p30 and 17 Mbps for 1080p60. For AV1 or H.265, it recommends 10 Mbps for 1080p30 and 12 Mbps for 1080p60. These are encoder recommendations, not proof that a particular ISP connection will hold the stream reliably.
- Test representative content. Run the actual promo with its normal movement and audio. Check stream health and messages in YouTube, and inspect the encoder for dropped frames or connection instability. YouTube’s guidance is direct: “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” Read YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance.
- Test recovery as well as picture quality. For a local 24/7 deployment, validate what happens after a network interruption, power event or encoder restart. An hour-long test cannot establish round-the-clock reliability; test the actual hardware, software, connection and power arrangement over an appropriately extended period.
Account for copyright and channel eligibility
A stream that runs continuously still has to comply with YouTube’s rules and the rights attached to every asset. Confirm that you have permission to use the video, music, logos and other material in the promo for a live broadcast. A retail loop that is repetitive or mostly reused material may also raise channel monetization or policy questions; technical ability to loop a file is not approval from YouTube. Check the current rules in YouTube Studio and use original or properly licensed material. Do not assume that owning a copy of a track or video grants livestreaming rights.
Alternatives for a prerecorded promo loop
If the source is an uploaded video rather than a camera, compare the following routes before buying a machine. YouTube’s encoder directory identifies OBS as computer software and Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded YouTube streams; it does not provide a price comparison or reliability ranking. Check the directory description for current availability and details.

- StreamNeo — first cloud option to consider: It keeps uploaded videos live on YouTube from the cloud, so a home PC does not need to stay on; any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps uses one flat price per slot, and the first day is free. It is for uploaded videos, not camera input. StreamNeo’s comparison of PC, VPS and managed-service costs is provider-authored; transfer limits, VAT, IPv4, exchange rates and excess-transfer charges can change cloud totals. Read StreamNeo’s 2026 cost comparison and verify current terms for your use in India.
- Mini PC with OBS or another computer encoder: Gives you direct control of a local source and software, but you remain responsible for the computer, encoder, network, power and recovery. No evidence here establishes the SER5’s long-run capacity.
- Gyre or another listed cloud tool: YouTube’s directory describes Gyre as supporting 24/7 prerecorded YouTube video without a dedicated PC. Confirm the service’s current India availability, source limits, controls and price directly; the directory is not a reliability test.
- Standalone encoder hardware: YouTube’s directory also lists hardware, including AJA HELO Plus. The cited source does not establish an India price basis for it, so compare current local cost and suitability before treating it as a budget option.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a prerecorded retail promo, StreamNeo’s workflow is: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, then go live. Nothing has to stay powered on at home. It streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are accepted in India. See StreamNeo for details, then start the free first day.

What to verify before committing to 24/7 operation
- That the bought SER5 SKU matches the tested configuration and has acceptable seller, warranty and return terms.
- That the encoder sustains the chosen resolution, frame rate and bitrate with the actual promo, and that stream health remains acceptable.
- That upload stability, power protection and restart/recovery behavior fit the retailer’s tolerance for interruptions.
- That the content is cleared for livestreaming and the channel is eligible to use YouTube Live.
- That the full ownership and maintenance cost of a local setup is preferable to a suitable cloud service for a prerecorded loop.
